From the beginning, Leo always showed up when he said he would. First, to check the site and provide an estimate. Then second, to perform the demolition. They worked efficiently and finished the job earlier than expected. When I went in to inspect the demolition, I was pleased to see how neatly they did the job. They were careful not to damage the abutting walls and cleanly disconnected the plumbing. This will make it easier when the remodeling takes place. Overall, for the amount of work they did, manpower used and time it took, the price was right. Leo also gave me some suggestions on repairs around the house that were very helpful.

Here are my praises about hiring Mokoi at every step of the process: --Estimate and Proposal: Owner Viliami Mokoi came to inspect the work to be done, offered his recommendations from his years of experience, and put the specific descriptions of the work to be done in a written proposal (total of 4 proposals), including details I wanted to add, such as locks on the vinyl gates and installing a mailbox in the wall. I tried to obtain estimates from other contractors, but no one else was willing to do all the work such as removing roots and foliage and running underground pipes on all three sides of the house for the drainage system. --Superb Workmanship: I am still admiring the 2-tiered rock walls that are beautiful and solid (see photo). To install the underground drainage system, the crew had to use heavy equipment to excavate the jungle surrounding the house and haul in gravel to cover the pipes. The area is now clear and spacious with a hidden drainage system ready for heavy rain from hurricane and Kona low storms. Manoa rain and worker shortages caused delays in work, but the crew made up time by working hard and fast when they could. During the whole time, Vili texted to me about the progress of the work and promptly answered my questions. I am very pleased with the final products of the built walls and installed drainage system as well the patched concrete wall and leveled sidewalk. --Five Star Clean-Up: The crew hauled out all the piles of debris from the jobs and even swept up. We couldn't agree more! We had bought our new house and the backyard is about half an acre or more and was overgrown with palms, banana trees, lots of fruit trees and insect loving plants. There were spiky plants growing onto the lanai too. It was a BIG job to cut down the overgrowth and expertly prune all of our trees - at least 15 trees were cut/pruned and entire perimeter landscaping was cut back/ removed. The end result looks so clean, airy and enjoyable to look at. He also was very good about keeping enough trees so we had privacy, and just thinning some out. What I really like about Isaiah is that he is a real professional in his field. He knew each of our plants and how to handle the pruning - not just cutting them down but he knew where to clean them up, depending on the tree he was pruning. He educated us on the banana tree and palm pruning and many of the plants we were unfamiliar with and which ones were more prone to mosquitoes. He made recommendations on replacement plants as well as recommendations to remove some plants altogether. He can also buy new plants and re-landscape for you. We trust his expertise given the amazing outcome of our backyard. The island foliage grows quickly and even after 7 months the yard still looks super tidy. We also think his crew of workers are very professional and hard working. They arrived early each day and worked very hard to clean up our gardens - there were at least 4 haul-outs of compost from the project. I felt very comfortable with them at our house - just really good quality people. If you are trying to find a knowledgable arborist that is results driven and equally pleasant to work with, look no further! He is also super responsive. We called him and that very same day he was ready to do work for us. That is incredible! We will definitely be using him for all our upkeep projects going forward.

Well no bucket truck was used, cut right through the roots of my orchids, oh and they damaged a board on my garage roof. Split right in half after a trunk fell on it then they just fixed it back together with some rope. Very disappointing the tree looks butchered in places. Not happy with the job they did at all. Isaiah should show more pride in his company and give his customers what they pay for especially since money is so tight for everyone right now. Sorry I don't like to give bad reviews but I really am not happy. On the good side they did a wonderful job cleaning up all the debris.

Shane saved my day. I was worried because I don't have machine to use for the following day. I have 1 acre to clean up and I was thinking if I don't have machine, it will take us like a week to do it. When I searched online a day before the clean up, I called him right away. I thought he was already closed, but he answered his phone and YES! he got the machine that I was looking for. He delivered the following day and on the right time ( even though I wasn't there for the first trip he came. I rent his two machine) Then the second trip he came I was there (but I was busy cleaning up). He was fast and lucky that my clean up was in his area. From now on, I will call Shane if I have any more clean up. I will use his machine. I will recommend Shane for my friends. He is so very nice. A lot of companies gave the whole spiel of "$200/hr with minimum blah blah" or flat rate $7698475 for any move...which in my opinion was really overpriced or not consistent rates. If my move was 20 minutes (which is what it was with this crew), I'd still have to pay $400 total since the minimum was 2 hours? Anyway...Kitiona responded with a one liner amount, and no hidden fees. I was immediately drawn to this message. Not only was the response fast, the actual work of my getting my old refrigerator out and new refrigerator in literally took 20 minutes, I kid you not. On top of my dog barking up a storm, they were in and out quickly. The amount didn't change and everything went smoothly. I just wanted to say thank you guys so much! I love when the work is straight forward with no complications, and that's what you'll get with these guys.

But he was taking a very well-deserved vacation day, so Nate came out on the call for a water issue - On New Years Eve! He did a fantastic job! It turned out to be a much worse water problem than I originally thought. He stayed for hours, until the problem was thoroughly solved and my place was safe from what could have even turned into a health issue. These guys really goes the extra mile!

*DON'T DO IT - YOU'VE BEEN WARNED*…read more Michael was hired to "professionally clean" our 1 bedroom, 1 bathroom and shampoo/vacuum/steam our carpet on 12/3/2019 at 9am but he came about 15 mins late. Whatever, it was fine. He initially quoted me $375-$425 on yelp but after our initial walk through he changed the quote to $492.15 because he didn't know our living room and hall way had carpet. Ok whatever, that's fine too. I just needed the place cleaned out. At the final walk through, he did his little calculation on his phone and quoted me $497.xx Kitchen: Micheal strategically cleaned out specific drawers/cupboards in my kitchen so that when we did the final walk through, he knew exactly which drawers to open to make like he actually cleaned. He told me he cleaned behind my fridge to which he did not do. He did not sweep or mop my kitchen floor and he left stains on my counter top (see picture). He states there was "roach infestation" and wasn't able to clean certain areas of the Kitchen but per the Terminators that we hired, there wasn't any activities (unnecessary money we spent believing Michael and his lies). Bathroom: This dude left under our bathroom sink untouched, left the bathtub faucet with soap scums, the toilet still had the toilet ring. The toilet itself was just wiped on the top but he left the sides and bottom untouched. Also left the bathroom floor as is, no sweeping and/or mopping. He strategically stood in the middle of the bathroom (our bathroom isn't that big) and explained everything so I was not able to get in and get a good look on everything he claimed he "cleaned" (see pictures). Carpet: This one pissed me off. This guy literally just put water on my carpet and ran his vacuum over it. He did not steam, shampoo or put any stain solution on it. I know this because we had to get another guy come in and do what Michael was suppose to do. *GO SEE EXCELLENCE CARPET - YOU WON'T BE DISAPPOINTED* And he told us Michael did not do any of the above. When I did my walk through with Michael, I asked him about some stains on the carpet and he said "Yeah, I tried to get it off but it just wouldn't" - so funny he said that because when he left my husband scrubbed it off with a bottle cap and the stain came right off. Also, my two closets in the unit had carpet in them and this guy did not have the decency to at least vacuum the insides. Overall this guy and company is a SCAM!! Please please please don't hire these guys. I saw 2 previous bad reviews but I went with him anyway because he quoted me the least (ha!). I initially begged Michael to give us a refund back on our carpet or at least come back and re-do it but he said he asked his service manager and they are unable to do carpet refunds. It is funny he said because on yelp it says he is the owner. LOL Michael reached out to me after my Husband posted a review. All of the sudden he can do carpet refunds now, he requested that my Husband take off his review and he will refund us back $120 from our $497. He said he will only give me half of this $120 back AFTER I sign 'removal waiver with yelp' so no further can be posted. I told Michael he can keep my $120 and I'll write my review so that hopefully no one else can fall for his scamming ways. It was definitely a hard lesson to learn especially since it is the holidays and I have little kids to buy presents for. P.s Michael - Wish you and your family a Merry Christmas. Hope you buy them something nice with my $497 dollars. UPDATE: These pictures are my pictures and they are not meant for "black mailing" but to simply prove that Michael did such a bad job. I don't care about how much Mike quoted me. It is the service that you provided that I am dissatisfied with. And yes, please have Yelp review my account. Most of my reviews are 5 stars and I always like to write good things about people. ALSO, NO COMPLETE REFUND was accepted like Mike here says. Another Lie! LOL
