At first our ac was blowing warm air and then the ac suddenly stopped working. So the first ac repair determined there was a leak, so he just needed to spray a sealant for the leak. He said this works for majority of the houses he does. After he sprayed the sealant, the ac got cold and it was working. But then a month later, the day before thanksgiving, the ac went warm again and the air started to slowly blow. We also just had a baby and our house was really hot, even with all the windows and fans on. We then contacted the first guy who came out to the sealant and he said he will come out in a few days. He came out and said that the parts that needed to be fixed, the compressor and the coil, were under warranty and he will be able to fix it the next day. Unfortunately the day came and he never showed or called. We then contacted another ac repair because our house was really hot and we were getting desperate. The second ac company came out and didn't give us a clear answer but gave us two options, replace the compressor and coil and hope that works or change route the entire system which will resolve everything. However, their cost was an estimate of $12,000. We were then referred by family to Tino. Our family said that he is knowledgeable, honest and his prices are very reasonable. Be his also a military vet and gave them a good deal. We then called Tino. After his inspection, he said that the system we had was a second-hand unit that when Tino called the Trane company they said the system can't be found and never registered. The system also looked "jerry rig" and was not put in properly therefore it affected the rest of the system. Being new owners of the house, less than two years into the house , we were pretty upset and this was not disclosed in our agreement. Tino recommended to change the system. He does agree, that the compressor is out and if there is a leak then there is an issue with the coil. But he said if just one thing gets fixed, it will just a domino affect and we will have to change as each thing goes bad, costing us more money and time. He gave us prices for reasonable units with the cost of labor and we decided to get a new unit. Tino is pretty fast once you place a deposit and set up the repair date. Once the repair date came, Tino and his team were fast, respectful, and experienced. They ensured everything they did was done and working before they left and even set up our registering our new ac unit. Tino was great and we highly recommend him for all of your ac needs!

Bronson showed up on time, answered my questions and went right to work. Each unit took about 1 hr. Time depends on how dirty blower wheels are. Pricing very reasonable compared to other companies. He came out and spent 20 min looking at the system that was built with the house in 1999. He was very straight with me. He could help the system and do little tricks but it would maybe buys us a little time only. Better to suck it up and replace it. The good news? He could replace it with a more efficient system. The bad news? It was gonna take my stimulus for a family of 5 and then some. But it's Ewa. So you basically need air con to no die. He drafted me 4 options by the next day. It was done in two or three more days. His team was hard working and friendly. I recommended him to someone else that same day. He followed up a few days later and made adjustments. It save me money the first two billing cycles and then we got spoiled by how efficiently it was working and kept leaving it on 24/7. So that HECO bill is on us lol. Love this company!

This was the third unit I had installed by Shobu's. I have one in my living room and one in the…read moredining room/kitchen. This one would be for the master bedroom. All of the units are Mitsubishi. The first two are about ten years old. No big problems and when I did have a leak once, Shobu's responded promptly. The workers are very courteous and professional. They listen to what you have to say and work diligently. I also like that they are very neat and clean up their work area when they're done. They showed up when they were supposed to and took about a half day to finish the new installation. The new Mitsubishi is even quieter than my first two. It cost about $5800 but I was on my third window unit. The window units cost me about $700 each time. Split a/c's costs more but the noise difference and especially the room cooling makes such a huge difference. I would recommend Shobu's and Mitsubishi a/c, if you're looking for a split a/c system, it's a good combination!

On his first visit, they determined that our indoor evaporating unit coil was leaking. It was 8 years old and to be expected in the moist Kailua climate. He gave me three options: replace the coil, replace the unit with another used unit or replace with new. I chose new. As they were pressuring the system, I handed him a check for the estimated amount. Then they discovered three leaks in the outdoor condenser. Fortunately, his son managed to patch then with solder. Imagine my surprise when the cost was not increased for fixing the condenser.
