Suburban Stone Creek Coffee joints aren't like the Milwaukee locations, the coffee is the same but not the service. They don't like me using my cup, though they're not being careful about COVID in any way. They love to waste disposable cups, covers, straws, it's kind of a suburban strip mall thing I guess. The i-Gen workers aren't trained very well in oral communication by Boomer standards, this place is really oriented towards high school age customers. Also unlike the Milwaukee SC places, this one has easy convenient parking. read more

Stone creeks success comes from being less not more. Their core is good coffee and consistency... It's just that simple... Good coffee - It's not great, it's just good. The staff here is nice enough but very cliquey, employees seem like lots of graduated high schoolers (O-town) attending local colleges who like to hang out in the shop on occasion... Like the others say, this place is great. They can work a line pretty well, but it's generally not too bad. I tend to make it my pit stop whenever I'm headed to Madison early in the morning. Stone Creek has been my go to coffee shop for years. The staff are all very friendly and as a regular i always feel welcome. With the exception of new employees they all know me by name, and know what im going to be ordering befor I say anything. The atmosphere is great, they always have good music, and as you would expect from a coffee shop the smell is fantastic. I personally love spendi g alot of time here, its the perfect environment for getting work done or reading a book. I had become friends with a previous manager and got to lean some of the science behind the coffee. Each employee has to also complete training courses before they hop on the bar and start whiping out orders. They not only learn how to make drinks but are taught the science, and you can ask any question to the emplouees and they can answer in great depth. Im always impressed with stone creek employees. It is and will continue to be my favorite coffee shop. read more

I love stone creek coffee. Most I've been to are in funky locations around Milwaukee. My fave is in bayview. But walkers point and the one across from intermodal are also cool. Only four stars because this one is in a strip mall. Coffee still rocks (I had an iced coffee and wifey had a fancy pants iced tea). Next door to a bagel joint (shares doorway). Suppose it's better to have a great cup of coffee in a strip mall than junk coffee in awesome digs. read more

I can't say enough how impressed I was with Stone Creek. Everything was top notch; there was a diverse selection of drinks, the atmosphere was cozy & comfortable (especially with the bookstore right next door), and the customer service was the best you'll find anywhere. They are genuinely interested in you as a person, not just your money as a customer. For example, my girlfriend and I went in looking for a sandwich for a light dinner. The barista admitted the shortcomings of their own food menu (no sandwiches), and actually encouraged us to check out a specific sandwich at a shop just down the street. We did, and we thoroughly enjoyed the sandwich. Afterwards, we came back to Stone Creek to thank the barista and enjoy a hot latte. The drinks were just perfect. I'd go back anytime. Tough to find a good place that is so serious about their coffee -- offering pour over mug, chemex, french press, and aeropress options in addition to regular drip brew. I have yet to have a bad coffee here. Soooo Very Good! The staff is knowledgeable and friendly. The atmosphere is warm and inviting and makes you want to take a seat and take it easy. I love that it's right next to the bookstore and has an adjoining door. My only complaint is that the counter area where you place your order is too cramped. It's situated right near one of their doors, in a corner area with tables nearby that get overwhelmed with people standing around them. The service is a little slower than you'd receive at your other typical coffeehouse so there tends to be more waiting with nowhere to wait at this location. Otherwise, all is good! read more

I really like this place. The baristas are very friendly and attentive, and the atmosphere is modern yet comfortable. The music is at a good level and nice. I got a pour over on the v60 and it was delicious. The breakfast bar was awesome too, and it looks to me to be wheat free, but is not labeled as such. I find this place surprisingly more enjoyable to be at than the other large coffee shop in town. I love the couches there. But I find the atmosphere less friendly than here. I like the variety of drinks they offer--cardamom, honey, basil... Creative and delicious drinks. Owners: please change the credit card machine so that I have to sign it and can leave a tip!! It's so awkward to not be able to leave a credit card tip after they run the card. They provide excellent customer service and I don't always have cash. read more

Stopped in while in the area visiting my folks who just recently moved to Oconomowoc. While probably one of the "better" options in the area, I'd say it's similar to that of a Starbucks or other chain, and the coffee was just "meh" (despite the fact that they feature V-60 pour overs, which has us hoping for better coffee). The pour-overs were not executed appropriately, and the coffee did not taste very fresh. Probably will not be back. read more

I really liked the ambiance of Stone Creek Coffee. It's located in a fairly nondescript strip mall and was easy to overlook, especially with the construction occurring on Summit Ave. However, the inside of the cafe was in stark contrast to the outside--it had a rather industrial but comfortable feel. I did not really enjoy the vanilla latte I ordered--it was actually kind of tasteless, lacking both a significant espresso or vanilla taste. I wonder if it might have been just a poorly made latte, though, because I really enjoy their medium and dark roast coffees. I enjoy their coffee and ambiance enough to return to Stone Creek and give their espresso drinks a second chance in the future. read more

I have been going to Stone Creek for a few years. Mostly I order beverages of some sort but this time I ordered a scone. The mocha scone was extremely dry, hard as a rock, stale and just all around completely unsatisfactory. When I let the barista know, she just looked at me and muttered an apology under her breath. Only when I further complained that it should not have been displayed to be sold as stale as it was in the first place, did she offer me a free drink card. Regardless, the barista was not at all concerned and was not very willing to give away the free drink coupon. Normally I like this establishment, but in the future, I will never be ordering any kind of baked good from there again. read more
