These sandwiches were huge! We could easily have ordered just one sandwich and shared, and had plenty of food. We took half our sandwiches with us. By the way, the avocado chicken sandwich is great cold. I could wish for fresh brewed ice tea, but I understand the effort it takes to manage a brew pot and carafe, especially if it's not a commonly ordered item. No knocks on Lake House, but the stuff from a soda gun just doesn't taste the same.

The chicken here is really interesting because it's marinated in pickle brine. You can definitely taste the brine, and it adds something you didn't even realize was missing. My wife used to order the same thing, but now she tries something different each time because she knows she can share my strips. Everything she has tried has been good. Also worth mentioning: they have really good ranch dressing. I was surprised when I looked up Crafty Cow on Yelp and saw that it had less than four stars. Looking at some of the older reviews, I'm guessing it may have had a bit of a rocky start. I ordered the chicken sandwich with the 'Nashville Hot' seasoning (because, hello, Nashville Hot) and it arrived piping hot with lots of shoe-string fries, also piping hot. The flavours were absolutely wonderful, full of contrast and balance. The 'heat' from the chicken was excellent; the chicken was plump and juicy, and had been perfectly breaded and fried.
