The decor/ ambiance was a pleasant mix between relaxed/casual to upscale. Nothing fancy or pretentious, but welcoming and inviting. Although I'm a local I've not eaten here until tonight...a point I regret. I'm a steak snob that often finds numerous faults in a steak I get in a restaurant knowing I could do better at home. This was not the case tonight. My ribeye was cooked to perfection, was full of flavor, tender and juicy. That alone would bring me back for more, but the mushroom cream I had as a side was spectacular and took my experience to an all never level of enjoyment. My wife had the seared ahi tuna with a duck confetti fried rice. I sampled it...another success story there. I've read plenty of reviews about the price...but I'm here to tell you that the $ is in perfect alignment with the quality, flavor and portions received. My chicken dish that I ordered was good. It came with no bread or soup/salad. Our party of four went on a Saturday evening at 6. It was so loud it was hard to hear the person next to me. I left with an excruciating headache. It was not enjoyable for anyone in our party. I felt I was in a middle school cafeteria. I really don't know how you would improve the noise level. We went to Stone Creek tonight for a birthday dinner. Overall, the food was very good, but the service was a bit lackluster. Our waitress was kind and polite, but after we were initially seated, it felt like we were forgotten for a while. She did apologize, and the owner also came over to apologize, which I genuinely appreciated -- I understand that mistakes happen. However, we did mention that we were celebrating a birthday, and while we weren't expecting any sort of spectacle, it was disappointing that dessert wasn't even offered and the check was simply dropped at the end of the meal. As for drinks, the espresso martini was a bit too bitter for my taste. The lavender fizz had a nice flavor, though the texture was more puréed than expected -- not a bad thing, just interesting. The food itself was the highlight. The Brussels sprout appetizer was delicious, and my ribeye was cooked perfectly. The truffle mushroom side was excellent as well. This place is a hidden gem. We enjoyed an unbelievable burger, delicate kale Caesar with chicken, the buffalo shrimp (huge!) and life-charging lobster bisque. The atmosphere is cozy and the tables are not on top of each other, making it equally good for date night or for family dinner. Our servers were knowledgeable and beyond friendly and we had such a great initial brunch that we had to go back for dinner another night of our stay. The pork chop is the best anywhere. Had a very nice dinner at Stone Creek in Marcellus. Loved the atmosphere, was cozy and chic and our server was very attentive. They have a nice wine selection and creative cocktails. We shared a kale Caesar salad and it was a large portion with plenty to share. The Berkshire pork chop with Brussels sprouts was so tender, thick and juicy. The Scottish Salmon was a delicious combination of flavors served over Utica greens with creamy mashed potatoes. The star of the show was the lobster carbonara with chunks of lobster in a light lemony carbonara sauce with crispy peas...incredible. Can't wait to come back! read more

This is my third time visiting this restaurant! Every time I come here, the food is just so exceptional and it makes me want to come back and try more of their menu items. The hosts are always happy to seat you right away and then you are politely greeted by a very welcoming server. The service here is always phenomenal! Excellent! Definitely try this one. We walked and and got a bar top table. The only reason we tried this place was because our other go to restaurants were closed on a Tuesday. We are glad we did! The kale salad was declared by my husband as the best salad of his life. The deviled eggs were solid (should have tried the brussels!) We shared a burger and the lobster carbonara and both were good. Came here on a Friday night as a group of 5, we had made reservations prior to coming. Welcomed by the hostess and sat quickly. The restaurant looked like a high end restaurant but still cozy enough for a family to come and enjoy their meal here. I thought prices were right on par with the quality and effort put into the delicious food. Specials were read to us by our waitress, which I had to have her recite again, I do wish there was a printout or written down somewhere, mostly because I'm a visual person. But I did end up going with the Ahi tuna special which had the BEST duck confit rice with sweet potato and pea I've ever had in my life!! I would go back just for that rice. Dinner rolls are amazing- the seasoning in them with that butter compound is fantastic- you pay by the roll so order however many you will eat. Overall, this is a really great restaurant. We had reservations and we were sat on time. everyone we interacted with was very nice and attentive which you don't often see that level of service anymore. You can tell that the food was made with love and care. We started with the truffled deviled eggs, which were very good. The calamari, which was tasty and the amazing homemade rolls. An important thing to know about the roll appetizer is that it's three dollars per roll and I suggest getting more than one roll per person because they're that good and we kept saying we wish we got more! For dinner my husband got the fillet and exchange the baked potato for side for the side of mushrooms. He really enjoyed his dish and was obsessed with the mushrooms. For dinner I got the Scottish salmon. It was a very unique taste, which was pleasantly surprising and went well with the Utica greens and the mashed potato. Definitely recommend this restaurant for a date night or a celebration. Is pricy when you add in a few drink, but you get what you pay for. The service was good. The place is super loud. They definitely need more noise dampeners. The drinks were terrible. I got a blueberry lemonade with vodka and it tasted like slightly flavored water. The martini was the worst we've ever had. The wine was fine but it was red and we were surprised there was a bit of ice in it. Not ideal. The calamari was great. The potatoes and fondue app was also great. The chicken was fairly flavorless as were the mashed potatoes. Not a meal I'd recommend. It wasn't bad... it just wasn't something $30 worth of good. The pork chop was phenomenal so highly recommended getting that one! The scallop special was also very good. The burger and the fried chicken sandwich were great. There are some great options here- just avoid the bar drinks and the chicken and it will be a great night out. Have been there several times. Once for the soft opening, and once well after that. Both times the service was excellent. I ordered the Mahi both times and was impressed. Once was the Basil Mahi and the other time was the sandwich, both were very good. My wife ordered the Chicken Sandwich both times, so for her to get that twice, it has to be good, or she would have tried another item. The calamari has a very nice flavor to it, if you have a taste for it. The desserts are good, with the Toffee Pudding being our favorite. I am very much looking forward to the Panna Cotta on our next visit. The staff and the service is what really makes this place special for us. We started our night with delicious cocktails that were so pretty and had such rich flavor I had to have 2!! To begin our foodie experience let me recommend the lobster bisque bc it's by far the best I've ever had and everyone in my party of 4 felt the same!! Lots of ooohs and mmmmms!! The ribeye steak and loaded baked potato was my entree selection. The steak was cooked to a perfect medium and the baked potato was topped with sour cream, bacon and cheese. So good! We finished our dinner by sharing a piece of banana chocolate cream pie. It was about 4 inches high and was a piece of creamy, custardy, fudgy deliciousness. Prices are not inexpensive but I can guarantee you won't mind spending a little more for all the good things you'll receive for your money. Oh and service was impeccable!! Pleasantly surprised after hearing mixed reviews of the restaurant. Clam chowder appetizer had plenty of clams and was an upgrade from the usual types of chowder most places serve. Dinner choices of salmon, mahi, and salad entrees were delicious. As others have mentioned, we did not feel rushed, but service could be a little more attentive. So, I'm sure you have gone to restaurants where you're curious because they're new and the menu is a little different and they're a little off the beaten path and the menu looks good and your expectations are not necessarily all hyped up. The place opened on July 7. The wait staff was clearly well trained and mentioned that chef had them tasting everything so that they could comment somewhat intelligently on anything that someone might order and at least tell them their likes and dislikes and hopefully why His riff on Utica greens involved warmed, but not fully wilted, baby kale and pickled Fresnos. The parmigiano Reggiano was in small cubes. At first, when it arrived, I was not sure this was actually Utica greens as it also had thinly sliced brussels sprouts in the mix. One bite and I was curious was this actually what I ordered the second bite I was in love. The "wedge" was a spherical cap of cold crisp iceberg, surrounded by a homemade "ranch". A pepper oil ringed the preparation. the kicker to this all was the trompe de l'oeil topping, which was not crispy fried onions, but instead lightly dusted fine strips of red pepper, exquisitely, crunchy and crispy and flavorful. The succotash had me. With its corn, tiny beans that I could not tell if they were actually lima's or soy beans, and a few wisps of kale in only enough butter to coat the vegetables and not pool at the bottom of the serving dish. Very toothsome and not overcooked. The blackened mahi sandwich was not overpowering, probably because it was not over salted. The fish was sliced thick enough to be recognizable and remain soft but thin enough to have body and not squirt all over the place. It was served with a coleslaw with a hint of thousand island to it But no red. Simple cabbage and herb. One of the things I particularly liked, except for a comment that will follow, as that things were not overalled. Thank goodness! My only criticisms are personal preference and not the restaurant itself. I tried some of the french fries, which were shoestrings. Crispy on the outside, a little over salted, but not oily and still a little bit of potato feel on the inside. I tend to like more potato than crisp and more like "steak fries". They were good nonetheless. Everything was perfectly cooked. Everything... Except the wedge, of course. :-) The Utica greens were an interpretation that I loved that I wasn't sure that they had brought the right dish, but I am a believer in the Socratic concept of destroying all preconceptions, and I'm glad I did I was pleasantly surprised in a way that I have not been at a restaurant that I thought would be just a rehashing, however, well prepared or not It will be interesting to see how this chef who clearly wants to use local ingredients and stay in season will handle the winter months read more

I've had dinner there three times. Every experience was outstanding. Twice we got the burger and fries. Delicious and very reasonably priced. Our first visit we got appetizers (smoked onion fondue-rich and delicious and the baked stuffed potato- a meal in itself), wedge salad( one of the best I've had) and ribeye and pork chop, both juicy and outstanding. We had a nice meal on a busy Friday night in this relatively new restaurant, with excellent service and very good food. The menu is small and features some interesting dishes -- our salads and dinners were well prepared and nicely plated. Each of the staff we encountered was friendly, professional, and attentive. We were seated at a high top for two in the front room where the small bar is located. It's a lovely space -- although the huge tv made it feel a little more like a neighborhood sports hangout than an upscale restaurant. Our only negative experience was the noise level -- at times we could not hear each other due to the overwhelming din of the room (there were only two of us at our small table). It really detracted from an otherwise thoroughly enjoyable meal. Could acoustic panels or some other type of sound absorbing materials be considered? First time visiting. Saturday evening, 6PM, party of 2, no reservation. Seated right away, but about 5 minutes later, it got full and people had to wait. We ordered a handful of apps and split an entree special. Apps were the fresh made brioche, lobster bisque, deviled eggs, and pork belly. Everything was delicious. Generous portion of lobster meat with the bisque and the actual soup was amazing. Bread was to die for. I only wish you got more than 2 rolls with the order. Price did seem quite high for that. Pork belly was tender, juicy, and flavorful. Cole slaw that came with it was good, but we wanted to save room for other stuff so didnt eat much of it. Deviled eggs were alright. Nothing wrong, but nothing spectacular. Nice size portion of 6 half eggs. Main dish was halibut with lobster and veggies in a rich Newburg sauce. This was the only minor low point. The halibut was definitely overcooked. Great seasoning/sear on it. Sauce was great. Lobster meat was good. But the halibut itself was dry and chewy. That, when weighed against the rest of the food and the spectacular service, was not enough to deter me from giving 5 stars. read more

Went there after a couple people said they enjoyed their experience. For us it was the complete opposite. My wife ordered the basil crusted Mahi which she said was mediocre at best. I ordered one of my favorites in the chicken riggies. My first order came out warm at best and I am not talking about the spice level. The second attempt was a bit warmer but still no where near hot. Neither serving could I find ANY chicken. The basil was 1 leaf sticking up to look like a garnish not part of the dish preparation. The dehydrated chorizo (which was not on the initial dish) tasted like bacon. They say the food cost should be 30% of the price. In my dish I would be surprised if it was 10%. In an attempt to make up for the meal, we were offered a complimentary dessert which was a nice touch. We ordered the chocolate banana cream pie on the recommendation of our server. Basically it was a chocolate pie with 6 small pieces of banana around the pie. Have no desire to return to this restaurant. read more
