Food was excellent. I had the salmon and asparagus lemon risotto and it was so good. I was surprised it also came with a side. It came out very hot, but not at all over cooked, which I appreciate. Food at restaurants seems to usually be just luke warm. My husband had blackened chicken and pasta and he loved his as well. Portion sizes were really nice for the price. Stopped here for dinner. This was my husband and my 1st time here. We sat at the bar and ordered drinks. My husband decided to try their steak and Crab cake combo. He said it wasn't bad but would have preferred my prime rib instead. I ordered their prim rib special and wasn't disappointed. Service was fast and friendly. We ordered some road food before heading on a long trip south from York PA. They had exactly what we needed: as I recall we ordered buffalo chicken eggrolls and a chicken quesadilla. The eggroll "finger food" was quite unique and very convenient to munch on while traveling down the road at high speeds! Same with the quesadilla! I would recommend the crimson American Grill! We went here with a large group (18) and the service was superb! The server was friendly and got things right! The food: I had a chicken salad, bacon , lettuce and tomato wrap. It was pretty good. It came with one side and I chose the potato of the day which was steak fries. They were good, well seasoned. I'd have liked to have a few more though. This meal earned 3.5 stars from me. DH had fish and chips. He said the fish was not as good as he's had at other local places. He said the fries were soggy. I tasted the fish and it was good but nothing special. He'd give his meal 3 stars. Others in the group said the Alfredo sauce was only ok; the Chesapeake chicken was ok; the side veg of the day( stewed squash) was Jess than ok; the salmon got thumbs up from two diners. Visited Crimson American Grille for dinner on a business trip. We were greeted with enthusiasm by the 2 hostesses & seated quickly. We ordered drinks and the tuna appetizer which came quickly. We had to ask for plates and silverware, but the tuna was tasty. Our server took our dinner orders and we ordered a second round of drinks. Oddly our dinner arrived before our salads. It seemed that communication between the servers and kitchen was off. Our server apologized but we were halfway through our meal before the salads arrived. After dinner we had a third round but felt no pressure to leave. The restaurant was simply decorated and clean. The food was all tasty. read more

The food usually very good, although we have had mixed results with their "Italian" entrees (none of us care for the sauces/ the way they've been seasoned). Best bets are the German themed dishes. Crimson is a pleasure in Americana food. The Ribeye was cooked as specified. The crab dip always a delight and creamy appetizer. The broccoli was the least liked item. Lacking in flavor. Crimson is an old-fashioned restaurant serving quality food for a good price. The salmon is delicious, and feels like a fresh home-cooked meal. Although the rice looks plain, there is just enough seasoning throughout that it compliments the fish well. And one of the servers Syd was the best! read more

First time here and let me start off with this...My stepdaughter is extremely picky when it comes to food so there is only a few items that she will eat. I called the restaurant ahead to find out if they would do something special that's not on the menu to accommodate her. They absolutely said yes so when we arrived at the restaurant, this was our first time ever being here. Our waitress is absolutely fantastic. She was so good with her and talked with her. They made her exactly what she wanted and how she wanted it, again it was not on the menu. Someone with limited things that she will eat, makes it very difficult to go to restaurants and I cannot tell you how much I appreciate this for her!! She loved it and she actually said she wants to go back so from the bottom of my heart for those don't understand how hard it is to have a picky eater. To be honest I wasn't expecting anything special when my party of six came here for dinner. The dining room is large and comfortable but the menu was pretty ordinary. Sad for me, we had failed to return to Crimson since the pandemic. No reason we hadn't returned; just had not. Not every restaurant has survived. Crimson appears to have not only survived but thrived. We arrived at 5:30 on a Friday evening to find the restaurant buzzing. With that came a good bit of noisy conversation. And while it was fine for this group, it would not have been for some others. We were immediately seated and enjoyed a wonderful meal. Our only new disappointment was one of the group wanted to have the ribs and a baked potato. The only potatoes available were French fries and scalloped, neither of which she could have for dietary reasons. This is a very good Restaurant most times of the year. I ordered the Salmon fish special w/ sundried tomatoes and couscous . I received the fish and immediately had a bone in the fish. Also the Quality of the Salmon was Subpar, as I felt Nausea as I arrived home. I frequent the establishment. I have not felt this way before- I almost always order " Fish " for my meal. Took my husband out for his birthday. Ordered fried shrimp and Baby back ribs. The food came. It was lukewarm warm, and we could not see any steam coming from it. When we proceeded to it, we realized that the food was in the process of spoiling and tasted funny. We noticed the waitress who got the manager, who informed us that she would take the food away, but for any other order, if there was an issue or not, we had to pay for it. We ordered calamari and chicken tenders. While waiting, my husband started to feel funny in his throat, and we decided it was best we leave and go get him some Benadryl. He went to the waitress and told her to cancel the order, and that he just wanted to pay for the drink he had. The manager came to our table telling us the order was done and prepared and they would bag it to go, and we had to pay for it. Instead of fussing with her we paid for it and left. Getting home, we noticed there were no utensils, and the sauce that should have come with the calamari was not there. In all, I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone as the manager has very poor customer service; needless to say, we will never be eating there ever again. read more

The carry out service is bad and has been bad for years. The restaurant's order accuracy is consistently bad. Tonight we order two simple carry out meals. They failed to provide the salad that was ordered as part of one entree. A future desert was offered or we could have driven back from home to get the salad. I requested a credit but they could not process a credit since a manager was not available at 815pm. If you order carry you must check each item before leaving if you don't want to get home and be surprised.
