They had a pretty decent happy hour and the food menu looked delicious (hello, filet muffin sliders!) but I was going to be getting dinner later so didn't try anything, although many menu items were enticing The espresso martini ($10 on HH) was super delicious and packed a punch as an espresso martini often does! My family and I went here last night for dinner and it was such a great experience. We were sat right away and the menu had great gluten free options! We ordered the warm goat cheese and almond with balsamic. They even procured some gluten free rolls for me to dip with instead of crostini. I could have eaten that every day! Restaurant has a nautical theme throughout, inside and outside dining an ample bar service and a variety of seafood dishes to satisfy your tastes. Staff members are pleasant. This spot is busy so you may have to wait a little longer for your order. Overall the food is well prepared and good. A really cool restaurant in downtown Milford! Here's the scoop on Stonebridge Restaurant... Parking is available in a lot right next to the restaurant, or on the street (though you may have to walk). The restaurant parking lot has a security guard at the entrance. They have both indoor and outdoor seating, with an upper deck area and also a lower patio, with four different outdoor bars (one on the upper deck and three on the lower patio). If you're going on a Friday/Saturday night, I would recommend making a reservation several days in advance, because the place gets packed! The food and drinks are excellent! I ordered a Strawberry Kiwi Margarita from the bar and it was made with real strawberry/kiwi fruit puree (it was also in a very large glass). For my dinner, I got the Fresh Lobster Roll special with truffle fries, and it was DELICIOUS! The regular menu lists a 4 oz Lobster Roll for $33, but the waitress told me that this lobster meat is frozen. The Fresh Lobster Roll on the other hand (from the Daily Specials menu) has fresh/never-frozen lobster meat that she said was delivered that morning, for $36. I opted to pay the extra $3 for the fresh lobster meat, which I think was the right decision. Large chunks of lobster, not too much butter, and the bun was toasted perfectly. The truffle fries were also amazing. For dessert, I got the Limoncello Cake, which was very good. Even on a busy Saturday night, the service was fast and the staff were all friendly. The atmosphere is nice, with a view of the water if you opt to sit outside. Now, here's the really fun part... On Friday/Saturday nights at around 9PM, the place basically turns into a dance club. A DJ sets up on the patio (under the tent, where one of the bars is located) and they clear out one of the dining rooms inside where another DJ sets up. The place really gets packed, people start dancing, etc. It's a great time! The crowd is mostly early-20's to late-30's. A couple other quick things- I went on a Saturday and they were charging a $10 cover fee for anyone coming in after about 7:30PM who were just going to one of the outdoor bars and not eating dinner (I'm not sure if this is only on weekend nights or not). They also had a ton of security guards (I counted at least 10) stationed at the doors, around the bar areas, etc.) and checking ID's. Make sure you have a VALID driver's license, passport, or military ID, as these are the only forms they will accept (no temporary ID's, paper ID's, or expired ID's). They also had two Milford police officers stationed outside the front of the restaurant. We were picking a friend up from the train station and decided to stop and wait at Stonebridge in Milford. They are known for their New England seafood and classic American fare which I have enjoyed for many years usually outdoors. Since the weather was a bit too chilly for the outdoors, we had a choice to be served in the dining room or the mahogany bar area. We chose the bar area since we were only having a quick bite. The wine was wonderful and the food was OK. We ordered the jumbo shrimp cocktail that came with four medium sized shrimp and spicy cocktail sauce, and the lump crab cake with roasted red pepper aïoli. I always see this place packed at happy hour and now I know why. This is a beautiful property, at a reat location with refreshingly delightful staff. As my friend and I walked inwe were greeted by two exuberently friendly men! What a great begininning to lunch. Our waitstaff greeted us and promplty brought water and inquired about additional beverages. She gave us tie to peruse the specials and regular menu and returned to take our orders. One of my favorite Milford spots, it was great to visit on my last trip to CT after 5 years of having my graduate school graduation lunch and farewell dinner. On my latest visit, I finally got to try the Lobster Bomb with truffle parmesan fries I had been eyeing on social media for weeks. Delicious bread bowl with a generous serving of lobster. We are relatively new to town, and we very much enjoy coming here in the time of Covid. We have not eaten inside yet ( not plan too) but we have come here a few ties and have enjoyed the outside set-up and the view of the pond and fountain. We have found the food to be really good. My wife loves the salad option and am a fan of the onion soup. In the summer I had to try the Lobster Roll, while pricey , it was delicious and plentiful. What we have enjoyed the most is the staff. pleasant, helpful and friendly and efficient. We know the tables we like and we ask for them and they always try to accommodate us. Reservation recommended, it's always busy here. The food is great, can't go wrong. I finally had a go at the summer Lobster Bomb special. It'll set you back 60 bucks but the dish is amazing, definitely something to experience...lobster on top of lobster in a bread bowl with lobster bisque and fries. Service is good and the place is very well kept. Tons of different areas to sit and the outdoor space is great. Live music and other events keep it fun. I had lunch today at the Stonebridge, and it was a solid 10. From the atmosphere to the incredible view, to the friendliness and professionalism of the staff, to the generous wine pours, and then of course to our spot-on lunch. The seafood risotto was incredible and FULL of seafood...scallops, lobster, and shrimp over a giant bed of risotto. Cooked to perfection. I was maybe able to finish 1/3 of it. The house wine was excellent, and the menu was original with enough high end and pub style selections to please everyone's pallet. We started out with the crab cakes. They were phenomenal, on my top ten list and I travel a lot and am in search for the ultimate crab cake. My main dish was the seafood pot pie with scallops, lobster and shrimp. The sauce was delicious surrounding the seafood. My son got the swordfish with Cajun spice and a Gorgonzola sauce with mushrooms served on mashed potatoes. He said it was delicious. My sister got the cod with Cajun spice and pico de gallo with yellow rice. The cod was cooked perfectly and she said it was yummy. This was a great restaurant and I would recommend it . The table next to me had the same thing and said his risotto had lobster in it. The server tried to make some kind of excuse saying it was in there. I'm not blind or incapable of tasting there was no lobster. The paella was good, we've had better for less. The ahi tuna app was good. The bread was the best thing we had. Huge miss for me... I have been wanting to check this place out for a while and finally said let's do it. First impression we came in thru the parking entry way and the place reeked of urine. If you are going to have your bathrooms as soon as you walk in at least keep them clean and odor free. Still decided to give the food a try and I can say the menu looks fantastic but taste wise is a different story. Brussels are fried but over fried where all you taste are the leafs left. After the mounds of discarded paper towels piled up in the chair next to me the waiter left the wet paper towels in the chair for the duration of our stay. Been going for years but tonight's experience was not good. Menu looks the same but the food definitely does not taste as good. Very loud as the tables were filled. Ordered Kahlua on the rocks - got a glass of ice with about a shot of liquor. Asked for a second with lite ice and got a shot in a glass with no ice. Wish I took a photo. When the bill came, the drinks were $13 each! Said something to our waiter who apologized and asked the manager to come talk to us. The manager explained that they are now having the bartenders measure every drink. My husband said I could have bought a bottle of Kahlua for $26, truth. Manager said nothing. Told him, this used to be one of our go to restaurants but after tonight, not sure we will be back. My first trip to Stonebridge was amazing. I came in and sat at the bar to a warm welcome from the bartender as well as the other patrons. Everyone was very happy and very friendly. I ordered the beef stew which was amazingly flavorful. One thing I've noticed is that some restaurant tend not to season their soups but not Stonebridge. That soup was great especially to warm you up on a cold day. I also tried their lobster grilled cheese. It was delectable. It was decade extremely cheesy and absolutely full of lobster. Hands down one of the best lobster grilled cheese sandwiches I've ever had. Shared apps of steamers, bacon scallops (disappeared before I got to them, so they must have been amazing) and fried calamari. All 3 were excellent. We came for the Sunday brunch on a cold and stormy winter day. The restaurant has a private parking lot with an attendant who helps you park. We lucked out and got a space right next to the door. We sat at the bar and the staff was very friendly and attentive. I enjoyed the bottomless mimosa and the downtown salad which included grilled chicken over baby greens with apple slices, cranberries, candied pecans and goat cheese. It was huge so I ate as much as I could until I was full. The brunch menu had a nice selection from breakfast items to appetizers, salads, and sandwiches.
