What an amazing restaurant! We were staying in Milford and decided to grab a quick bite before returning to NY, it was a Sunday morning at around 11:15 and the parking lot was packed! We were still able to get a spot and go in. Once inside we were asked if we had reservations which unfortunately we didn't, but they gave us the option of sitting outside by the bar or the counter right over the lake. We sat by the counters and loved it. The day was beautiful so we were definitely happy we were able to stay outside. Now let's talk about the brunch...WOW it was soooo good! We ordered the eggs Benedict and the French toast platter. The presentation was beautiful, the food was hot, the eggs Benedict were cooked to perfection and the food was very tasty. My husband also ordered the bottomless mimosas which were also good. In regards to cleanliness and Covid procedures, we were very pleased. The staff members were wearing masks and maintained everything clean and sanitized. We went inside to use the restrooms and the restaurant is beautiful! The bathrooms were also nice and clean. A fairly large, smallish sized parking lot, I don't know if there's another area for parking, but I'd hate to imagine how it dealt with when the establishment is at capacity. There is outdoor dining as well and you can enjoy the surroundings or even get fresh air while you eat. The staff were nice throughout the whole meal and were attentive to my questions. I believe they have a full bar here where I stationed myself and enjoyed a meal (lunch). Of course, I got the oyster on the half shelf, which was delicious. I ordered clam chowder as well as one of my go-to seafood handheld items, the lobster roll. No complaints, everything tasted great. It's slightly pricier than your normal eatery, but since it's a little upscale, with great options, it makes sense. Everything was clean, the concept of the entire restaurant is open so it's warm and inviting especially on those warm sunny days. Would I come here again? It's the little details! Stonebridge is a mainstay in the the downtown Milford social scene. Yes, their outdoor patio can be a little "Spring Break-Like", but there restaurant scene is very much geared for adults. Food is always spot on and the service is alway quick and courteous. Seafood is always fresh add delicious and their bar is well stocked with top shelf finds, including some hard to find bourbon. My go to is their seafood salad in the tortilla bowl. We are from Jersey visiting the area so we stopped in here for some dinner. The food and drinks were both delicious! Our waiter was so nice and helpful, I wish we got his name! Aside the food and good service, Ezekiel (the parking lot attendant) alone would have gotten this place 5 stars. He was EXTREMELY friendly, funny, and personable. He helped us park our very large truck which is not an easy task in a tight parking lot like that. He also walked us all the way to the door and gave us a full tour of the restaurant. Second time at Stonebridge and had a great experience both times. This summer I went for brunch for a friend's birthday on a Saturday and stayed for about 5 hours enjoying the live music and great food. The scenery overlooking the bridge and water was awesome. The server was friendly, knowledgeable and just great! We tried various apps like the wings, pork belly and Brussels which were all well done and tasty. Some of us had lunch items and others had breakfast. The blueberry pancakes were incredible, but warning they are massive. One person in our party orders them and a lunch item which was definitely overkill. Last week I went back for another friend's birthday and sat inside by the bar. To our surprise, we had the same waiter we had when we sat outside during the summer and can't say enough good thing about him. Same great experience, even without the great live music and the outside scenery. Overall, great place to meet up with friends over a nice cocktail, tasty meal and great conversation. It was my first time there. We went for outdoor seating at around 1pm. We made a reservation. They had parking which was good so u didn't have to worry about finding something on the street. We both got huckleberry lemonade which was delicious. The waitress was very friendly and let us seat and chitchat. I ordered the buttermilk fried chicken unfortunately it was dry and I didn't like it. Even though ppl have given it great review. My friend got the special of blackened scallops salad which came with a lot of scallops for $28 and looked delicious. She enjoyed it. I will go back and try something else. I went here for dinner and it was so delicious! From everything to the drinks, raw bar and main meals...everything was so fresh and flavorful. The only complaint I would say is for my salmon it was a very small portion for the price. If they had added a vegetable to go with it maybe it would've helped but otherwise it was absolutely delicious and the coconut rice that came with it was so tasty. We were seated out back on the enclosed patio and they had propane tank space heaters that made the area so warm and toasty! Came here on a boiling Sunday afternoon to enjoy some tasty seafood in Milford's center of town and we were sorely disappointed. We were seated right away outside at some covered seating in the back patio and the ambiance was nice, being on the river helped with the temperature. We had a group of 5 and two people got convinced by the waitress to order the Lobster Bomb special, two people got 8oz lobster rolls, and another person got a burger. The portion of lobster meat is plentiful and tasty but the lobster roll itself was inedible. The whole roll was like it was dunked in melted butter; there was no opportunity to pick it up to eat it... and the other person with their roll had a similar soggy-bunned experience. The regular fries were good though. Unfortunately, it only got worse from there. We noticed the two people who got lobster bombs had stopped eating their food and they explained there were hairs found in both meals. Pretty horrific for a really expensive meal. All in all, I was a bit embarrassed that we brought people here and the best meal was a burger. The parking lot needs some work too. I don't think we'll be back for a second chance. read more

We went to Stonebridge for my daughter's Sacred Heart University graduation at 7 Pm for dinner. We had not eaten since breakfast so we were looking forward to a great celebratory meal. My family of 4 was seated immediately. The waitress was excellent and very attentive. The food was excellent when it finally arrived. We waited patiently but after 70 minutes , we asked the waitress if our meals were coming out soon. She apologized profusely and said the kitchen was backed up and brought us some more bread. After 90 minutes, we spoke to the manager again he was apologetic. We finally received our meals after 1.45 minutes later. The place was packed with the private room booked and the downstairs outdoor area for quick bites and drinks was packed with a line of about 50 to get in. The restaurant is obviously killing it financially and does not care if business is lost since this is a popular restaurant with the surrounding colleges. Why take a reservation if the kitchen can not keep up with the demand. As I mentioned we were a table of 4. We ate, paid the bill and noticed the table behind us with 10 people still had not been served. I asked them how long they were waiting and they said over 2 hours! It really put a damper on a very happy day. I contemplated leaving several time but everyone was so hungry and we had a 2 hour trip back home. The right thing to have done was offer us a complimentary drink or dessert or take a percentage off the bill. Nothing. Lovely setting! We sat along the railing overlooking the fountain for lunch on a Friday. Good service and good food. I had New England clam chowder--creamy, mild flavor, very good. Nothing innovative but definitely one I'd get again. The tuna tartar was a winner--delicious eaten alone or with the crispy wonton chips. We specifically asked that they be lightly fried and when our entree was served and it was fried beyond recognition for $36.00 per order. We were extremely disappointed and we also noticed that other diners had over fried items on their plates. He could not find our reservation. Without making eye contact he offered to sit us at the bar. He basically wanted to turn us away. His staff were so helpful with offering ideas as there were tables available without reservations for a couple of hours. He didn't want to be bothered. He gave in when I pleaded that we had family visiting from out of state. He said we needed the be out by 1230 because another party was coming in. We had a fantastic and delicious meal here on a very warm summer afternoon. We opted to sit inside where it was air conditioned. This place has large windows so it feels bright and airy. The decor is clean and modern. The waitstaff is friendly and accommodating. The food was served quickly and piping hot. We started with fried calamari which came with a sweet chili sauce. It was good, a different taste than we usually see. Definitely will try that again! Our meals - Chicken Francaise and Seafood Risotto. Absolutely delicious, not too salty, and generous portion sizes. The seafood risotto had 2 jumbo shrimp, several tender scallops and a few nice chunks of lobster. The chicken dish came with pasta. Came here for brunch on a Sunday. Apparently, this is a popular restaurant, because it was bustling with diners in the bar/dining area. After about a 10min wait, my party of 4 were seated right in the middle of the dining area of the bar, surrounded by other tables, too close for comfort. At one point, one of my friends stopped eating because someone came up behind her that was talking to another guest. They were so close, she said liquid from their mouth landed on her plate. We all ordered different dishes, but the options weren't unique, just over priced. I went with the Traditional Eggs Benedict. I ate it, but didn't finish it. I also ordered a mimosa. I drank it. At the end of the meal, there were issues with the bill, that had to be fixed multiple times by an irritated waiter, & we also found out, Stoneridge charges $10 for a mimosa! The atmosphere is casual & trendy. The place is well lit with natural light & the 1 person restrooms are clean. The service overall, until the bill had to be fixed, was acceptable. Update time! So I have now been here thee times. First time was a five. The last two times were a four which is still a good rating. Here are the positives and negatives. Positives..very good food! Well that's what counts isn't it!? The guy in front helping with parking is a trip and really decent guy. Beautiful inside. And relaxing. They made me the best orange Margarita I had ever had (see former review). Cons: It gets CRAZY there on weekends. Crazy. The last time I went I ordered the same kind of Margarita and it was not all that good. I do not get it unless it varies bar tender to bar tender. I am telling you that first margarita could have rivaled anything I had in Miami. It was a work of art! The second one..sorry..not very good. I got a burger last time and it wasn't all that flavorful. I have enjoyed everything else I have ordered though. I always feel like I need to dress up here. It is a real party spot. This is an iconic seafood restaurant located in downtown scenic Milford CT. Not being able to eat seafood, I had fewer choices than I had hoped. I started with a very salty and peppery French Onion Soup. I think the stock wasn't homemade and was under flavored and over seasoned. I thrn ordered Chicken Scarpiello. The chicken portion was tiny (I'd say about 3.5 oz) served in a buttery sauce with toasted red and peppadew peppers. The sauce was bland and lacked flavor. Salt helped but it was still disappointing. My fellow diners seemed to enjoy their dinners: Wedge salad with slices of chicken which lacked good grill marks. The blackened shrimp was tasty (i was told). We had a brownie hot fudge sundae which was really good. The key lime pie was also bland and I could barely detect the tangy key lime I had expected. Service that went above and beyond. My wife and I stopped by on a busy Friday night with no reservation. We had our heart set on eating a whole lobster, but the managers informed us it wasn't on the menu that day. Instead of brushing us off, Phil, one of the managers, proclaimed that he could go out and bring us back two lobsters and we should have a seat and enjoy some appetizers first. Sure enough, Phil returned 10 minutes later with the good news and that the kitchen was preparing the lobsters for us. They were cooked to perfection and priced very reasonably. An ordinary Friday night with no reservation turned into a very memorable experience for my wife and I, largely due to the willingness of the staff to go above and beyond for us. We knew the food was excellent, but there is clearly a great culture within management which can elevate any visit to Stonebridge, into a very special one. The family and I were pleasantly surprised when we called Stonebridge around 1 PM on Sunday and they had openings for lunch/brunch, so we made it over for a 1:30 reservation. I'm giving our food and experience a 3/5 because nothing was spectacular or worth nothing/returning for. The bartender was our server, and while she was kind, we had to track her down for everything: water refills, drink orders, food order, etc. She only gave us the lunch menu, and I asked her if there was a brunch menu, to which she then gave us that menu ... It's upsetting when you want the tip to reflect the level of service you were given, but also don't want to be characterized as cheap or generalized all together. I didn't find their brunch menu super enticing tbh. My husband ordered the "Caramelized Onion and Bacon Omelet" with home fries and toast. I ordered the "French Toast Platter" which came with bacon and home fries. Everything was good, but once again nothing spectacular or worth driving specifically to Stonebridge for. We ordered the brunch mimosas from the "Mimosa Bar". Those ended up being $9 each. After brunch, we ordered some of the truffle fries. They were good, definitely have had better -- which seems to be the theme of this review. It seems like Stonebridge is centered around North East, American food and next time we will give those options more of a whirl before writing off the entire restaurant. There were several other options on the dinner menu, which definitely piqued my interest. So overall, I'd pass on their Sunday brunch and the bartender as a server, but would try again for dinner. read more

I'd say our main complaint was that they were out of a lot and they neglected to tell us that until after we had looked over the menu and were ready to place our order.
