I've been putting off buying a car for months because I wasn't looking forward to the experience (being held captive for hours). However, I was pleasantly surprise. I test drove the car, agreed to the terms, paid and drove home. No waiting, no wheeling and dealing. Just a quick straight forward exchange. It was a great experience, as far as car buying goes, and I recommend A-1 Auto wholeheartedly. I love my car, I love the deal, I love this place.

While out on the lot looking at the car I had asked the sales person if there was anything wrong with it, he replied no, no problems. I don't know much about engines so I took his word on it. 41 days later while driving the car starts smoking. I brought it to a shop to get a diagnosis turns out it has a head gasket leak and multiple other issues. I sent them an email asking to remedy this problem and they have not gotten back to me. This is totally dealer fraud. So now I have a broken car that I can't drive, still have to continue making payments on it. And now have to find and pay for a lawyer. please save yourself the stress and never purchase from this untrustworthy dealer.

They had incredible deals. Mike went above and beyond to make sure that we got the deal that we needed. There was no haggling or extras that he tried to add on, which I really appreciated. I definitely recommend stopping here. Mike was incredibly honest and so friendly, I would buy my next 20 cars here!

The Dealership said they found nothing wrong with the car and only checked and provided a test for the battery and alternator. Shortly after receiving the car back, 1 month a 2 days later the car breaks down again with other major issues not shifting in gear or accelerating, making it completely unsafe and undriveable. Whats most frustrating is the repeated minimization of very serious issues that occurred immediately same day of purchase and 1 month later. Thank god we purchased the extra warranty on this vehicle as the dealership no longer wants any responsibility, was told its out of their hands and a warranty problem. A vehicle that fails this quickly is not roadworthy, and buyers should be extremely cautious. Strongly recommend independent inspections and everything in writing from this dealership.

Great deals - the car I bought had a brand new transmission (I confirmed the receipt for the transmission matched the VIN of the car - they also gave me the original copy of the transmission receipt with the purchase of the car) and I bought it for just barely above bluebook value. They were very friendly, answered all my questions, provided documentation regarding the car's history, and really made sure I was satisfied before I committed to purchasing the car, and were not pushy at all. Above and beyond most if not all experiences I've had at used car lots in Sacramento.

These guys are obviously just dealers and I don't think they really know what's up with their cars that they sell. A quick wipe down after they purchase them from the auction house and they put them up for sale. I took a liking to a Hyundai Tucson and met up with these guys for a test drive. They gave me plenty of time to test drive the car but the car had this funky jump to it at highway speeds. I went home and thought about it overnight and it was my impatience and tired from looking at more cars that I went back and signed the paperwork for the car. Made the payment and drove it home. Turns out my inclination about the weird thud kept popping up when I drove the car around. So I took it to a shop to have it looked at. Turns out the transmission was shot and it needed to be completely rebuilt. Part of me doesn't know if it's a bad Hyundai or a bad mechanic or a bad dealer which is the reason I took so long to write this post. But I called up my main transmission shop guy, he flat out refused to touch this Hyundai saying their transmissions are notoriously difficult to work with. Another guy told me to spend as much as the car was worth on a newly certified transmission with full 3 year warranty. I couldn't afford that. The last mechanic I took it to said they could rebuild it. After 3 grand and some change they rebuilt the transmission and within 10 months it skipped all over again. I had the shop rework the transmission while they still had their 1 year warranty period. Car still drives terrible, once again I write this to share my experience, across the board. The car was a total disaster, turns out it's also been in an accident and that was repainted to hide it, not the dealership, just previous owner. But the sad thing is this dealer provided the Carfax and no accident was reported. It's just to show you a dealer without any prior knowledge of the car, you must be willing to pay a mechanic to check it out first. I think the dealer guy was nice, but whether they knew they were selling this lemon or not is only something a higher power would know. As with all car purchases, especially used ones in the state, as soon as I buy it it was sold as-is no warranty. I'm very wary of doing business with this kind of company in the future. Maybe avoid 10 year old Hyundais as well when they're completely out of their 10 year warranty too while you're at it. I felt it is fair to give them 3 stars, because they did their part as much in showing me their car line up and letting me test drive it and pulling together some paperwork. But I also don't want to give them 5 stars cause I feel like their product isn't reliable. Once again you heard my story and you can decide for yourself. If the troubles are the dealers negligence, previous owner, Hyundai, or just myself for even considering this car after weird feelings from the test drive. Good luck on finding your next car.
