Wow! The absolute best pizza in Texas that I've had in my 12 years of living here!…read more I moved to Austin from NY and If you like a NY style crust with the finest quality ingredients , than just like me, this is your place! The dough is thin with the perfect amount of chew to the crust . Even though these pies are all 12" personal sized , the pieces still fold like A Slice from NYC. The sauce is delicious , toppings are limited but amazing quality ! We had the pepperoni and sausage and the white pie and both were just incredible. The chef/owner is clearly passionate about what he creates and his Wife handles the front of the house friendly and poised. The Family that owns this place are just super cool. All In all Sylvia Pizza has really Great service , cool LA vibes with great NY Pizza. My only wish is that they made larger pizzas too! I highly recommend this place! Give them a try you won't regret it.

I wanted to choose my own toppings and assumed cheese would be on it so I didn't choose cheese. They sent a text asking me to confirm that I did not want cheese on my pizza. I didn't see the text because I was driving there, but when I arrived they had not made it yet, since I didn't respond. That really impressed me. That was great customer service! It's a small place back in a corner, so I see how I missed it before. While I waited they let me sample a small cone of their homemade ice cream. It was chocolate cinnamon. It was not bad, but not something that I would have put together. The ice cream was creamy and it they had another flavor I would have bought some! I ordered a small pepperoni, with onions and peppers. They don't use green peppers but they had red and yellow. It was delicious. Their pizza doesn't come with a ton of toppings but the sauce and crust are so good, you won't miss it. I will be back for more!

To start off the garlic knots were amazing, didn't even snag a pic lol!…read more The knots had great crust, good level of moisture and just the right amount of oil. Paired with some marinara it was perfect! Pizza 8.9/10! SO good, great crust, perfect balance of cheese and sauce and overall cooked to perfection! Toppings also were evidently fresh and of high quality! 1000% you have to get the hot honey drizzle on your pizza, it was incredible! The only bit of feedback I would give to management is to replace the cactus plant with something that doesn't have little pokies, sadly my wife brushed her arm past it and we ended up going on a 45 minute quest to get all of the little cactus pins out :( The plant was also in a broken ceramic pot- broken ceramic is potentially as sharp or sharper than a razor, and I wouldn't want anyone to hurt themselves badly! All in all, great experience and we will gladly be swinging by whenever we're in San Marc

Here are some thoughts from my first visit to PS tonight…read more.. -This is a vibey, cool, but pretty simple college pizza hangout near Texas State University. -We ordered a create your own 16" pizza with pepperoni and onions. -It had a nice thin crust with a slightly burnt brick oven pizza flavor. Good, but not great. -I enjoyed their Maine Root fountain soda. I got the "Dr. Pepper" flavor and it was sweet, but didn't have a very strong cherry flavor. -The price point was really good. Cost less than $20 for a 16" pizza, $25 out the door with drinks and tip : ) Recommended.

Delivery…read morewas bang on the estimate at time of ordering and driver was wonderful, order the generous side of correct (an extra wing--which they sometimes do when they think your batch is smaller than usual--and an extra packet of salad dressing). Temperature was perfect on both the hot and cold options. The ingredients quality was good, the sauce generous on the wings (I know we all have different definitions of perfect on this, and I tend to prefer dry), all thoroughly cooked but not crunchy. Salad had all seven toppings--carrot, cheese, onion, bell pepper, tomato, mushroom, croutons--present and accounted for. Got three servings out of it as usual. If you're gonna portion it out over time or not eat it right away, just be sure to pull the croutons out before you put it in the fridge so they stay blissfully crunchy. It's worth it to sign up for the coupons, because occasionally they are GREAT. By text once a week and email less often than that which is below my annoyance threshold.

UNDER NEW MANAGEMENT and open for business again…read more Stopped in a bit late and ordered a meatball sub to go before grabbing drinks and a few groceries next door. It was ready in exactly ten minutes as they advised, and it was beautiful. They give you the option of having your sandwich toasted. YES (I dream of being able to do this at Thunderclouds). Even after a cold few minutes' journey my dinner was still hot when I got home. There was more cheese, pushing into decadent, and I added green peppers as usual. A hint of garlic somewhere, bread's about the same, and right out the gate the meatballs are in the neighborhood of the best quality the original Sunny's offered in a decade's fluctuations. The price was still about the same; even with an add-on it was less than $9 cash and satisfying for a hungry adult. Staff were perfectly courteous and the place is spic and span as expected, having witnessed late night cleaners on premises several times over the weeks they took to reopen. I look forward to revisiting the rest of the menu again here, which includes bagels from the truck they recently ran on the other side of the convenience store.

It was New Year's Day, late at night, and almost nothing was open, so we decided on Sunny's. I'd…read moregotten samosas a few days before, and so decided on something different, this time the mushroom cheeseburger (along with a garden salad). The cheeseburger was *sublime.* Not only is the bun grilled, the onions are as well, and they do not skimp on the lettuce and tomato. And of course, the mushrooms complement the flavor perfectly. Yes, the cheese is regular American, but sometimes that's all you want. The salad is likewise extremely generous, not only in the mixture of iceberg and romaine, but also in the tomatoes, olives, bell peppers, and shredded cheese. It is truly immense, and absolutely wonderful with a bit of ranch dressing. It's great to have a local carryout place with extremely tasty options. The family both the restaurant and convenience store is super-friendly and helpful. This place is seriously becoming my go-to not only for more traditional carryout like pizza and burger, but also for the salad. First rate.

We were in town for a conference and decided to try a local pizza spot big mistake. The guy at the counter (Asian/Hispanic appearance) acted stressed and irritated, even though I was the only customer and only ordered two pizzas. While waiting in the tiny lobby, I noticed roaches crawling around. When I pointed it out, he literally said, "Man, you are confusing me." At that point, I had already paid, so I grabbed the order and threw it straight in the trash. The cashier (same guy) was rude from the moment I walked in and acted like I was the problem. I doubt he's the owner or management, but if the business wants to survive, they might want to rethink who they leave in charge. Fortunately, Whataburger was right down the road. I should have taken pictures of all the roaches but didn't expect it and was caught off guard...I will return before I leave to get the photos... Save yourself the headache. In my opinion, this place is not worth your time, your money, or your stomach. You've been warned.
