As this was a take out order, there was a big issue. The app gave options to add for an order. I ordered a spaghetti marina and thought I "added" garlic and oil. But when we received the order, it was just pasta, garlic and oil. Wtf?! Why the heck would anyone order a spaghetti and only want garlic and oil? The option was NOT clear. I thought it was in ADDITION to. So for $20 I got pasta and garlic and oil. No marinara. It's NOT spaghetti! This was a take out order so the experience might not be the same if you eat at the restaurant. UPDATE: The owner, Sami, called me the next day to apologize for the mixup and offered to replacement. Within 30 min I received a still hot spaghetti the way it's supposed to be. Not only that, he added some dessert. As a business person myself, I understand mistakes happen. But when the issue is rectified, it's a testament to the values of the restaurant. The spaghetti was delicious! Not only the food is delicious, but awesome customer service. As a titanium elite, we were bonvoying and I have to say, the continental breakfast that comes with titanium is plenty. And don't forget to have the orange juice, it's heavenly and included. Service was excellent each morning we were there. The servers can't do enough for you. Maia also has a very nice peaceful ambiance and the windows look out at the pool/ocean. If you want more than a continental breakfast with your status, you can pay an additional $15 and get all the hot food as well. And if you don't have status, you can pay for à la carte breakfast too or the buffet how you like. We also enjoyed Tesoro and Quinn restaurants as well. Our room was on the 9th floor and while it was very nice, it could definitely use some updating. But honestly, with all the great amenities, you can hardly think about needing a fresh coat of paint or new bathroom furnishings or more modern lighting. The room was still very nice. And I loved the bracelet they gave us that was our room key too! The bed was very comfy! The weather was super cold while we were there, however we found some time to enjoy the beach and pool. The gym was very nice as well. There is so much to do.. there's even a bowling alley for those rainy days. If you're looking for a great getaway in Florida, JW is a very nice, relaxing resort for all ages, young and old. Because it's JW, you expect top notch service and that is what they deliver. This property has so much to offer. There is a heated pool. The beach is steps from the hotel and the ocean a bit of a walk from the hotel. There are numerous eating options for all price ranges and level of formality. Most are casual but one restaurant I noticed on the bottom level is business casual. There are also retail stores in case you need some clothes or forgot to bring something. What makes this resort stand out is the list of daily activities for kids. There are more than half a dozen activities throughout each day to keep them busy when they are not on the beach or in the pool. There are even activities for teenagers. Our room is spacious and comfortable. We don't have ocean front but we can sit on the balcony and see the pool and beach. The beds are comfortable. The shower is a bit smaller than usual but still usable. Two downsides to the bathroom. There are no hooks to hang clothes or towels. The shower is not a walk in. It is a step up into the bathtub and then step down. There is a hand rail but the step up and down is significant. Could be a safety issue for older people. They offer valet parking at $45 a day or self-park at $38 a day. it's the same lot, both across the street. The Valet is a few feet closer. Both have in and out privileges. In general, the vibe is relaxed luxury. The atmosphere is comfortable and laid back, and that is the way resorts should feel.
