Stopped in for a meal the other night... Started with a Signature Martini. Has a rosemary sprig but it's just for looks and fragrance, the star were the blue cheese & jalapeño stuffed olives. These make the drink!! Ask for a couple... The shrimp cocktail was really good. Plenty of horseradish in the cocktail sauce and the shrimp were not overcooked. Might think of adding a bit of tabasco as the sauce could use some tang... The deviled eggs are pretty good. The sugar comes through on the bacon and sort of overpowers the rest. Needs a little savory in the egg, salt helps but a bit of mustard would be even better... The combination is right but needs a bit more balance... French onion soup, another item on the sweet side missing the savory part. The onions were super cooked meaning no texture. The cheese & crouton were great and browned perfectly. I started eating those bread balls... They are like sweet bread doughnuts that you dip in the honey butter!!! Seriously more sweetness?! But I could not stop eating them!!! At this point I was starting to get full... but continued on... Had the Ribeye w AuGratin. Finally the savory!! The steak has good flavor, not as tender as I would have thought but this isn't a dry aged item. I still liked it. We also had the French Dip... Umm one of the Best!! Now it is made with the prime rib and they mix some onions and horseradish in there which is not a normal French Dip, but it's really good! It is something to go back for IMO. I love the fries here. Thin, crispy, fresh cut...nice. It wasn't busy on a Monday eve and the service was good. I'm not big on salty dishes but a few things could have used a bit for balance. I did not salt the steak because it was perfect to me. We had a couple cocktails 3 apps & 2 entrees. I think the cost was fair. These are Choice steaks not Prime so texture will be different than the upper end steakhouses. But it's a good place that is pricey for some things but doesn't gouge the wallet. read more

Just went there for the first time, and there is a reason "legendary" makes it way into the restaurant's title. The ribeye was so so so good. Lean, juicy, just awesome. The caramels zed onion mash potatoes and twice baked mashed potato casserole were top notch sides, and I'd give the edge to the later. Two ribeyes and a round of nice cocktails was $80, which was a solid deal knowing you're not going here to budget buy. The service was awesome too! read more

I have always been a big fan of Stoney River Steakhouse. I am glad that we have one so close. The steaks are well priced for good quality cut of beef. Coffee crusted filet is my personal favorite but I have also enjoyed the sea bass on more than one occasion and was very impressed. The warm poppyseed muffins are my wife's favorite part of the meal. Great dinner option if you want a mid to upper level meal or a special occasion. read more

This is a very luxurious restaurant is good for business guests, but that this was not a place. I mostly foreign guests takes place. Went in with a friend last night. I have a gluten allergy and thought this would be safe. NOT. Probably the worst steak house if gluten is an issue. Not one single salad dressing without gluten! all of the suggested steak toppings contained gluten. Our sweet little waitress was nice --but extremely scarce. She rarely came by. That was a bit frustrating --but not for long, the manager was on it!! He was excellent And attentive. The food was amazing!!! The filet so good. The loaded baked potato was the most beautiful and delicious I've ever had --awesome presentation . My steak had to be a little corrected (it was cold in the center). The manager fixed it immediately and came back with a brand new potato! He said "you've gotta have a Hot potato with your steak". He was awesome. Not only did we have to wait on the waitress, when we did manage to flag her down To get more drinks, she never removed the old ones--just let them accumulate. I just love this place! Besides the steaks being the best in town (my personal favorite is the coffee-cured filet), this is a more upscale restaurant good for celebrations, dates, and business dinners. While children are certainly welcome, the restaurant is more suitable for adults. The steaks are typically grilled to perfection, moist on the inside and slightly charred on the outside. The rolls are unbelievable and they never serve enough (believe me, they do!)! read more

This was my second time coming to Stoney River. I remember the first time I went for whatever reason I wasn't too pleased with it but that was a few years ago I think they have new owners now? I came here with my best friend to celebrate her job promotion, we made our reservation a day before once we arrived we were seated right away in our booth. The atmosphere there is very pleasant and the service is great our waitress Jessica was awesome and very attentive. We both had a taste for steak (we were definitely at the right place for steak:) so we both ordered the steak trio I got mine with a baked potato fully loaded and my friend got the potatoes Augratin, we also got the brussels sprouts as a side. The food was excellent, the only thing to mention is the price be prepared to pay more but it is absolutely worth it. For dessert we got creme brûlée and it was deliciously sinful. read more

Went here with my wife for a date night. I made a reservation a couple days in advance through OpenTable. We were seated quickly at a quiet corner table. I couldn't help but notice how packed the bar was as we were shown to our table. A server quickly came over to take drink orders. I had the Draper (Old Fashioned) while my wife had a sparkling wine. Our waitress followed shortly behind to discuss the specials and answer any questions we had about the menu. We ordered a caesar salad to split which was great. The croutons are great. She also brought a basket of rolls with a sweet butter (cinnamon and sugar maybe). For the meal, my wife ordered the Bistro Chicken (basically chicken limone with green beans) which was phenomenal. Would definitely recommend it. I ordered the "Famous Steak & Biscuits". They were also good, but I was underwhelmed especially after tasting the chicken. The servings were pretty substantial and the fries with my dish were good. My wife and I both had enough to take home. For dessert, we couldn't pass up the Chocolate Chip Blondie. A blonde brownie with pecans, chocolate in a skillet topped with ice cream. It was way too big. We only finished half of it (shouldn't have even eaten that much). We were here with friends and had a fine time. Unfortunately, the two stars is because when you're a steakhouse and people are willing to drop $50 on a premium steak, you really MUST get the steak cooked right. I mean, you're a steakhouse and this is your core thing. My husband and I both ordered our steak rare, but our steaks both arrived medium at best, more like medium-well. It wasn't just slightly overcooked: the difference between rare and medium-well is huge. The only reason that we didn't send them back immediately was that the other couple had their food and we didn't want to just sit there because it would've been awkward for both parties. Not Impressed..... I was just there with a party of six on a Sunday night. This was my first time there. The venue is nice and the ambiance is nice and the servers were friendly. Unfortunately the food and the service was pretty bad. several of us ordered steaks and none of them were very good. The overall quality of the meats they use is subpar. Cheap cuts and lots of fat. Also the person next to me ordered their steak medium and it was cooked rare. Pretty gross. I tried several different steaks and a few different sides including the augratin potatoes and the macaroni and cheese. The augratin potatoes were very salty and garlicky and or not good. The macaroni and cheese was average at best. The parmesan fries were good. The Cumberland chicken salad was ok. Nothing special. also I should mention that they do not bring you bread when you sit down. I personally think it's cheap when restaurants don't give you bread. I understand they want you to buy appetizers but it's pretty rude to not give them bread when they're paying 30 to $50 a plate. we were all looking at each other and waiting for some bread and nothing showed up. We asked our server to get us some and she said okay and then we never saw her again for like 15 minutes. finally she showed up with some fresh hot bread which was nice but she didn't tell us that she was having it baked fresh for us. So we were all looking around wondering what's going on and very hungry. As I said the service was pretty bad. We only had someone come by our table like every 15 minutes. We have to flag them down every time we needed something. we were going to get dessert but they were so slow that we decided not to because we would be there another 30 minutes just to have some dessert. I would give ZERO stars. Our large family has eaten here a handful of times, & will NEVER return after Sunday's experience. In 2.5 hours, we only had food for 15 minutes...& 2 wrong orders. Reservation for 11. Arrived & hostess said they had 2 other parties, so had to ask the manager if they could accommodate. Despite the reservation, we waited 30 minutes to be seated (Sunday night, 1 party in a room, and many open tables). After 20 minutes requested water & our server. A server came & said we didn't have a "number" on our table so he would go see who was supposed to take care of our table. After a FULL HOUR of being there, the children's waters arrived last! Server finally returned & we told him we would order everything at once, after the experience. 20 min later, 2 tables & 3rd a third large party got sat & were enjoying appetizers and bread; we had no break so asked another server~ who told our server rather than just getting it for us. 1.5 hours, & not seeing our server, I told the hostess to tell him to send the children's' food (shrimp & chicken nuggets take this long?!) ASAP. Another 20 min & we requested the manager...at that moment the server came to say it would be "4 minutes for food". ' Manager Mike Edward came, offered dessert and "We strive for perfection" We had NO perfection. He said they were plating our food. 15 more minutes!! I was standing up ready to leave as the food finally came out with 2 other servers...except the childrens' food was missing. At this point, the kids are showing signs of imminent meltdown & we asked for the check & boxes. We had to ask 3x more. We ask the server about 2 of the salmon orders..."Oh, that's not the lemon sauce that you ordered, that's just all butter melted from the broccoli and fish. I can bring you a side of the sauce since they forgot it.", and to my spouse, he received a meal with the wrong sauce so the server brought a ramekin of the Szechuan sauce...as if he were going to mix the two?! So much for the manger monitoring the "perfection" that they strive for. Mike the manager did NOT return to see how the food was. Scared? Waiting 15 min for the server to return to take our payment. 1 family member had to leave knowing she had a young child and a 45 minute drive home yet, and our 5:30 meal was now at 8 pm. We did inquire why nothing had been adjusted considering the wait and the 2 improper orders. They responded that they supposed they could...but had already charged the person's card who left. They left for quite a while to talk to Mike Edward. Returned & explained that they still charged $30 to one of the cards. Considering we tipped on the overall bill we were extremely generous. We felt disregarded and disrespected in this experience. This was the opposite of the "PERFECTION" Mike Edwards, the manager, claimed they strive for. Having him avoid our table for the rest of the time after his lame apology was another display of weakness which exists in this restaurant. We did not witness teamwork among the 3 hostesses who sat at the front with nothing to do on a slow Sunday, nor servers offering to refill drinks and help tables which weren't theirs. We were stuck with an overwhelmed server who didn't know how to ask for help when in the weeds, colleagues who didn't jump in to help, and a manager who spewed trained-phrases for unhappy customers. read more

Been to the GA locations numerous times and recalled when that local GM told me about the Il Opening several years ago. Was in the area finally and was excited to finally taste what ive beem missing since visiting the GA location. I must tell you was unfortunately let down. The service, presentation and food is lwft to be desired. I truly thought. i was at ponderosa or olive garden... The plates and drinks came messy and lacked presentation. The food, hush puppies asparagus was greasy and salty. No water was provided for the table and my martini was full of crushed ice. I could not understand the standards set for this place. I hope mngt takes heed and up the level. Until then will not be back. read more

Unfortunately, there is not a lot to choose from for places to eat in the Deer Park Mall area... Hello? Any developers reading this out there??? Anyway.... I would say their food was alright - but for a chain I was not expecting their pricing to be in line with Gibsons, Mortons etc... their food was not that good. But BEYOND the food....hence the below average rating.... OMG this was some of the WORST service ever I have ever had!!! Especially considering the restaurant was practically empty - seriously 5 other tables were occupied - when we arrived! This was one of those unseasonably cold days in April, and the restaurant was....trying to save money and not turn the heat on??? I am not sure, it was so cold we could not take our coats off... who wants to eat with your coat on? Well, they have this huge fireplace with table around, so I asked our waitress if we could move by the fireplace... what an attitude problem we received, she made a spectacle of a simple request, we had NOT even ordered our drinks yet - literally I am not kidding, she rolled her eyes and huffed and puffed around. HAHAHA... after we moved, sure enough....NO KIDDING I SWEAR THIS IS THE TRUTH.... the other diners, 3 other people, PICKED up thier own plates and moved to table by the fireplace. They must have been cold too!!!! It was FREEZING...not just cold it was FREEZING!!! Even sitting by the fireplace, I was sniffling the whole meal because I was so cold. Ok back to the story... so the waitress comes back, and the other patrons were like, we moved our table because we were cold too, and she actually like GLARED at us as if we caused some anarchy in the restaurant (could have been cuz i started laughing a little when they said this).... but seriously, WTF?????? Very pricey! You get what you pay for? The dining room was virtually empty the weeknight we were there. We both had $15 burgers. My business associate asked about a side salad instead of fries. Our server politely said "sure! That is an extra $6.50" The burgers were good, the service was friendly and efficient. The dining room is very warm and inviting. They offer free valet service. We wondered if the value received was worth the experience received. I personally will not go back. I'm not cheap but the menu prices did seem out of whack. Stoney River Legendary Steaks was...well, legendary. I went for lunch on a Sunday afternoon with the fam to celebrate my grad school graduation ((that's right, I have credentials now!!)). I was surprised to see they have the same menu for lunch and dinner. Nevertheless, there were ample choices and I was ready to chow down. First let me start by saying, whatever the little poppyseed donut/bread balls with honey butter are - that ish is like crack. I would have been content having a meal of just those alone. The fact that they're complimentary is just dangerous. Since I'm not into red meat and fish I went with the roasted free range half chicken with pancetta, rosemary, shallots, garlic and lemon. It came with a couple sides. I opted for mac n'cheese and spinach. The dish was awesome. The chicken was tender, the mac was creamy, and the spinach was cooked perfectly. I also had a cup of French onion soup. That my friends, is highly recommended. They add a touch of cream to give the broth a slightly creamy, velvety texture. The rest of the fam ordered either burgers or fresh fish. I'm assuming both were good based on the fact that each plate was cleared. Service was great. Attentive, quirky, helpful. Not to mention, opinionated. When I told the server I wanted the chicken, he tried to convince me there were much better menu options. I explained I didn't eat seafood or red meat. He laughed and said good choice. After all, I was eating at a place known for steak and seafood. ((Note - vegetarians beware. There's not much here for you.)) Very poor customer relations. We came today to celebrate my Mom's 80th birthday. She made the reservation over a month ago, specifically requesting the Wine Room. Mom also called to confirm yesterday, and specifically verified we would have the Wine Room. In both instances, she was not informed that the Wine Room might not be available. When we arrived today - a party of 11 - we were told another party (of 15) had the Wine Room and they set us up in the main dining room. Very disappointing. I assume it was purely a business decision because the other party was larger. They should have done right by us and they didn't. read more
