    Great ice cream!
    John G.

Stopped in to watch the game and had a great experience. Impressed by their chicken wings, service and even got a visit from the owner. Lots of TVs, and more than a dozen micro brews on tap. ...and before you leave try the ice cream which is sourced locally from Cockeye creamery, the deep chocolate is fantastic and I'm a connoisseur.

    Dessert! Yum, ice cream!

Tonight was our 1st time at the StoneYard. We were so impressed! It started with the initial phone call to ask if they were pet friendly. The sweet gal that answered the phone said "of course...we LOVE dogs here!" She was so bubbly & inviting. We took off to try this place. Puppies are allowed on the enclosed patio. Our girl loved it! As it turned out, our waitress, Peyton, was the same girl that I talked to on the phone! Yay! She was amazing! The owner, "Dustin" came out & introduced himself, (actually I think it was to see our puppy, lol). They bought her a small dish of ice cream, after they made her a grilled chicken breast, cooked carrots, cucumbers & fresh blueberries! She ate well & healthy! My hubby got one of their fresh, hand pressed burgers. He said it was excellent - very juicy. I opted for the Berry & Nut salad. It was huge & delicious! Every employee that we interacted with was so friendly & kind! WE DEFINITELY WILL BE BACK! THIS MAY BE OUR NEW FAVORITE SPOT!

A great little spot in downtown Niles. On this visit, we were seated quickly and we had a server who I believe said it was his first day on the job. With a little help from the server training him, he did a fine job. Plenty of seating and a nice bar to have seat should you so choose. Full bar with an OK craft beer selection. Now to the food. For appetizers, we had the fried cheese skewers and loaded chips. The three cheese skewers contain four large cubes of deep fried deliciousness. Cheese is melted perfectly and is encrusted with a light and crispy batter. Simple a must have. The loaded chips were topped with bacon and melted cheddar jack cheese with a drizzle of BBQ sauce. A side of sour cream and french onion dip included made for an excellent appetizer. I decided on the Philly Cheesesteak which was delicious. It came piled high with plenty of shaved Angus ribeye topped with grilled peppers, onions and melted provolone on a toasted kaiser roll. Paired with a side of fries, this dish was everything I expected it would be. This is nice little gem and one that my wife and I will continue to enjoy.

Hope this review shows up. Last one got stuck in "not recommend" for some reason... Same as previous review 4 stars. Today we both had sandwiches and home made chips. Sandwiches were very good as usual. The chips were perfect. Every chip evenly cooked and crispy. They are nice sized and thick. If you like kettle chips you will really enjoy these. Service is friendly and overall a enjoyable lunch.

This might be the only game in town, but we went after visiting the McKinley Library and Monument (beautiful building). McKinley birthplace is a stones throw from the StoneYard. It was very nice, offering an inclusive food menu for lunch and a large patio for enjoying the beautiful day and a couple cold IPAs. Our waitress was helpful with our choices and was very excited to tell us about the interesting places in Trumbull County. Our lunches were very good and the details of preparation made them each seem freshly cooked and special. My only regret is not having room for the marscapone lemon cake which looked delicious when it was delivered to our neighboring table.

12/28/16 We had the absolute best dinner here for Rhyans birthday! From start to finish it was delicious! Peg, our waitress was great! She answered questions about menu items and I love the fact she was attentive throughout the meal yet did not hover over us. I also appreciated that she made my daughters birthday special and suggested the wonderful S'mores cake. We would have orders cheesecake but this was waaaaaay come special. My daughter loves S'mores so it was perfect! The Lobster Mac and Cheese was truly the best I have ever had -- and I am super picky about my seafood. It was creamy and full of Lobster -- and no "fishy"ness to it. I highly recommend it.

    Fireplace, tv. Nice.

Super friendly staff! We loved sitting on the patio. The food was great, Cajun sauce in the New Orleans pasta was really good.

They ranged from sweet to boozy. It was a nice variety that offered something for everyone. For dinner I tried the crab crusted salmon. It was a good pairing, but the salmon without the crab left something to be desired. The Chophouse offers a vegan/vegetarian menu, but you do have to ask for it. One of the featured items on that menu was the ratatouille. It was fantastic and I would certainly recommend it. For sides I greatly enjoyed the Caesar salad, which was not too fishy, and the whipped Yukons were a delight. Large parties can be a challenge, but regardless I found the service to be a bit inconsistent. Though always friendly, we had to remind our server of items that we had asked for on more than one occasion. Near the end of the meal it seemed that the bussers were pushing for us to wrap things up and get out, despite not having been there for a terribly long time. We were asked multiple times if certain items could be cleared while we were still eating them. They just didn't seem to have a good feel for this. There certainly were some strong dishes and I wouldn't hesitate to go again, though it would be on a special occasion as they are certainly not cheap.

I never like to give a bad rating to a restaurant but in this case, this was one of the worst meals…read moreI've had. The problem is, the place was packed and is clearly a very popular restaurant here. To start, the service was great! Everyone was super friendly and fairly attentive. Moving on to food. We shared two appetizers, peppers in oil and fried Zucchini flowers. The peppers were ok but had just a low quality olive oil that made them seem greasy. I've had fried zucchini flowers many times growing up in an Italian household but these were the worst I've ever had. They were overstuffed, over battered, and again, greasy! Not sure why they offer this dish when you can't taste the flowers at all as they are overpowered by everything else. Next, I had Chicken Marsala. I've had chicken Marsala all over the world, have cooked it many times, and I absolutely love the dish. This version was unlike any other version I've ever had with the addition of a ton of peppers. The chicken was cooked properly but the sauce was gloppy, didn't taste like Marsala, and seemed like it was cooked by someone who doesn't understand that the best Italian dishes should be simple and not "overhanded". The chicken parmigiana was the best meal out of everything they made but unfortunately the spaghetti it came with had waaaaay too much sauce and the parmigiana cheese (which we had to ask for) seemed like the low quality stuff you can buy in a jar at the supermarket. I guess the overall impression was poor quality Italian food made with average quality ingredients. If you like Olive Garden, then you'll probably be happy here as it felt like this restaurant from the food to the decor is stuck in the early 80s. One other note - the prices were very reasonable but as many Italian places in the US are, they don't understand that the main principle of Italian food is high quality ingredients combined with simplicity.

My husband said it tasted like steak from Ponderosa back in the day and he was absolutely right. We also ordered the lamb lollipops that were dry, had absolutely no flavor. The little bit of juice from the lamb had soaked into the instant mashed potatoes, that are underneath?? it's an appetizer?!? They tasted like paste!!! The most flavorful thing we got was the Ajou sauce which I ordered an extra side of it/paid for the up charge and they were extremely rude about it. It was extremely overpriced and nothing was good! We won't be returning. As a young child, I used to eat there a lot with my family, but I see things have changed tremendously.
