Great food! Nice atmosphere. At first we thought it was just a bar with bar food, but we were so hungry when we came off the interstate looking for a good place to eat we decided to stop. My mom and I were in town for the day, and this restaurant was given to us as a recommendation. Our server was pleasent and accommodating; the place itself was your average sports bar, no frills and sold alcoholic slushies and 6 packs of beer. We ordered the Seafood Flatbread to share and ice teas. The Seafood flatbread had on it crab meat, scallops, and shrimp with a white sauce. The food overall, and following of COVID19 safety precautions lowered my star rating. The Seafood flatbread was tasty, though for a Friday night special the shrimp were a bit overdone. During times of COVID19; sadly this restaurant lacked in enforcing mask wearing and santizing the tables. As for menus, it was odd as I received a paper menu, and my mom a regular one. Understandable every state is different in following COVID19 restaurant guidelines. It would have been nice to have seen more patrons with masks, as well as our server. My mom and I along with a couple of 4 older people wore masks. The service and food receive a recommendation, next time though I'll be more selective on a restaurant outside my hometown following COVID19 guidelines. read more

We stopped in while traveling the turnpike and it was worth driving past the junky fast food options at the exit. The outside wasn't much to grab your attention but once we stepped inside it felt like our regular neighborhood place. The service was warm from the start and we enjoyed our meals. We all had the special "Pickle Chicken" which had great flavor and was a lot for the price. We will stop back on our next trip for sure. read more

Incredible food, my husband and I have been craving a good burger and have been getting Stooges for takeout pretty regularly now! we were offered a high top table. we asked for a table and were told no they were for someone else. website says no reservation! I have artificial knees and it hurts when my foot is not planted on the ground when sitting so things started out bad. club sandwich had so much mayo it kept sliding apart. mushroom and Swiss BURGER was on toast with an awful sauce on it! ice tea was good though. not good enough to go back though. read more

We ate here on Father's Day and we walked in as a family of 5. They told us we had to sit outside in the blazing hot or we would have to sit separately inside since they did not offer a 5 person table, only 4 and 2. We then asked if we could move a chair so we could accommodate our family. They did not allow us to do so, and were very very rude about it. I don't know what was so upsetting about moving 1 chair to another table. It didn't make any sense. I ordered the buffalo chicken sandwich, and I was eating it and I just was shocked at what I found in it. They did not remove the cheese wrapper that was on the sandwich, so I was eating the plastic cheese wrapper the whole time. Such horrible food and service. Stopped here after the Bedford fall fest and was iffy due to the outside appearance. Two ladies running the serving in the seating area, which includes bar and outdoor seating, and they did an amazing job. They didn't let me down with the recommendation of dill cheese curds and our salads were huge and tasty. read more

Was in the area picking up a car from enterprise down the street and thankfully stumbled upon Stooges. Conveniently located off the turnpike in Bedford. We were greeted with a friendly, warm welcome as if we were locals. Paper menus, cans of soda, fridges full of beer, and a recently added deck with outdoor seating that beautifully overlooked a meadow with barn nearby - we could have spend the rest of our day here. We ordered pretzel logs and beer cheese - they went quick. Fresh and hot! Next came our cheesesteaks and fries, claimed to be the best in town and they did not disappoint. The bread was fresh and fries were cut that day! Crispy boardwalk style. Let's just say we couldn't stop talking about their cheesesteaks since we left, so we went back for more on our return trip home. read more

Yes, we will be returning! Nice atmosphere. Clean. I had the cheesesteak. It was delish. Soft bun and quality steak, with lettuce tomato, mayo, peppers and onions served with hand cut fries. It was a large portion. My husband had the steak salad . It was also a large portion. He said the steak was very tender. They were not very busy on a Sunday evening which was great for us. Service was excellent. My only negative thing to say is that you can't get wings every day. Wing night is Tuesday and I believe the third Saturday of the month. I hope they change that. Great place to stop. Lots of variety and reasonable prices. Only one waitress on duty on a Saturday afternoon but she did a great job keeping up with everything. Fast service and very friendly. Only one minor thing is waters were $1.25 and we would have liked a free tap water option but could be a reason why they don't serve free tap water.... This is an awesome place to throw darts. I ordered a steak salad and it was delicious. It was also huge, I couldnt finish it :) they have a good beer selection and do daily food specials. So.. This place has some history to it but since the new owners it definitely isn't the same old place. You'll still find it as a hole in the wall but prices went up and it only gets worse. Many locals stopped going here for a couple of simple reasons. No smoking inside to which I say it's a poop hole BAR. Nobody's going there for a nice dinner. They want bar food at cheap prices. They took the pool table out so they could put in more seating even though they can't get enough people in the door to fill the place. Oh but they play darts there if you're into such a thing. Beer selection is extremely poor and seems to be getting worse. They took a good thing that worked for decades and have all but ruined it. The lady that owns it is nice but you can tell the place is going south quick. Lipstick on a pig with a stoopid name.. Stooges. All of that and no liquor but that's nothing new. read more
