Products are consistently mislabeled, put in the wrong place or old labels left up, so much so that it is a very regular occurrence that we find items we purchased rang up wrong and regularly have to go back to the store for price adjustments or to return things. We purchased two bags of flour marked down to $.79 that had a tag directly in front of them and no other tags/items around (and more bags of flour in the same spot), they weren't on sale at all and were $4-5 and the tag had been taken down when we came back so we had to return them. On our next trip, a coffee creamer was marked as being $2.49 so we bought it to try and it was $5. Turns out it (as well as all of the other identical creamers) were "in the wrong spot" and had been moved around when we came back to have the price adjusted. This honestly happens at least one in three times we are here. The labeling is done so incompetently that you cannot rely on prices being correct even if you are diligent. This has been an ongoing problem for at least the last year or two but possibly longer, that is just how long we've lived here and seen it happen. I've never known any other grocery store to have such a consistent issue properly labeling their stock. read more

Male Cashier working 10:52am with long hair was extremely rude. When it comes time to pay for the groceries, he just shouts out "want to help fight breast cancer?".... A really awkward way to ask for what I assume was a donation. Stunned by his questioning I asked "how do I do that.." he replies back smugly "by donating". Ok no thanks. How about Would you like to donate? Would you like to round up? How about asking questions better that way if you're gonna bother customers that are already paying double what they would pay the normal grocery store. Lose the attitude pal read more

I agree with a lot of the comments here. I will shop here if I run out of something but for the most part I'll drive the 20 min. to shop at Wegmans. Price isn't a big deal- but if you're going to charge the quality needs to be superb- which it is not. Like the other review the people that work here makes this place great. I do feel like Stop and Shop get's away with their prices because it's the closest market in town. Another reviewer said the town is not rich because it has a flea market- I don't know where he resides - but I've lived in Grafton fife several months - in a home on a golf course , that is almost a million dollars - flea market or not - Grafton isn't a cheap place to live for myself and my neighbors. read more

Interesting Stop&Shop in Grafton. Now, wouldn't a normal, logical human being would think that prices on items would be less, hence the fact this store is located in Grafton, an in-the-middle-of-nowhere town that wouldn't be classified as "rich" (no town that has a flea market can be rich....). However, the reality is just the opposite. Everything here is completely OVER priced. Now, since I live far, far away from here and closer to larger, remodeled Stop&Shop locations, WHY would I shop here? Well, I actually asked myself in the store. And came to the conclusion that, simply, I wouldn't. There is NO reason. Yeah, for Grafton residents it works for small food shoppings, but if I did live in the area I would make the 15 minute drive to that NEW Market 32 on 146 in Sutton (I stopped by there last winter and it was AMAZING!) to do a full shopping. Self Checkout is old, and selection is smaller than your typical SUPER Stop&Shop. If this was an ordinary review, I would have given the Grafton Super Stop&Shop only 2 stars. However, the employees at this store are super friendly, kind, and helpful. The lady working at Self Checkout, Roger, and Managers Peter & Alexandra. Everyone was super friendly, kind, and helpful during my experience. 3 stars for this Stop&Shop. They have some work to do, but it's perfect for convenience and has great employees. read more

Nothing noteworthy about this supermarket. I usually prefer to travel a little further and shop elsewhere and this trip certainly rends me why. I'm not sure who should be more horrified, management or me? We bought prepackaged sausage that expired this past December. Not one of my better moves. read more

In my household we refer to ALL locations as Stop & Rob. Prices are high and outrageous. I prefer to do my food shopping at Market Basket. Can't beat their prices and you get way more for your money. The best place to go and worth the 20 minutes and gas to get there. Still come out on top in the end.... read more

Been shopping at Stop & Shop for 25 years. I think that run has come to an end. Shopping today made me realize how much better Market 32 / Price chopper and even Wegmans are. With the exception of Very few employees, these other markets are 10 times friendlier. Stop & Shop was also considerably more expensive. Good luck with all the new markets opening. I will do my best to shop elsewhere from now on. read more

They have made some great improvements recently! I'm happier with the organic produce selection & quality. They've started featuring their Nature's Promise brand more prominently. Usually things I was planning on buying were already on sale. I go here for 90% of my groceries. read more

I have been a resident of grafton for 25 years and been shopping at stop&shop in town . The prices can be more expensive than other food stores That is ok with me .I shop there because the service is very good and the store is clean and selection is very good.It is a shame the way the people who work there are treated by the company they are the reason I shop there.the employees who work there work very hard and don't get paid a lot of money.the company needs to release this treat them with respect and get them back to work we're they belong.I will not shop a any stop&shop until the strike is over. read more

This Stop and Shop is average as supermarkets go. It is a fairly clean store and the staff are helpful. The produce section is ok, but not great. I guess that's what the farmer's market is for on the Town Common during the other 3 seasons. No seafood section here - which is a travesty - why? AP Fish is down the road so that is really the only option for seafood. All in all, the only option in town really, but nothing to write home about. read more

The only good thing about this Stop and Shop is that it is 2 minutes from home. Every other thing about this store sucks. The check out lines are way under- staffed. The cashiers are great, but they just don't have enough of them. The sea food department is a sad joke. Nothing in the bakery goes beyond high school cafeteria quality. Carefully scrutinize any meat before purchasing. They move food items to different locations constantly! Their shopping carts are left floating in the lot and have damaged my car twice! And no, they don't take responsibility. read more

Pretty much the only reason I have been shopping at the Grafton Stop and Shop for the past 11 years is due to the fact that it is relatively close to my house, otherwise I would shop elsewhere. I consistently find expired foods, including meats, for sale on the shelves. Sometimes these expired meats are weeks past the expiration date. I have brought this to the attention of managers multiple times, but nothing seems to improve at this store. This store seems to have difficulty maintaining inventory of popular items, but has no trouble at all having surplus of items that do not seem to sell. To make matters worse, their bottle return machines almost always are full, jammed, or broken. read more
