This is not my first choice for supermarket in all honesty but now that I moved to the area, this is themost convenient. I cant complain about their cleanliness & seem to be well stocked. The downside is that is a bit on the pricey side compared to other stores but they have good deals if you have amembership card. Overall, staff are very helpful if you can find them on the floor. This is honestly the only place that has money orders in the area and only for a $2 fee. I don't prefer grocery shopping here but for money orders, this place is a YES. I do NOT like Pay-o-matic in White Plains, the staff is very rude. If you need to purchase a Money Order, this is your go to place. read more

They have lots of different ethnic food areas and really have a large selection. There is a pharmacy, bank and big customer service area. Prices look to be competitive and way below Whole Foods. We made a pot stop here en route to a Brooklyn, and I must say, this is a well stocked store. The aisles are clean and not cluttered like some CT locations I've been to. They have a much better selection in the meat section! Thick cut oxtail! I was surprised to see that! I only wished we stopped here on our way home instead. I would have bought the whole lot! Unfortunately, I gave 3.5 stars, because the women's restroom was filthy! The floors were sticky, from lord knows what. read more

Stop and Shop has definitely improved over the last year. This is my go to grocery store. The produce is always great and with the makeover of this department is definitely easier to get around and see all of the fruits and vegetables - before their produce department make over the lighting was very dim and the fruits and vegetables rarely looked fresh. I definitely would come back here to shop more. Their seafood, meat, and bakery departments are pretty go too - I can always find fresh food here. I usually go to the self check out line and it's pretty easy to use/never a long wait. read more

Out of all the basic grocery stores out there, Stop & Shop is my favorite. I'll admit that I prefer the expanded natural and organic selections that grocers like Trader Joe's, Stew Leonard's, and Fairway has, but for something quick or for any regular groceries S&S is my go-to. A lot of people may compare this to Shop Rite in City Center since they're the two big supermarkets in White Plains, but I personally prefer Stop and Shop because I feel their selection is better, the store is better laid out, and I kind of find it weird going food shopping in a mall. The store is large and clean, I almost always find what I want when stopping here - there's nothing particularly outstanding about this S&S but for a solid supermarket they deliver the goods. read more

I always frequent this place, is my go to for groceries other than Costco. They have everything I need and much more. Perfect for healthy, vegan, gluten, etc options. They have really good fruit selection as well. Super happy that is so close and I can get all my needs from one place. read more

Had a delivery issue that they made right! Placed an order online 2 weeks out including a deli platter. Morning of delivery I am notified that the platter is out of stock. I call and CS helps get a new platter ordered that I will pick up. I get a call maybe 20 minutes later from manager (rich?) saying the Lu are making my platter, will deliver and discount. This review is for the DUNKIN DONUTS ONLY. As the Dunkin' doesn't have it's own yelp page, I am forced to review here. This place should BE SHUT DOWN. My boyfriend is a vegetarian. He asked for the 2 for $5 special of bacon, egg & cheese on a croissant. He asked for no bacon. They told him they couldn't do that. He has gotten this special from every single Dunkin' Donuts from NY to Baltimore & beyond, but now the poor excuse of a Dunkin' Donuts in stop & shop offered him to buy it separately at $3.99 a SANDWICH. Which comes out to $8 for 2 egg & cheeses, when everyone else is just paying $5. They are non supportive of people's dietary restrictions, which in the end saves them money because they aren't even USING bacon (which is more expensive than cheese or their "eggs") We have been supporters of Dunkin for years, going everyday to get our coffees, breakfast sandwiches & snacks, & now it's hard to support a company that clearly doesn't even hire employees who are competent or understanding. Probably one of my least favorite Stop & Shops in the area. I was in White Plains one day and had to do some light grocery shopping, I figured we'd go to this location to get it out of the way. Never again. I'll return to my go to Stop & Shop in Yonkers from now on. First, most Stop & Shops have the same basic layout, so finding items wasn't difficult. Of course on this day, I was looking for one of those pre-made heroes from the deli, but couldn't find one here - but it's understandable when items get sold out, so no grudges held.....though it was a little early to not have at least a few. The store was littered with customers shopping like animals, so not the store's fault about customers and their ways. The staff wasn't as friendly as other locations I've been in. In fact, we needed one of their help at the self check out lane and this laughable joke "employee" had such a visible attitude to match his deliberate slow moving work ethic. It wasn't our fault, as something we tried to scan wouldn't take. He even stopped midway in helping us at our checkout lane to walk over to the manager terminal to ring something up for a co-worker. Then came back like he wasn't in the mood to do us a "favor". The fact that this kid was hired there and given ANY responsibility is ridiculous. The parking lot is garbage. Not really the store's fault but due to the large number of abandoned carts loose in the lot, you'd think the store would take a certain level of responsibility to have someone out there to corral the carts. It's not quite the garage, but it's under a structure and of course with people not knowing how to navigate their cars these days, it was a large pain to get out of this lot finally. I've seen the other reviews and maybe for locals, it's all they know. Maybe for those out of state, ANYTHING is a blessing, but I'll return to the better locations I'm used to because this one sucks. Yonkers and New Rochelle both have better Stop & Shops beginning with the lots, stock, and of course employees. read more

My go-to for the majority of my needs, meals and toiletries. Layout is very well-kept and produce is fresh. One particular morning, we had to stop and grab a few foot long sandwiches- last minute to take to Jones Beach. Except, orders for custom- made sandwiches, need to be placed a day in advance. But Jimmie the Manager, came to the rescue. I told him what deli cold cuts I wanted, some with mayonnaise- dome without. What type of cheese- and the rest, is history. Jimmie, on short notice, tended to my sandwich needs. In the end, he was able to whip them out quick. Love my Stop & Shop. All the departments are fully. Though I will have to say, at times when I'm buying my Strawberries, person tending to the produce that particular moment will overlook the rotten ones and still place them on the shelf. That was just one instance- thank Goodness. All in all- Stop & Shop is always on top of their game. read more

Service at the deli counter is atrocious. Selection is sub-par. They constantly switch stuff around so there's no consistency from trip to trip. In general, their parking is the only thing keeping them in business. That said, I just left the deli after waiting 10 minutes with no service. I'm going across town to a mall, pay for parking and walk a mile to shop at their competitor. I heard that an upstate NY supermarket chain is coming to this area. I'm from the west coast so I'm pretty stuck on Wholefoods, Trader Joes and Albertsons but Stop&Shop kept me pretty satisfied. Stop & Shop has all sorts of things, so you really can't go too far wrong here. Good thing, because it's the only supermarket in White Plains unless you count Whole Foods. However, it is TOO EXPENSIVE. I wish there was a good alternative around here so that their pricing would have to be more competitive. (Maybe there is, and I just haven't found it yet?) I don't understand why they allow shoppers to scan their merchandise and bag while shopping only to get to the register to be told a cashier has to scan 7 items to verify it. I don't steal and I do not appreciate being treated as if I were a criminal. The produce section had all the scales turned off so I was unable to weigh and print price tickets. The woman at the deli told me there was no homestyle potato salad. When I said that usually someone goes in the back to check, she looked as if she couldn't care less. The store has a few items I can not find elsewhere so occasionally I make the trip. The prices are so much higher than ShopRite it is ridiculous. Whole foods often has lower prices on the items I need. I will be spending my money where I am treated better and the employees are going to help me and the prices are fair. read more

A clean store with friendly staff. The store is huge so you can get basically anything you need. The reason I am giving one star is the parking. What could have been a nice experience quickly turned sour. I was greeted by a boot on my car being parked less then 3 minutes. A blonde girl in a red truck came up to me saying I was parked illegally. I looked around and saw about 3 other cars with boots on them. I tried negotiating with her but she wasn't having it. By the looks of this yelp page many people got a similar treatment from this girl. As vigilant as she was no warning was given out only a fine. On my shopping trip today, I saw at least a half dozen employees with their masks not covering their noses, a couple even had their masks completely off and around their necks. I spoke to a manager about it on my way out, and she said nothing - just stared at me. I won't go back to this store. We all know that Covid-19 is highly transmissable. Probably the most fun I've ever had food shopping. Seriously, even my husband was excited about it. We found the scanners at the front and proceeded to navigate a huge shopping list by scanning every item as we went. Once we were done, all that was left to do was go to the self-checkout aisle, scan my Stop & Shop card, and pay. There are still some specialty items that Stop & Shop (unfortunately) doesn't carry, and I found the fish monger at this particular location to be curt and somewhat rude, but otherwise it was a great shopping experience. read more

A tow truck company waited for me and several others to park in a no parking area and as soon as we entered the Stop and Shop they put a boot on my car. Several people went to complain to the manager who basically said "too bad" nothing I can do about it. The lot is part of the store, was not busy and frankly all an attendant needed to do was ask me and the others to not park there. This is plainly and simply entrapment and just a lousy way to treat customers. I wrote head office who basically said; thanks for telling us and sorry for you.... Noting to be done. I paid the $70 fine which is terrific for Stop and Shop but is the last penny they will ever, ever get from me.....entrapment of valued customers shows no regard for clients. Beware of parking there!!!! I went to meet a friend at Westchester Burger Company and while their parking lot was alittle packed I know that you can park in Stop n Shop with a receipt from Westchester Burger. Great, I go park at Stop and Shop. I walk to Westchester burger and waited for my friend to arrive, which she ended running late and I decided to cancel since it would be running into my schedule for the rest of the day. I walk back to my car no more than 30 minutes later to find a boot on my driver side tire. Seconds later I was approached by a man that said I had gotten the boot because I walked off the premises. I said wasn't I allowed to park there because I actually went to Westchester burger? He actually agreed and said I'd have to speak to the person in charge. The person in charge was a rude young girl with blonde hair, a grayish torn up vest that began walking my way. I explained the situation and she said (jess or Jessica whatever her name was, who also didn't want to give me her last name) I would have to still pay the 70 something dollars because I was not parked on the side where the sign was and I did not have a receipt. I went back to get my receipt from Westchester burger, my car was literally on the other side of the sign. She began avoiding me and walking in all other directions besides mine in order to address me. It was a back and forth thing until she finally decided to ask the guy standing next to me "Is she ready?" I was standing right there the whole time. I gave her the receipt and it still wasn't good enough. I was already upset because 1) My Plans were cancelled 2) it's the day AFTER Christmas and you have nothing better to do than to give people boots for money and to top it off she began giving me sarcastic answers amongst avoiding me the whole time. I have pictures of everything. I paid the fine because I just wanted to get out of there already. I go to sign my name on the phone and she snatches it out of my hand. Nice, great customer service! Get a real job. I called their office and the guy told me to call back tomorrow. I called my credit card company and they told me to get more information for my claim. I call back to get recieved by the rudest person on the phone. He kept giving false answers that I "admitted to" when all I said was so if I was in the spot in front of mine I wouldn't have gotten a boot?" "He says there you go you got caught". No I didn't agree to anything and then he says I don't have time to go back and forth I have to tow a car, call back on Monday and argue with whoever is here. Unbelievable. I will be pursuing this case and it's I believable that they would think its okay to do this on false accounts. read more

Our go-to grocery store. Excellent variety and well stocked. An entire aisle dedicated to ethnic and international foods. Produce, fruits, and vegetables are good quality and fresh. Staff was friendly despite the long lines, i think every register was open but it was just to busy. Definitely one of the dirtiest looking supermarkets in the area. The only reason I would come to this location is the Dunkin' inside otherwise it would be the one north broadway. i usually do my food shopping at shoprite in white plains at the city center mall but sometimes the weekly sales at stop &shop are to good to let pass. after from the downtown area and parking lot is not that big but its free. the inside of s&s is huge with plenty of aisles with well stocked shelves with all the goodies you need for home . the meat, seafood, produce , bread / sweets sections are decent overall and you will most likely find what you need if you dont come too late. i usually buy whats on sale even if i dont need it and the 4 bottles of pellegrino water for 5 bucks is something i do need . i always enjoy going food shopping solo cause i take all my sweet time and visit every aisle filling my cart .come early and grab a few loafs of bread while its still hot and the cakes , pies , donuts , bagels , rolls are fresh and priced right . checkout is fast as almost every cashier section is open or do the self service checkout is you dont have much stuff . overall a good supermarket to do all your food shopping under one roof . read more
