This storage facility has a SEVERE feral cat infestation which was never disclosed. We moved our boat and jet skis to Storage at Summerlin in October 2025 because of the affordable monthly price. After only 6 months in storage, both of our vessels have SEVERE damage due to the cats. Scratches all over, 3 covers & carpet completely ruined from cat urine, and even dead cats on our boat. Over $2,000 in damage. I wouldn't recommend storing anything here. read more

Our move was easy-breezy. Booked a U-Haul truck online with their website, set this as our pickup site, opted for mobile pickup (using their site rather than a live rep, available 24/7 instead of typical business hours), and was in and out pretty easily. Although we did the online option, when we arrived, we couldn't find our truck and were told that they've modified/limited that option during Coronavirus. So we were checked in/out by staff (no extra charges), but that may limit their "24/7" availability. Truck was clean, ran about as well as expected, we booked for the full day even though we only needed it for about 5hrs to avoid extra "late return" charges. NOTE: The parking lot is extremely small here. We're talking like six spaces for rental vehicles, customer parking, and those going in to use the storage units. It's a tight fit. If you're using/needing a large truck, this may not be the best location. read more

I don't come on yelp or anything but as someone has been coming here for years. This was unacceptable. I needed help with my unit, so I headed to the front office. Upon approaching the office I stopped the employee outside. I can't remember her name very well but she was African American and had the nastiest attitude. As I was getting closer to her, it reeked of marijuana. To my surprise, she was smoking. But as I approach her, I ask for assistance on my unit, but I never expected to be responded with the most disrespect from an employee at this location. I have always been treated with such respect from every other employee and I do the same for the employees. I just wanted to bring this in perspective because treating customers like this is just downright rude and especially since I am a repeat customer who has been coming for years because of the amazing service. P.S. I didn't know it was okay to use Marijuana on the job. read more

Employees at Lake Mead location are awesome. The owner has the right to increase the price every 6 months. I am a customer for 5 years, start paying 90 now $160. By no means use this place for ANYTHING. I rented a trailer 7/3 for 3 hours. Returned it by 1pm that same day. Pulled into the back with 2 employees. They unhooked the trailer and pushed it into the parking spot, said you're good to go and that was it! Well my invoice and receipt show charges of $35.04 but my card was charged $70.08! I called to inquire and was told I didn't return the trailer until the 5th?! What seems odd here is you would think if they were missing a trailer scheduled back at 2:30p on the 3rd and it never showed up, they would call you about it? Or send an email? Or at least notify you that you would owe additional money? None of that took place and the gentleman i spoke with here told me too bad, i have no proof I brought it back the 3rd I'm currently in the middle of disputing the charge with my bank for the additional amount. Just sucks i have to waste my time for their incompetence. Or is this place running a scam? Seems a little off and i would avoid this place AT ALL COSTS!! read more

Our storage unit was broken in to and management advised that there was a total of 19 units broken in to on 6/6/23. They advised that they discovered our unit (and others) with no locks on the door and that they secured the unit with their lock and attempted to call us. When they didn't reach us telephonically, they made NO OTHER attempts to notify us of the break-in... no email, no snail mail...nothing. There are no cameras inside of the storage buildings it's obvious that security is lacking. read more

Let me start by saying that I really wanted to like this place. I rented an in town van for around 30 hours & opted to rent an appliance dolly as well. Pick up & return of the van was fine but my issue developed when the receipt was emailed to me 15 mins after I left the location (they don't provide a written receipt on site). My receipt showed a charge for damage or a missing item & I was fraudulently charged $150.00 even though I returned the van exactly as I was given it as well as the appliance dolly. The gentleman checking me in didn't say a thing to me so I assumed everything was just fine. After seeing that charge I was furious and drove back down to the location to speak to Rhiannon whom I rented the truck from personally the day prior. I entered the office where Rhiannon & another female were working behind their desktops. I showed Rhiannon the receipt that u haul emailed me and asked her to explain the $150.00 charge. She couldn't explain the charge and said they didn't charge anything as the van was checked back in exactly as it was given. So who placed this phantom charge then? I was told she needed to call her main dispatch and let them know & to see if they could explain why there was this charge because they were supposedly the ones who placed the charge on my account. I followed up on Sunday morning by calling the 1-800 U Haul number and spoke with a customer service rep named Reila. I explained my situation to her and when I asked her the same question I asked Rhiannon at the location, Reila said that the location was the point of origin for the fraudulent charge. So, turns out the location (Rhiannon) lied directly to my face by saying they didn't place the charge, they didn't know how it happened, etc, etc, etc. This behavior is absolutely atrocious & downright fraudulent. I will never patronize this location ever again. Now I am forced to wait 3-5 days for U Haul to process this charge back to me, in addition to the credit balance due from their original hold they took when I picked up the van. read more

I don't understand why this business would have only 2 stars. I'm guessing that the bad reviews came from angry people that wanted to relieve that anger through Yelp. Because I promise you, if you treat the employees with appreciation and respect, they will reciprocate that ten-fold. My experiences (and I've had many) have all been wonderful. When ever I bring my 6 y/o son with me, he is treated with such enthusiasm and joy. When ever I need anything, they go out of their way for me and always seem to be putting my personal interests above all. Watch out for Carl! He attempted to fraudulently charge me twice. He initiated a promissory note stating I owed $160.00 and sent it to my email account. I went in to discuss the email and the clerk stated Carl has struck again. She corrected the charges and zeroed out my account. The next day, a new email found in spam where he tried again to issue a promissory note in the amount of $190.00. I contacted customer service and they corrected my account. Carl still works there...check your receipts and emails for fraudulent charges. Unhappy mover. read more

This place is run by dishonest people. I was in there waiting, a customer called to pay for a storage fee and Tessa read the guys entire credit card loudly including expiration date and cvv number for everyone to hear . Then they were harassing an old lady that was just there to pick up an online order for boxes. That lady had the email saying her order was there, they were rude to her and told her to leave , she's out the money and she left in tears. Shane on those mean women. read more

I ordered and paid online for boxes and moving supplies. Seemed easy enough, so I went to pick them up, only to be told they didn't have my order and I'd have to go elsewhere to find them. They couldn't even tell me the location. By the way Brandy and Tessie were RUDE thru the entire encounter, they did absolutely nothing to help me find the order, though my order clearly stated that store address. In calling customer service ,a call that lasted well over an hour. They still couldn't tell me where my boxes were, he finally came back and said they processed my refund. There's no refund pending anywhere, so my only recourse is dispute the charge . This location is run by allegedly crack heads , that's the impression they give. So it's not an accusation, but allegedly. The behaviors are the same . oh and a customer called to pay for storage or something else with a credit card, the girl repeated out loud the entire credit card number, exp date and the 3 numbers on back. I had a great experience with these folks. Ron & Vicky (Not sure if I am spelling her name right) were great. I had to go in person a couple different times because the storage space was not for me (I was asking a lot of different questions and it was easier to talk in person) The location is good. It is around a few good fast food places. It's secure and the property is big. It is nothing fancy but does the trick. I got a 40ft space and it was the best price in town. I had a great experience. Vicky had told me the first time I saw her she would keep the spot for me until I had all necessary paperwork and she kept her word. That isn't normally something you find these days. She was always pleasant and the front office staff was nice too. I will recommend to anyone who is looking for a spot near this area. read more

The mileage that was charged to me was incorrect to the amount of $32.00 or 32 additional miles that I DID NOT DRIVE. Carl claims to have searched the log and says the mileage is consistent but also admitted they had issues with over charging mileage in the past. When you are moving and low income $32.00 can be money to feed your family... it's not cool that they took advantage of the fact that I did not take a picture of the before and after mileage. Point blank, they duped me and took monies from me that I did not owe or have to give. If you must use this place take pictures of everything. read more

Been with this storage for years. Finally got fed up with rate increases and moved out. While I was there they never returned phone calls. Left so many messages and not once did they call back. And when I did manage to answer the phone often I was asked if they could call back, which they never did and once I was put on hold until after they closed then was disconnected. Very poor customer service. My biggest issue though is that I was not on autopay. Instead I called each month to authorize a payment on my card. Even when I left messages to run my card they never would and I would have to keep calling back until I got a hold of someone before they would run my card. That is until I moved out. Two days after I moved out they ran my card for rent WITHOUT my authorization to use my card. read more

We rented a auto transport trailer and arrived at this facility to pick it up and they had a car dolly instead. I told Kyra there it was a mistake. She said, "Well, that's what we have reserved." We were moving our elderly mother out of state and needed to rent a U-Haul and purchase boxes for the move. I placed an online order for the boxes and paid for them online as well. When I picked up my order I was helped by Carl, who was great, he even helped me load the boxes into the car. Later, I realized that I didn't need all that I had purchased so I went back to store with my receipt. I was told by the woman working there that I had to return to an actual U-Haul store for my refund. She gave the address of the nearest U-Haul, where we went directly. When we arrived there, we were told by the manager that we could NOT return the boxes purchased at Storage by Summerlin to UHaul, that we would have to go to their main office which is the other Storage at Summerlin! Why wouldn't the first woman tell us that?! SO off we went to the Crestdale location to return my $11 box. When we arrived there, it was like we were in a completely different business. It smelled nice, the workers were both so sweet and kind. And, they were able to return my box :) Also, the clerk named Kyra at the Summerlin Lake Mead location is incredibly rude to deal with, unfortunately I could never recommend this store.
