I used Extra Space Storage several years ago in California and thought I'd give this location a try but was greatly disappointed with the customer service. I paid for a storage unit over the phone and was not provided any refund policy information. I was then emailed a contract to sign but the wrong information was on the contract and they entered the wrong insurance coverage amount on the contract and asked me to sign it on docusign or a similar software. I refused to sign a contract that had the wrong info so I went to the location hoping for better service. Instead there was a guy that refused to provide a refund even though I had not signed a contract and had not been told of any refund policy or purchase policy when I had made payment. Just ridiculous!!! Thank goodness for bank chargebacks. I highly recommend you look elsewhere for your storage needs. read more

Yesterday we spoke to two separate individuals about renting a space for our large item. We told them the dimensions and asked them multiple times if our item would fit. They confirmed with us multiple times that our item would fit. Well last night, what do you know... THE ITEM DOESN'T FIT! I called and spoke to the manager named Morgan. She said it was the call center that we had spoken to yesterday. I informed her we were very upset because now we have to pay the rental truck and rental pallet Jack a additional $700. Let's also not forget to mention our friends who are helping us move this item. I ask Morgan how they can make this right. She says there's nothing she can do except upgrade us to bigger unit that cost a lot more but we need to decide "now" because it's a first come first serve company. So forget about all the BS they just put us through right? I told her if we upgrade to a bigger storage, what else will they be doing for huge inconvenience they caused? She said I would have to talk to the call center. There is nothing else she can do on her end. Fine, I call the call center. They said all they can do is send a email to Morgan's boss Douglas. I call Morgan back, asked her if she can have Douglas call us as soon as possible since, she said we need to decide now right? Well she said she's not sure why the call center is sending us to Douglas because he's not going to be able to much more than she is. What a waste of time! read more

I have never rented a storage unit before but had to downsize temporarily during Covid-19. The process was easy as I made a reservation online beforehand and a cheerful George-Elliot called me on the phone to confirm the details and give me information about the unit. George was amazing in helping me with all of the little details, even came by and swept up my broken glass without hesitation! The unit was a good size, tall ceilings, doors were easy access and it's all first floor. Time will tell but the initial experience couldn't have been better. read more

This review is for Cerin. She is awesome! My boyfriend and I each had units there. We only needed one of them for about 8 days so when we moved everything out, we forgot to give a formal notice towards the end of the lease term. My card was charged for the next month and so we went down to the office the same day to request a refund because we would not be occupying the unit. Without any argument or hesitation, Cerin promptly terminated the payment that was taken from my card and it instantly reimbursed me. I would give 10 stars if I could. They offer the cheapest storage option but that option doesnt actually exist, it is just published to fish for sales leads. When I arrived the office was locked with a note prompting me to text them. So I did but there was no response. Then after a long time someone called me, blaming me that she had to walk all the way to the office. There was a golf cart parked inside, why didnt she use that if she was that far away? How is all this my fault? If they are understaffed, or if they post the incorrect opening hours on their web page, or does not post disclamers that staff might not always be present, she should take that up with Extra Storage, instead of flaming her frustration towards potential customers. She even flipped me off but with pretty words, "I am sorry we are not right for you", not adressing what I actually said. I am sure they get a lot of jerks as customers but I am not one of them so why meet a potential customer with hate before you even talked to them in person? Very flaky company! read more

While my experience is with the Bonanza location, I would not do business with this company. Our travel trailer was stolen over Xmas. While they advertised robust video surveillance through out property, only 2 antiquated cameras which did not produce any video to assist police. Took them 17 days and after much prodding to admit this fact. Trailer was taken over a 5 day period. They actually released video of the 25th to me. It showed another break in Xmas evening. A friend recently called to inquire about RV storage and was told no security issues or break ins. read more

******SAVE YOURSELF MONEY***** This has been by far the worst facility I have ever encountered. Please save yourself time and your money! It seems to good to be true, they give you a low rate for monthly payments. Do not be fooled by this! Every two months the prices go up ten bucks. When i first started my payments were only 50$, towards the end of my stay it was up to 83 bucks a month. Not worth it. Also, when i had called to inform them I was leaving the unit. I took everything with me including the lock. A month later i received an invoice from them saying i needed to pay. I contacted them about this and they told me that a lock was still on there. LIES!!! I have the lock to my unit in my hand! AS THIS GUY IS LYING TO ME! he told me i still had to pay because this is still my responsibility. I told him he obviously gave the unit to someone else because i have the lock on me. I told him i would even show pictures because i have evidence it is from their company because it has their Sticker on it! He told me i could send whatever picture i wanted and that he didnt care? Excuse me? What kind of customer services is this. I then informed him that i will be getting lawyers involved because i am not paying for a unit that is no longer mine and a shady company whom obviously is scamming me! He said to do whatever I wanted because i hung up on him earlier and Yes i did! This place is outrageous. Other people that I know that use this place as well have had horrible experiences. One of my friends had her belongings stolen from this place and they just told her they couldn't help her. DO NOT i repeat DO NOT USE THIS PLACE. Worst company ever! I had the same experience as one other reviewer. My rates go up every 3 months...$10. It must just be their policy, although they won't admit that. They get you in the unit and then they know that it's a hassle to move so you just pay them. I asked them why they kept raising it $10 and they said they had to pay for the street construction on Cheyenne?? Okay. I also purchased a lock from them when I rented the unit. They now say that there is a "personal" lock on my unit. This is a good scam right? You move out, they put a "personal" lock on your unit and charge you for another month. I am reporting them to the Better Business Bureau. My recommendation is to take your business elsewhere. There are a million storage units in Las Vegas. read more

I wish I could select zero stars. This place is a scam. They advertise low internet rates to gain customers and then turn around and raise the rate a couple of months later. They also lied and told me I had to purchase their insurance for an extra $10/month when I have homeowners insurance already. When I pressed the matter, they then said my own insurance would suffice - after I had paid over $50 to them. Keep in mind, the insurance is through Extra Space and they are directly profiting from it. Service has also been horrible with gate codes not working and carts not available.
