Terrible customer service. I came to rent a vehicle and was waiting for another man while he was being served. Ms. Gaby told both the other man and me that everything had to be done online, that she couldn't help us with the rental. When I asked about a 7x10 vehicle, she said that the man who had just left had already taken it and that they were all gone. As I was leaving, I asked the man if he had rented it, and he said no, because he wanted a tour, but they couldn't give him one either. I wonder, then what's Ms. Gaby doing here if she doesn't want to help customers? Previously, the staff was friendlier and they gave you tours to help you find the right vehicle. read more

At first I loved this concept. Call up and they bring your unit into an enclosed bay where you can access your things. No dollies, stairs, elevators, etc. easy access. The problem is that their service has gotten progressively worse over the last year or so, and they constantly have issues with the crane. As some background, I access my stuff maybe once every other month. On at least three separate occasions, I have been unable to get them to answer the phone when I call. The last time I called 18 times in a row at 3:30 in the afternoon. When I arrived at the office, he said, "I know, you've called 18 times, but I was eating my lunch." At 3:30?!? I got a reply stating just call them to discuss the issues. I DID CALL THEM 3X AND LEFT MESSAGES. NO ONE EVER CALLED BACK. It is hard to rate customer service when they are invisible. As my review says I will try another day and I managed to find another friend to help so we drove down there after again leaving 3 messages with no call back. The office looked open but when I pulled on the door and was locked. Finally the guy unlocked the door. Told him I called 3x and he said nothing . He said my unit will be in unit 6. We went down there and he advised the garage do.will not open. I said WHAT?!?!? He proceeded to tell me it is broke. I would have take my stuff out the side door. Now I am pissed. He then left. I noticed a pull chain so I started pulling and sure enough.it was a manual pull to open the door. So my friend spent 5.min pulling the chain to open the door. We were able to access.the unit. We did what we needed to do. We did not close the door to the garage. Unbelievable how down hill this place has gotten. I will be moving out soon. I'm over charged, cannot access the unit during the limited access hours, follow.protocal and still cannot access. I would have given Storage King a 4-5 Stars a few years ago like a couple of other long time customers who posted a review here. They did increase prices significantly and quickly when the name changed from RoboVault. Being a storage place and closed on a Sunday is also not great for this type of establishment's client base. when I read all other reviews I'm glad to see I'm not the only one have same issue malfunction, jack up the rent , when you have issue no one answer the phone I'm on automatic payment plan and this last 4 months they make me pay late fees payment for no reason everytime I check the credit card on file and call my bank to figure out why automatic payment don't get trough they say you have no issue with your card and they don't even try to get pay so I think they probably do that on purpose make me pay late fees and they supposed to notice you first before they going to make you pay late fees if the payment due is not made read more

Liked this place but wow they jacked the fees up major time, was payin $270 a month and they gave me 5 day notice that it's going up to $380 a month and told me they gave me a break because "market rent is $430". Total rip off! So I moved out and found a different exact same size storage for $210 a month Less than half a mile away! Beyond frustrated with storage King USA. I had high hopes and rented this unit last month and I got a notice saying my payment is late but the 2nd month is suppose to be free. When moving my stuff in the truck that is suppose to be available was not because it's too busy and they only had 1 truck available. My payment was due on feb 15 and I have been calling all week, left a VM for the manager and messages with other associates but no one has been able to help me. Update: owner called me and informed me that because I booked on sparefoot.com the specials don't apply. However I used spare foot to find the best deal with specials. Also the specials can only be applied when I open the account so they cant do it anymore. Not to mention before reserving with storage king I called their facility multiple times to verify specials and they told me they let you use the moving truck for free. Completely false advertising, poor customer service on all ends. Better off going somewhere else. I've paid through the next month but will be moving my items elsewhere. UPDATE: emailed support per the reply from the owner below and have not heard back. Clearly they don't keep up with what they say. And I thought they would at least try to make things right. To be fair, they could've explained when I called before booking that I would have to book directly with them to get specials and that it can only be applied when the account is open. This place is legit. Safe, secure and excellent customer service. I keep my car here and come to pick it up once every month. With a simple call to give a time for pick-up or drop-off, Tom the manager is always ready for me. Tom is friendly, communicates well for pick-up/drop-off times and always has a warm welcome for me. I've never had to wait more than a minute for a pick-up, or more then 3 for a drop-off. I would highly recommend this place for anyone who wants to keep their valuables safe with a friendly staff. Great concept in theory but highly unreliable. We live part time in Fort Lauderdale so when we are here our time it is limited. The last three times we have been here the system has been down so we are unable to get our only car out right away. Today it's day two - and it's still down. This is a vault system. If the system crashes (which it appears happens often), you are screwed. Day 1: The unprofessional female attendant informed us they don't have insurance to cover a rental car for us (really?). She was argumentative and unaware of how to manage the situation, her temper, or her demeanor in general. Very poor representation of this business. Day 2: The manager is lovely, but seems helpless to the failed system and possibly the owners whom do not allow him to offer a car rental or any sort of solution. We are business owners and understand things happen. Most often the problem becomes a non-issue if the solution prevails. Definitely not the case here. The problem is exasperated by an inability to provide solutions. We fly out in 36 hours. No car. And we are having to take Lyfts to handle all business matters during our limited time here. Day two is almost over and we since we have not received any updates, we have no clue if we will be able to get our car before we have to fly out. It's the end of the month. We are not coming back for over a couple months. What now?? It's fair to say they have no solution. read more

I never write Yelp reviews. Literally never. I've been with Storage King USA for 3 years. For the first two I enjoyed low rent, excellent customer service, and open 7 days a week. The place was phenomenal. For about the past 6 months this place has fallen apart, and sucks. My rent was increased by 50% due to increased "operating expenses". Yet, they're closed on Sunday, and Thursday. Better yet, I can't get any troglodytes that work there to pick up the phone, and have my unit ready for when I arrive. Not to mention, they gave me a 3 day notice before they increased rent. It's safe to say, once I locate a new facility, I will be closing my unit here. read more

The concept is fantatic and very secure. Very clean and a fair price. The downfall is their hours. They are open from 9-6, and closed on Sundays and holidays. Not convenient for people who work 9-5 so I hope they reconsider extending their hours. If they do, I'd give it 5 stars. read more

Robovault service was excellent. New owner Storage King service is bad. No one answers the phone. Ever. I left a message to replace an expired credit card for my monthly autopay. No one called back. i had to make a special trip to the facility. i could call Robovault ahead and they would assign me a bay and have my unit ready and waiting for me. Very respectful of my time. Not possible now because no one answers the phone. Ever. The Storage King website does not function. I entered all of my information correctly. The site said I was unrecognized and so I could not establish an account. Presumably I could have entered new credit card there. The person at the facility's desk said SK is working on its website. Its been three weeks now and I still am unrecognized. No serious business today has a non-functioning website for weeks. Robovault was worth the premium pricing. SK is not. read more

The place is not convenient for anyone who works . No Sunday hours and shortened Saturday hrs of 9 to 230 ? Weekdays 930 to 6. Yes they use a Crane to bring your unit to the bay, if it's broken then what happens ...nothing , everything comes to a grinding halt . Exceptional place, high end technology with the best prices. Friendly staff, not your typical storage facility is control by a robotic crane, they also have safe deposit boxes and wine storage. The vehicle storage is also automated. Everything is done from the access bays. Lounge and conference room. They provide tours inside the facility, is very impressive watching the crane at work. They have events and parties even a networking group that meets once a month. read more
