2/5 Stars... Nor Surprised:…read more My neighbor had their windows replaced and said that the process went well. Even though the people who showed up and installed the windows on the property arrived in an unmarked beat-up truck and trailer, they had no matching clothes or insignias, and seemed to be very unprofessional by their appearance, they complete the job in a couple days. So I called to make an appointment with them to quote me on replacing a large window. I figured, they might give a discount or a reference to my neighbor since I'm calling. The guy seemed nice on the phone but wouldn't send someone out to the property unless my wife was here at the same time. I work from home, she doesn't. Her schedule is also very erratic, so I could schedule something at any future point and her chances of making that appointment are still very low. I asked how that makes a difference, and he said its policy. I said that her being at the property has nothing to do with quoting a job. I'm the one who does the work on the house and makes the decisions on remodels etc. His reply was: "I can see here on the property information that your name is not on the title of the home, and we would need the homeowner to be there" implying I have no power in the situation. The way my wife and I vest title on our several properties has nothing to do with receiving a window replacement quote. That comment blew me away with disrespect. I even questioned his response and he doubled down. repeating it again. I told him I'm not negotiating to hire them to work on my house. And I'm not making any decisions without a second quote anyway. His Reply: "That's fine, you have a right to feel that way. I'm not sending anyone out." I hung up and immediately went onto Yelp: 2/5 stars........Not Surprised.

If I could give 0 stars I would!…read more I had responded to their Facebook ad that was for $49 maintenance call for the sliding door. When I asked through the chat how much it would be for the door sticking, the response was "maybe I'll come to check it without charge." I had one tech call and ask what the problem was and then was contacted by a second tech who didn't seem to know that the first tech had already called me. The first one came about 45 minutes later and started working. Right away he asked me if I had a stepstool because he couldn't reach the top of the slider. This should be equipment that is always provided by the company, not the homeowner. I didn't have a stepstool and the best I had was my kitchen bar stool. The tech then found that the doors would be too heavy so needed to call out a second person to help him. I don't think he actually worked for their company. The first tech had asked me if I wanted a new door handle for the slider, and at first I had said no, but then thought that there would be a nice quality handle installed along with a new lock and anything else needed. He said it would be $89 with that and what needed to be done with the door. He left for about 45 minutes and then came back with the second person. He brought a very cheap handle for the slider that is chipped in several places and only needed to be attached with two screws. I looked up the handle at the Home stores and it costs is $15. I thought that with the $49 service fee, plus the handle that would make sense to be the $89. As they were working they found that they didn't have a screw that they needed and so they left for another 45 minutes. These techs should have screws and stuff needed with them when they come for the call. When they came back, they took off the doors. At no point did they ever give me an estimate, tell me what they found, what they were doing, or given the option to decide if I wanted the work done. They proceeded to replace the wheels for the track. They moved around furniture on our lanai to put the door down as they are working on things. Nothing was put under the door to protect it. They were also using the stool that he had asked to use, and was using it to hold tools. They got finished working, and at this point had been at the house from start to finish over four hours. Again, he never gave me an estimate or told me what the cost would be, so I was assuming it was the $89 he mentioned previously. He told me that it would be over $300 for the door plus the $89 for the handle. I immediately raised a concern with him that that was never communicated, and frankly, I would not have moved ahead with doing the work at that cost. He said that he could do the handle for $59. Again, this is a cheap handle, that has paint chipped on it already, and only needed two screws. That is a rip off, in and of itself. He said that if I paid him in cash or through Zelle, it would be cheaper. He said he needed to pay the other guy, so the price was justified. He agreed several times that he had made a mistake and had not communicated with me what he was doing and what the price would be. I was still under the impression that this was part of the special that was placed on Facebook and still had the comment from this chat that they would come out and check it free of charge. He ended up taking a little bit off but still having to pay over $300. So to get him out of my house I put it on my credit card. I didn't feel safe at that point. After he left, I found multiple things that concern me, and are not professional . 1. The stool that he used and put tools on now has a bunch of scratches on the top of it that were not there before. If the company knows that height can be a challenge, that should be a piece of equipment that is brought with the tech. 2. The handle that was installed already has paint chipped on it. 3. They moved all the furniture on the lanai and then afterwards did not put it back how it was. This includes chairs, the sofa, a table and two mats. They also left trash outside on my lanai. 4. The sliding door because of being put down on the concrete has scratches and roughness all over it. 5. I have two inside rugs by the slider door, and they now have dark stains all over them. If the techs knew that it would be a mess, they should have moved those out of the way. I now need to buy two new mats. I feel like I was very much taken advantage of. The only amount that he had told me the whole time was that $89. I should not be having to pay hundreds more, and be put on the spot when I didn't approve that cost. I will be following up with my credit card company and a lawyer, as the company refuses to make this right.

I took the old one to show my husband and in a few minutes, he wanted it back to take a picture of it.... well now that he is gone it is nowhere to be found. I called him about it and he said he doesn't remember where he left it. I asked him about prices again on the rollers and he said, don't look at Amazon because in Florida the rollers have to be different than other states. I asked if they were local and he said international??? Also, when he finished , he offered to fix my second door that was sluggish and would go down on the price by 100.00. Do NOT recommend I

    - If you are looking for a GOOD and TRUSTED company to install hurricane windows and doors, LOOK NO…read moreFURTHER, Absolute Window LLC is the one. I have interviewed a handful of them and this company stood out for: - COMPETITIVE PRICING: Cheapest among other companies with the same product and installation. - TRANSPARENCY: Details description of each door or window including pictures, dimensions and PRICE in the quote. - PUNCTUALITY: My windows and doors were installed 6 weeks BEFORE estimated time. A big WOW. These are people who took care of my replacement hurricane windows and doors from A-Z: - CODY with Quote : Arrived on time, transparency, no gimmicks, reasonable price, provided company information such as business license, workmanship liability, product warranties... - GREG and JUSTIN, the installers are awesome, they are professional, polite and friendly. They showed up on time and worked hard. The windows and doors look awesome. Greg even installed a peep hole on my entry door for FREE. They covered all furniture, working area and cleaned up spotlessly every day before they left. These two are assets to the company. - Good communication from Ginger, General Manager, Allen Hilton, sales manager to Joy, Mandy... the office's ladies and gentleman kept me informed through out the project. - They are in charge of paperwork to provide for MSFH to make sure that I get the reimbursement. - RYAN, the "Final Punch Out" and Quality Control person who is in charged of the final stage of the windows and doors replacements inspected and covered all nails holes, removed all stickers and make sure all doors and windows worked properly. -My hurricane windows and doors project went smoothly without a snag and got lot of compliments from my neighbors and friends. - A BIG thank you to everyone who is in charged of my project and I won't hesitate to refer this company to my relatives, friends and to everyone. -Absolute Window is a company that do what they say and say what they will do. Only 3 ever sent estimates. Absolute sent 3 different estimates with 3 different manufacturer options. And every one of those options was VERY competitively priced! They also made it clear we could piecemeal the work (just do doors first, then windows... or just a couple windows at first, etc). They were VERY accomodating and willing to work within any financial issue that may have been cause for concern. In the end we went with all 16 windows, a 3-panel slider, a French door, and a slider being converted to French doors being replaced with hurricane glass/windows. My windows had a bit of a catch that made the contracting a bit more problematic but they rolled with it. The office staff was amazing at every step. "Responsive" doesnt even begin to cover it. When the work finally got started, we had a slider being converted to French door, and a previously installed French door that was done improperly. They knocked out the windows within a week. When they realized the installer had issues with the French doors, they sent another team out to help. They showed up at least 3 times to fix the issues from previous contractors (not from Absolute!) shoddy work and did not leave until the work was done right. They realized THEY made a slight mistake on one French door and didnt cut corners!! They removed and replaced both doors so the job was done right!! I don't recall all their names but definitely Ginger, Joyce, Shawna, Greg, and his partner as well as the other 2 from "Crew #2" that came out for the doors.. all deserve a raise for the stuff they dealt with in regards to my particular doors and windows. Ginger would have to be top of that list. She was ALWAYS communicating. I have dealt with a lot of contractors here in SWFL and can say I have NEVER come across a company that seems to treat every portion of the process, from sales to install, as if the house being worked on was their own. They were amazing and made the whole process way less stressful than it could have been. THANK YOU.

Imold is a very special company. We were on vacation in California when our neighbor reached out to…read moreinform us that our house was flooded with 1/2 inch of water. After booking tickets to come back a day early, filing the insurance claim, and reaching out to a handful of restoration companies, we were contacted immediately by someone at Imold. Within an hour or so of the flood discovery, we had an assessment appointment booked for the next business day. One other company reached out about 1 1/2 weeks later, and the rest never even got back to me. I was most impressed by the immediacy of the response, and only afterwards found out the identity of the agent that got back to me so quickly. It turned out it was the owner and CEO of the company, Adam Metauro. A day after we came back, Steve Richelson from Imold came out and did an assessment. Within an hour after we agreed to the company's services, a whole team came and started remediation right away. The company's prices were very reasonable, given the quick response, professionalism and diligence of the entire team. They understood the urgency of the situation. In addition to quickly, effectively and courteously fulfilling their mission, they went out of their way to dispose of a giant dresser, as well as my bedframe, even though neither were damaged in the flood and therefore went above and beyond the scope of work. The big bonus for me came when they agreed to my request to dispose of my 150-gallon saltwater aquarium tank, which must have weighed 300-400 pounds. They sent a whole team of 4 people to remove it, and because it still had a lot of wet sand in it, promised to bring more people the next day. I removed the sand that weekend and they were able to successfully remove it the next business day. I was overwhelmed with Imold's dedication to help out the customer, even if it was beyond the stated scope of work. Most companies typically either charge you for the extra service or offload the responsibility to another company, which would have incurred additional time and costs. When a CEO and owner gets involved in every day tasks, most often it is because of need rather than values. Imold is not a one or two person business, it is a medium-sized company, so a CEO or owner in a company that size clearly has enough people to fulfill all responsibilities. For him or her to get involved shows a much higher standard of company mission, customer service and values-based motivation. It was clear that Adam was involved with my account and situation from beginning to end. He was copied on nearly all the emails sent from the team, personally authorized a number of special requests, which included the aquarium (saving me hundreds of dollars), the aforementioned other heavy items, and flexibility on payment terms. Finally, Adam himself stepped up to the plate to fulfill yet another one of my requests, which was for expedited access to all the photos of the damage and remediation work, making an exception to the company protocol that all photos would be released upon project completion. Adam understood that I needed the photos earlier rather than later so as to move the insurance claim process along, so he not only authorized it, he ran the report himself and sent it to me the same day. It was an incredible feat, it made my day and I will be raving about it to my family and my personal and professional network for decades. A company that helps and supports you in a time of need is a very special company indeed. It was clear that Imold's ultimate company mission was to make life, for a customer already experiencing a difficult ordeal, better, easier and happier. Imold is clearly my Best Company for 2026 and a leading candidate for Best Company I have ever hired.
