    Casual neighborhood bar!

Friendly neighborhood bar, with some unusual figurines and artwork adorning the walls. They stock a lot of interesting beers! The liquor selection is pretty good, although there is no citrus vodka. House-drinks are limited, but they can mix any standard drink. The only thing preventing it from feeling like a dive-bar is the bright lighting and the cavernous space - like a community center with liquor.

So I came with my husband. He drank the beer and I had the pop. They have coke on tap! Yeah! I didn't think they would have food besides the usual bar food. Ok I didn't look up what they may have. I admit it. Came here because my husband wanted to. Oh did I luck out!!! Such a good burger! It was dead to my liking AND it didn't soak the bun!!! The fries were crisp and seasoned but not over salted. Their cheese board is cheesetastic too! Perfectly ripe fruit and nicely layed out on the board. And they put honey on top of the grainy mustard. SO good! A nice place to hang to eat and drink whatever you like. Oh and don't forget to enjoy Kaws.

Hmmm there is a bottle of Vida Mezcal and a bunch of scary figurines on the shelves. That combination would give me nightmares.

Myfirst time in here and just wanted a cold beer and a place to reflect over the day. I wasn't expecting much. I parked in back and there was plenty of room and well lit. The front porch has a very large seating area with a sprinkling of plants that really help pull you away from the fact you are right next to a busy East Dallas street. The front door is really cool and reminds me of the old wooden doors I've seen in middle age Southern European narrow streets. I stepped in to a warmly lit large brick walled room with stacks of kegs of various shapes and sizes along some of the walls. Lots of high tables and some lower ones in conversation pits along one wall. The partially exposed roof underside gives it an old feel and reminded me of places in Mexico, Italy and Spain. There is art work and various objects on the wall that made me want to study each one, but I'll do that another time. It is a quiet place and exactly what I was hoping to find. The background music is just at the right level. As there were only a few at the bar, I opted to sit there. Facing me was a wall of interesting looking large eyed figurines on shadow box shelves and a substantial offering of stronger drinks. To the side is a large chalk board showing the beers on tap organized by type. I saw the Lakewood Molle Temptress and knew that was the right beer for the moment and my mood. The beer was thick, dark, smooth and absolutely a sipping beer. It gave me time to study the bar, the offerings, the menu and the patrons coming and going. It also gave me time to transition from an insane work day. The wall with the Smith album covers I found interesting but not nearly as much as the figurines facing me. The background music was modern techno-ish and was very enjoyable. The group to my left were 20-somethings enjoying the night out and asking for lots of drink input from the bar tender who acted as a trusty advisor. The bar tender, she seems very confident and knowledgeable, and I look forward to talking with her in the future. The food menu, with a few Mexican items looked very interesting and I'll have to come back to try it.

Such a cool hole in the wall bar! They have a pretty big and open indoor area and a smaller patio area. They also have a decent selection of draft beers. Awesome place to unwind, have a few beers, and kick it with some peeps!!!

I was super impressed with the selection of non-local draft beers here. At least half I haven't seen anywhere else in town. The bartender was able to give a detailed taste profile for all the ones I inquired about, but tasting is believing. Beer prices are par for Henderson area so expect to pay $7+ per. The bar has a mellow vibe with a bunch of odd little dolls/statues adoring the wall. They do have a small patio out front, but there isn't anything interesting to look at besides the Mexican market across the street. The small food menu looked respectable but I didn't try any of it. Pros: Massive selection of non-local craft beers. Cons: Parking lot is tiny so you have to park at the market across the street.

Ha! It is so funny! Why did I even chose this place!! Neighborhood is pretty mundane and gangsta types. There was no one to serve if you are not sitting at the bar. Draft beer was served at room temperature. I wouldn't suggest this place even for a sunny Sunday drink!

After requesting a water to go, we were unexpectedly accused by the bartender, Jake, of placing an alcoholic beverage into a to-go cup. The accusation was embarrassing, unnecessary, and made even more uncomfortable by the fact that it was made publicly and without cause. To be fair, the manager on staff handled our complaint regarding Jake professionally and with care, which we truly appreciated. However, the situation itself left a lasting negative impression. As professionals in the criminal law and medical fields, we value professionalism, discretion, and respectful communication. Being wrongly accused in that manner was disappointing and frankly humiliating. Because of this experience, we will not be returning anytime soon, despite what had otherwise been an enjoyable evening.

How can you argue with that? You can't. Solid. - spicy chicken strips: these were good but nothing special. What was special were the sauces this came with. Aside from that, we felt the chicken was kinda dry. Very crispy though. - bourbon bread pudding: Just Good.

Now, I will note that the parking proved to be a touch challenging, and the grounds were a bit damp from the rain though, I suppose that is simply to be expected. It certainly did not dampen my spirits, because the moment I stepped inside, I was utterly captivated. The decor is absolutely magnificent, adorned with a curated collection of cowboy hats and photographs that beautifully capture the true, authentic spirit of Dallas. It has such character! I initially settled in at the intimate little bar, where the bartender greeted me with wonderful hospitality. To begin, I ordered a Spicy Mezcal Margarita an exceptionally flavorful choice that was executed flawlessly. After a lovely, brief chat with the bartender, the sun began to break through the clouds, warming up the day beautifully. Naturally, I decided to move out to the patio to fully immerse myself in the vibrant afternoon energy. The overall atmosphere, service, and decor are nothing short of extraordinary. For lunch, I treated myself to the Ribs, and they were divine truly delicious and prepared to perfection. Between the exceptional cuisine and the thoroughly satisfying ambiance, this establishment is an absolute triumph. I shall most certainly be returning

We received two different salsas, a green one and a red/brown smoky one, the smoky salsa was really good, and it had almost a smoky, very chipotle flavor. The chips themselves were warm and crispy, they were also pretty good with both of the salsas. I asked for the Avacado shrimp salad, and after about 10-12 minutes all of our food came out, despite the restaurant being busy. In total we ordered my salad, a Cactus empanada of sorts, a couple tacos as well as a couple enchiladas. For about 20 dollars, the proportion of my salad was stellar! I got plenty of shrimp as well as a gracious amount of Avacado to go with it, all sitting on a bed of crispy salad, diced cucumbers and grated cheese (not sure which cheese.) The enchiladas were delicious, I got a bite of it and it was very bright, the mushrooms in it went well with the flavor they were trying to go for, and the sauce on top was delicious. The music wasn't too loud but it was noticeable, the lights all around were nice and dim, and there was occasional floral and red candle decorations around the place giving it a flowery, near authentic Tex-Mex restaurant experience. I highly recommend this place for anyone looking to get really good Tex-Mex food with a very nice service! P.S: I love that they have the addition of mouthwash in their bathrooms, perfect for adjusting your breath on a date. But do not make the same mistake I did of pumping mouthwash onto your hands thinking it's soap, don't be like me
