The originally told me they would get there around 8pm that night .. well an hour after I called they called and said they were on there way . Got to me around 630 !!!! The tech was fast and friendly and figured out the issue he originally told me they wouldn't be able to make it back till Monday cause the part I needed was in a shop that closes on the weekends . A/C went out last Friday during the night. We did not have a go to company so I began my research. Strategic Air had a lot of great reviews so I called first thing on Saturday morning. Wendy promptly answered and said they should be able to get someone by around 1pm. They do have a service charge for weekend and after hours work but it was very reasonable. Trevor called at 12:30 and asked if it was OK to come on out and was at my house in 15 minutes. Very polite and knowledgeable. As we suspected it was a capacitor. I knew what a new capacitor should cost installed and the job was complete in 15 minutes. The cost was right where it should be and the parts and labor are guaranteed for 10 years. Couldnt be more happy and now have my go to A/C company! read more

We've used Strategic Air Services a couple of times. The first time was a straightforward A/C unit replacement, and went off without a hitch. We liked the company even though they weren't the lowest price, and went with them. We were very happy. So when our other unit went out, we didn't bother calling around again, we just went back to Strategic. The second time had a few hiccups, and that's where Strategic Air really showed their stripes - they IMMEDIATELY stepped up and made everything "right". It took more than one visit to do so; and they invariably came when promised, kept us informed of progress in getting parts, etc. and took five star care of us. Anyone can do a great job; it's when there's a problem that a company's ethics shows up, and Strategic Air is the BEST at being professional, correcting when the need exists, and showing that they truly care about the customer. My contact Ryan has said more than once "if you're not 100% satisfied, just call me back and we'll make it right." What more can you ask? Responsiveness, professionalism (from office AND techs), and management that supports their team - just the type of company I'm happy to do business with! I cannot say enough great things about Strategic Air Services, I will never use another HVAC company in ATX. I needed to replace one of my HVAC units so I shopped for quotes from 12 different companies. I ended up choosing Strategic because they were the most responsive to all of my questions and had a very competitive pricing. The final in-person inspection for the installation quote was very straight forward and Ryan who came out did not try to push any additional sales and even called to see if the team could do it same day since my system was going in and out. Then Ricky showed up a few hours later with 2 young apprentice to replace my heat pump and air handler. The young guys were okay and still learning, but Ricky really stayed on top of them to make sure they were doing the job well. Then during the install, something wonky started happening with my second system that hadn't had any issues before. Most HVAC techs I've called in ATX were too new and had to call their bosses for answers, or even "senior" techs often fumbled. But Ricky really knew his stuff of exactly which wires to check and used process of elimination to get my system back up and running. He didn't even charge me for this extra work and then went back to finishing up the install, as well as checking over all of the work his team did. Strategic also offers a military discount and they're one of the few companies that do not charge a credit card fee. I highly recommend these guys and definitely would request Ricky! read more

When our system failed, it was still 99 outside, we weren't sleeping and therefore we were not thinking straight. We immediately signed a very bad contract with our usual AC guy's company, financed with abysmal rates and just all around--a poor decision. But, our friends lent us a portable AC unit, and I snapped to my senses, cancelled the bad deal and took 5 estimates in one day. Enter Ryan, from Strategic, who came over within 20 minutes of a phone call. No nonsense. And he was the best deal BY FAR. If you call them, and you found them on Yelp, you should mention that because they sometimes have [very] special pricing if you find them through reviews, etc. *You do NOT have to shell out 10K as a certainty in the Austin area! It's not a hard and fast rule. Ryan's quote was so good, it made the other companies suggest that his installers would rush, and create an unsafe environment (they DIDN'T). Ricky and Preston were polite, quiet and got right down to it. They were there within 24 hours to install. My impression is that this is a hardworking company who wants your business now and long term, end of story. I am pleased with how this turned out. read more

Called because my HVAC kept freezing (ice). They said a tech (Jake) would be there within the hour, and he was. He said that any attempt at repair could actually break the system irreparably (it's 30 years old and visibly rickety), so he advised against it. I was actually in the process of installing my own mini splits because my HVAC is on its last legs, and he gave me several helpful tips about the installation. He never tried to upsell me for any services, and the service call and diagnostic was only $75. Can't beat it. read more
