I got into a car accident a couple of months ago. I didn't suffer major injuries but my car was totaled and my back and neck took a bit of a beating. It affected my mobility along with daily pain and discomfort. It also affected my confidence. I initially chose Strategic Health Clinic because they were the closest to my home but I couldn't have picked a better practice. Since the first appointment Cindy (office manager and front desk), Dr. Chan and Dr. Adams made me feel like a weight had be lifted. Cindy and Dr. Chan have patiently helped me quite a bit understanding and guiding me through the insurance process and how to make my treatment come together in the best way possible for my health and for my case as well. They have gone above and beyond answering any questions or doubts I've had so far. Dr. Chan has been very professional and incredibly knowledgeable in overseeing my care. Dr. Adams has slowly helped my back and neck get back to normal. Every session the first question he asks me is: how are you feeling today? And, any changes from last session? He remembers all the details of my progress and if I ever mentioned that something bothered me or was hurting he would always pay more specific attention to that area or complaint until it started healing. I'm still in recovery but coming to the end of care in a few weeks. Now, I not only have hope, but certainty, that I'm coming back to a 100% thanks to their care and attention. What a wonderful chiropractic office! I went when I was pregnant and was in extreme pain with pelvis discomfort. Hali Deters was phenomenal and was recommended by another pregnant friend. Dr. Chan is a great chiropractor. I was very unhappy with the response from his billing department, however. While his clinic has a 24 hour cancellation policy, when I called on Monday morning at 6:30AM to explain that an sudden unforeseen circumstance prevented attendance at a 3:30 PM appointment, Strategic Chiropractic still refused to waive the late cancellation fee despite extenuating circumstances and 8 1/2 hours notice. I had never been late or canceled an appointment at any point in the past and the rigid application of their policy did not make me feel valued as a patient. I have been seeing Dr Chan now for 6 months, almost every week. I had never been to a Chiropractor prior and was skeptical at first but had tried everything my PT and a myriad of doctors had prescribed to alleviate my lower back and hip pain for at least a decade with little to no improvement. The resounding advice from all has been, "You are 51 years old stop playing soccer you idiot". While sound and realistic advice...that just wasn't in the cards for me quite yet. I still have a few years of grabbing my hamstrings, laying on the field in the fetal position sucking my thumb and talking about how "I used to be able to play this stupid game" Seriously, Dr. Chan has done a wonderful job with my back and hip. They feel great for the first time in years, and got me back on the field. He also has been incredibly helpful in providing a program to help with the inflammation of my elbow tendon as well. (I have tennis elbow and don't even play tennis! How about that for kick in the gut?) I would HIGHLY recommend he and his staff to anyone as an alternative to whatever they have been doing in the past that has not worked.
