Four years ago, I needed to move my parents from Northridge into an assisted living facility in Valencia. I had heard of STRATTON and SONS and since they were local (at that time) and seemed reasonable, I hired them and was blown away by the service (and wrote a YELP review then). Flash forward another four years and I had the need to move mom into a new unit in memory care. This would be one of the hardest things I've had to do emotionally as I needed to make tough decision about what to take and what to store amidst other difficult decisions. I knew I required movers and up her in Valencia there are many - but - I remembered my past experience with STRATTON and SONS and felt the extra charge for them to come back out would be worth it. Well, Albert and Ramon came out and simply were, in a word, fantastic. What a great team! They represented their company well with efficiency, expediency and wonderful kindness. The kindness was exhibited in many heartfelt exchanges that proved they were sensitive to my mother and our circumstances. They made a difficult time so much less difficult for my family. At the end of the day a moving company 'moves', but from my two experiences with this wonderful company I can say they are stellar. Additionally, their rates are very reasonable! We hired Stratton and Sons to pack/store our 3br house and so far we have had a GREAT experience with them. One of the owners came to our house to assess how much work it would be and give us an estimate. He was friendly and professional. He gave us a comprehensive estimate and scheduled the move for later that month. The eventual day of the pack went smoothly followed by a second smoothe day of loading the truck. Everyone who came into our home was courteous and professional as well. They have been storing our belongings for the past year, so I can't comment on any damages that may or may not have occurred, nor can I comment on how they will be with the move into our new place eventually. read more

I have had Stratton & Sons do six moves since 1989. They are the only company I would use to move my belongings and I do have storage with them, as well. A family business with father & sons being the nicest people you could ever meet. They are extremely professional and they really know what they are doing. Two of the six moves were for an entire office. My father was a custom cabinet maker & designer. I have beautiful Teak and Walnut cabinets and only this company would take the care in wrapping & moving big pieces the way they do. They are so honest and reliable! I would hate to move anywhere outside of LA. because I wouldn't be able to use their services. Their prices are right on and when Paul comes out to give you an estimate of time it will take, etc....He is always right on the mark. I love these guys and you will too! This company was recommended by a friend of a friend. I called for an estimate and Eric came out and gave me an a la carte estimate (if they pack, if I needed boxes, etc.) along with a maximum amount. His professionalism and care made me decide to use this company. I cannot think of enough adjectives to rave about the staff and my moving experience. During this hectic time they were so helpful and made my moving experience so much less stressful than I had anticipated. They had to store most of my items and then move part of my things to a temporary apt. then again move my things from my apt and storage unit to my new home. When my daughter needed some boxes out of storage we simply called and we picked them up the next day. After hearing so many horror stories of moving companies I could not be happier with Stratton and Sons. Would I use them again and recommend them? Absolutely! read more

They moved the whole house without any issues, but this desk had been in the office for 30+ years and the door had been narrowed, but these guys managed to get the desk out in one piece! Avoid this company if you want to save money. I've never seen such slow movers. Even their minimum charge is 2 hrs, it will cost much more than you think. I used this company because the good review. To save money we've prepared well. The company sent two men even Eric said three before. And two smiling guys, Alex and David, worked slowly for us to maximize the cost. Last August I started a new job in the Bay Area and we sold our Woodland Hills house in September. Stratton & Sons packed everything up and put it in storage while Karla and I lived in a little one-bedroom apartment in San Rafael and looked for a home to buy. Eleven months later we are still looking but moved out of the apartment and into a condo big enough to hold all our things from SoCal. Stratton & Sons brought everything up and moved it all in, navigating four floors of stairs and a tiny elevator in the process. It took a day and a half, but they did it! We are very pleased and really appreciated the great customer service, 'can do" attitude and friendly crew. We fed the guys, who both worked like dogs and did a terrific job.
