I HIGHLY recommend Roadway Moving! The experience with Roadway started off great! They were attentive, and the personal care for our move was so nice. We loved our movers and they took amazing care of our belongings! UNTIL... the moving truck hit the gate at my boyfriends apartment building. At first they were great about it. Someone reached out and took all the information, reached out to the management company of the building etc. The management company sent a quote to Roadway for the damage, and we thought everything was in the works, and all would be taken care of. Well, its been over a month since our move, and after MANY emails, texts and phone calls we have not heard a PEEP from Roadway. This is unbelievably unprofessional, frustrating, and SO disappointing after the move itself was such a great experience. I am writing this review to hopefully get the attention of someone at Roadway, and get this taken care of immediately. Understandably the building wants to get this fixed, and supposedly someone from Roadway is suppose to come and asses the damage...but we have never heard from anyone. They are holding my boyfriends security deposit, and now I am afraid that if they get it fixed without roadways physical assessment of the damage, that roadway won't cover the damages at all and we will get stuck paying for it. They moved me from DC to Sacramento costing me $15,000 then charged me $850 per month for storage. After I got all my stuff out of storage they had broken my TV and LOST/STOLE my couch!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! The cost of those items was $3000. They said I didn't have the right "insurance". Why did I need additional insurance to make sure they did the basic job of moving my stuff and not stealing my couch????? They reimbursed me $1500. half of what they owed me. After I paid them more than $20k to move my stuff. BEYOND disappointing. read more

I have used a couple of movers before, and Roadway Moving is by far my favorite. They made my move from LA to Vegas feel so seamless from the very first call all the way to delivery. Ruslan was very upfront when I spoke to him on the phone. He clearly explained everything and reassured me that the price in my contract was final with no surprise charges. I was honestly a little worried because a friend recently had a bad experience with another company. She moved from LA to Texas and was promised delivery in five days, but they later told her she misunderstood and didn't deliver her things until three weeks after pickup, plus added extra charges along the way. The teams that handled my move were exceptional. They loaded everything quickly, shrink wrapped my furniture, and made sure my TV was well protected. The pickup in LA took less than two hours, and they delivered everything to Vegas in four days. Unloading into my storage unit took about 15 minutes. Super fast and efficient. I also really appreciated that there were no surprise charges, and their pricing was reasonable compared to other quotes I got. Arty was also great and stayed in touch before, during, and after delivery to make sure everything went smoothly and to answer any questions. Not reachable during the day of the move and arrived 2 hours after arrival time which caused both the old building as well as new building have an issue with reserving the elevator. Strongly suggest using a different company as I have had very pleasant experiences with other companies prior and should have just re used them again. read more

If there was a way to give them six stars, I would. I'm in the process of moving from Los Angeles to Washington, DC. I found one company with great ratings, but was charging way too much. Then I found Roadway, who gave me a much better price. Note that they do airline-style pricing, with the cost being cheaper the earlier you book. From the beginning through my stuff arriving, their communication was excellent. I always knew where I was in the process and got all my questions answered quickly. Then, when the guys came to load my stuff, they went out of their way: they helped pack some things I hadn't sorted yet. And when I realized that I had forgotten to send my bike (listed on the manifest but I had left it in the garage), I asked if I could drop it off at their storage facility. They said no need, as they had another move nearby the next day and came and picked it up! The estimate for delivery was up to 19 days but they got it there in ten. Everything was great and I even hired them to remove old furniture in the new home. These guys were so good that I almost thought it was a scam. But it was all legit and I couldn't be happier. They are friendly, professional, practical, polite and it's like watching a ballet seeing them at work. They watched out for my cats until I could corral them into the bathroom. I am 61 and have health and mobility issues and had a lot of stuff packed, but they packed the rest and didn't complain to me about the dust or my bad housekeeping. Amazing team! They were very thorough and kept us informed the whole way. Ultimately our estimate was a little off, but we were able to save a bit by moving on a weekday instead, which had a lower hourly rate. We did all the packing ourselves before the team arrived (minus the wrapping and wardrobe boxes) and our 2b/2b apartment took a total of 7 hours to complete (about 20 mins between destinations) for a team of 3. They gave us a window of 9-11am arrival and the team arrived around 10am. Nothing was damaged or broken in transit and they made the whole moving process very smooth. Edited** - My initial conversations with my sales rep were great. Everything seemed extremely legit and professional and I was ready for a stress free move. Moving day comes, our family moving into our first home we purchased, and the already stressful situation of moving with a young baby becomes more stressful. The movers damaged my newborn daughter's dresser, broke our animal food storage container, and took two of our moving mats. I could understand the mishap with the moving mats, but the damage to our items was unacceptable. The head mover (day of mind you) instructed me my only option for damage coverage was 60cents/lb, which was never communicated to me prior to moving day because we were a "short distance" move making our coverage low. Fast forward to my discussions with the claims department where they told me they would definitely take care of this and provide me a solution that would be sure to make me happy. Our initial claim came back much lower than expected, but after speaking with a manager, who was extremely helpful, they offered to fully reimburse me for all of the items and on top of this add an extra $500 for the hassle. While the damage was unfortunate, I understand things happen and the extra lengths the customer service department took to go above and beyond to reimburse me really left me with an overall good feeling from my move. read more

They got to my place 20 minutes ahead of schedule, so I knew it was going to be an easy day, and it was. Superb experience start to finish! Prior to arrival on moving day, I received several emails and then a confirmation call to establish the best time to arrive. Marius introduced himself and let me know when to expect them and confirmed the details of the move. Upon arrival on site he introduced himself to our concierge and confirmed the buildings requirements. Next he came upstairs to take a tour of the apartment & logistics of the move to our landing area. He then went over what he saw as the best plan for our situation. An aspect that really stood out to me was that I demonstrated insecurity about my desk not being ready and Marius sensed that and offered to take care of it. I was working all day prior to their arrival & had a lot of important paperwork including stacks of business cards on my desk. He took the time to reassure me that I needn't worry and that they would take care of everything. He would label the box "top of desk" so I would know exactly where my important items were. This ability to understand and adapt to what was important to the client made me at ease instantly! From that moment forward his team engaged and took over for what was a completely efficient, impressive & careful move! A final point of note is that they adapt quickly to any scenario that occurs. We had several challenges come up along the way including pets, stairs & furniture that could not fit and upon every obstacle Marius came to us to discuss the situation and what the options were.
