I HIGHLY recommend Roadway Moving! The experience with Roadway started off great! They were attentive, and the personal care for our move was so nice. We loved our movers and they took amazing care of our belongings! UNTIL... the moving truck hit the gate at my boyfriends apartment building. At first they were great about it. Someone reached out and took all the information, reached out to the management company of the building etc. The management company sent a quote to Roadway for the damage, and we thought everything was in the works, and all would be taken care of. Well, its been over a month since our move, and after MANY emails, texts and phone calls we have not heard a PEEP from Roadway. This is unbelievably unprofessional, frustrating, and SO disappointing after the move itself was such a great experience. I am writing this review to hopefully get the attention of someone at Roadway, and get this taken care of immediately. Understandably the building wants to get this fixed, and supposedly someone from Roadway is suppose to come and asses the damage...but we have never heard from anyone. They are holding my boyfriends security deposit, and now I am afraid that if they get it fixed without roadways physical assessment of the damage, that roadway won't cover the damages at all and we will get stuck paying for it. They moved me from DC to Sacramento costing me $15,000 then charged me $850 per month for storage. After I got all my stuff out of storage they had broken my TV and LOST/STOLE my couch!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! The cost of those items was $3000. They said I didn't have the right "insurance". Why did I need additional insurance to make sure they did the basic job of moving my stuff and not stealing my couch????? They reimbursed me $1500. half of what they owed me. After I paid them more than $20k to move my stuff. BEYOND disappointing. After my review, they reached out and fully reimbursed me for the replacement cost. I appreciate that they care about the reviews and did right by me and my move. That says something. read more

I have used a couple of movers before, and Roadway Moving is by far my favorite. They made my move from LA to Vegas feel so seamless from the very first call all the way to delivery. Ruslan was very upfront when I spoke to him on the phone. He clearly explained everything and reassured me that the price in my contract was final with no surprise charges. I was honestly a little worried because a friend recently had a bad experience with another company. She moved from LA to Texas and was promised delivery in five days, but they later told her she misunderstood and didn't deliver her things until three weeks after pickup, plus added extra charges along the way. The teams that handled my move were exceptional. They loaded everything quickly, shrink wrapped my furniture, and made sure my TV was well protected. The pickup in LA took less than two hours, and they delivered everything to Vegas in four days. Unloading into my storage unit took about 15 minutes. Super fast and efficient. I also really appreciated that there were no surprise charges, and their pricing was reasonable compared to other quotes I got. Arty was also great and stayed in touch before, during, and after delivery to make sure everything went smoothly and to answer any questions. With so many 5 star reviews, I felt confident going with Roadway Movers for our move from CA to TN. The pick up and communication was great--those are the 2/5 stars. The payments were scheduled as follows: Initial booking: 10% of total Pick up: 45% Drop off: remaining 45% All the bad: We were overcharged $500 at drop off....we notified Roadway Movers right away and they agreed that the pick up and drop off price should've been identical. But they just referred us to their claims department--who stated they need to investigate the claim for 90 days. On top of that...our items were damaged. I won't blame them for the broken bowls that I wrapped and packed myself, but it is 100% their fault for the items that they wrapped and packed. Our TV stand and coffee table were both completely damaged and unusable. We had the workers take them back and throw them away. Our TV remote was packed by them with our TV in a TV box. When they dropped off the TV, they couldn't find the remote and took the TV box...it's not a big deal having to buy a new $10 remote, just inconvenient. Didn't we pay you to securely transport our furniture across the country? Shouldn't we get a refund for the price of what the furniture is worth and a refund for what it cost to ship it from CA to TN? Frustrating that we have to constantly be reaching out to request refund information, and frustrating to have to buy new furniture in a new place. We payed big bucks for what we thought was getting our stuff here safely! Wrong! For our next move, we are just going to rent a U-Haul and drive ourselves. read more

Roadway moved my family out of a three bedroom house in two days. Packed on the first day, loaded trucks, drove two hours, unloaded and rebuilt furniture all before sundown on the second day. Nothing was broken or missing, the movers were very friendly and courteous, a supervisor checked in by phone both days to make sure things were going smooth, and one even showed up for a visual inspection. It was an extremely impressive experience all around. The kicker? They quoted $1,000 less than their leading full-service competitor. In my experience, an operation like Roadway is rare and exceptional these days. If there was a way to give them six stars, I would. I'm in the process of moving from Los Angeles to Washington, DC. I found one company with great ratings, but was charging way too much. Then I found Roadway, who gave me a much better price. Note that they do airline-style pricing, with the cost being cheaper the earlier you book. From the beginning through my stuff arriving, their communication was excellent. I always knew where I was in the process and got all my questions answered quickly. Then, when the guys came to load my stuff, they went out of their way: they helped pack some things I hadn't sorted yet. And when I realized that I had forgotten to send my bike (listed on the manifest but I had left it in the garage), I asked if I could drop it off at their storage facility. They said no need, as they had another move nearby the next day and came and picked it up! The estimate for delivery was up to 19 days but they got it there in ten. Everything was great and I even hired them to remove old furniture in the new home. These guys were so good that I almost thought it was a scam. But it was all legit and I couldn't be happier. Amazing team! They were very thorough and kept us informed the whole way. Ultimately our estimate was a little off, but we were able to save a bit by moving on a weekday instead, which had a lower hourly rate. We did all the packing ourselves before the team arrived (minus the wrapping and wardrobe boxes) and our 2b/2b apartment took a total of 7 hours to complete (about 20 mins between destinations) for a team of 3. They gave us a window of 9-11am arrival and the team arrived around 10am. Nothing was damaged or broken in transit and they made the whole moving process very smooth. As a girly that has moved quite a bit in her life, I can say getting Roadway to help me move was the best thing I could have done. They made the process really easy. They got to my place 20 minutes ahead of schedule, so I knew it was going to be an easy day, and it was. They were so helpful, wrapped my furniture so nothing would damage on the way to the new home and even boxed some glassware that I forgot to do. And yes, they had boxes and wrapping paper on deck. I was also impressed on how quick they were loading and unloading the truck. When we got to our new place, the unloading took one hour and they were done! Edited** - My initial conversations with my sales rep were great. Everything seemed extremely legit and professional and I was ready for a stress free move. Moving day comes, our family moving into our first home we purchased, and the already stressful situation of moving with a young baby becomes more stressful. The movers damaged my newborn daughter's dresser, broke our animal food storage container, and took two of our moving mats. I could understand the mishap with the moving mats, but the damage to our items was unacceptable. The head mover (day of mind you) instructed me my only option for damage coverage was 60cents/lb, which was never communicated to me prior to moving day because we were a "short distance" move making our coverage low. Fast forward to my discussions with the claims department where they told me they would definitely take care of this and provide me a solution that would be sure to make me happy. Our initial claim came back much lower than expected, but after speaking with a manager, who was extremely helpful, they offered to fully reimburse me for all of the items and on top of this add an extra $500 for the hassle. While the damage was unfortunate, I understand things happen and the extra lengths the customer service department took to go above and beyond to reimburse me really left me with an overall good feeling from my move. read more
