To my amazement James and Zach looked it over and found the problem to be a loose bolt.

I had an awful experience with this shop and would not recommend them to anyone. I brought my car…read morein to have the transmission rebuilt. The owner called me and said it was the worst possible scenario and would cost the highest price they charge. I trusted them and paid the full amount, hoping to have a reliable car again. The car drove once and then wouldn't start. When I called to report the issue, they immediately tried to blame me--saying it must have been something I did. It turned out the computer programming (which they outsourced to another company across the street) was done incorrectly. I had to pay out of pocket to tow my car back to them, and the owner refused to reimburse me, arguing with me the entire time. They kept my car for another full week. When I finally picked it up, it started--but the A/C no longer worked, even though it was working perfectly before. When I called, the owner dismissed it and said it was just a "coincidence" that it went out at the same time. Every time I brought up a concern, he backpedaled to avoid responsibility. Later, a mechanic inspected the A/C and said it looked like parts were broken--right around where they would have installed the battery. On top of that, the incorrect programming kept frying my battery, and I had to buy two replacements. When I got my car back the second time, the brackets for the battery weren't even reinstalled--they were just left on the floor of the car. The final straw was when I noticed greasy, oily handprints all over the inside roof and visor above the driver seat. When I called to ask about it, the owner responded sarcastically with: "You're upset about a little dirt inside the car?" He was incredibly rude, did poor-quality work, broke things, and refused to take accountability for any of it. To this day--five months later--my car still isn't fully repaired. It continues to have issues, but I'm too afraid to bring it back to them even though I have a warranty through their shop. That's how little trust I have in them now. I ended up having to take out a second loan and buy a new car because I had already paid everything I had to fix this one--and they left me with an unreliable mess. This place caused more damage than repair and has zero professionalism or integrity. Avoid them at all costs.

Nationwide Transmission - I love how this guy comes out and pushes the car in lazily with a four wheeler not caring about scratches or dents!

I called to get an appointment to have…read morethem take a look at my transmission which seemed to start slipping between 3rd and 4th gears. They set me up with an appointment and when I asked a couple more questions re how quickly they could drop the trans and take a look at it they said, "oh we don't open up transmissions we just replace them ". What?? So what my appointment was apparently intended on their part was to test drive the truck and get a sense of what it is doing and if what it's doing requires actual REPAIR of the trans (you know how their ad says "transmission repair?), your ONLY solution at this business is to get a COMPLETE replacement of your transmission. What they do here is work with the bulk transmission rebuild shops like Jasper, etc who ship them a replacement trans which can be extremely costly, $3k to $4k or more depending on your vehicle - all this place does is remove your current and put a rebuild into it. They admitted they no longer staff ....you know ...TRANSMISSION REPAIR SPECIALISTS, who fix transmissions. Well guess what - there are at least ten or more other auto repair shops all around Flagstaff that do that exact same thing. Don't be fooled thinking you need this place because they have "transmission" in their name or you see "transmission repair" in the ad. They dont. Shop around to every auto shop in town and compare pricing, workmanship, etc. Sadly it seems Flagstaff no longer has a transmission specialist shop that can help repair, build, etc your trans - all you have available are trans replacement shops.

We stopped by Nationwide Transmission first thing on a Saturday morning and even though the owner, Adam, was busy, his team looked at our car. They diagnosed it, fixed it and got us back on the road. Highly recommend Nationwide Transmission, Adam and his team. They were patient, communicative, and very willing to help and even stay after hours to get the job done. Very honest and repairs were cheaper than we were expecting.

Our local Jiffy Lube noticed an issue with our truck and recommended Big Rhonda's in Holbrook. We dropped the truck off there. Ron called me and spent fifteen minutes on the phone explaining to me the issues of the truck, to convince me NOT to bother to fix the truck, but instead look for a new one (though a few of those minutes was about the quantity and quality of the mud under my truck and the various issues that the mud could cause me, and that it did cause him!). My husband and I picked up the truck and then commenced truck-shopping. Right now, there's a run on trucks and any that were available, we did not like. So I called up Big Rhonda's again, and Rhonda answered (I am not sure where she got the 'BIG' nickname, by the way, but she DOES have a charming accent!). I told her we had decided to get the truck fixed anyway, and she got Ron on the line. He AGAIN reiterated that he did NOT want to work on the truck - this is hardly the picture of a guy who is out to drum up unnecessary business! Big Rhonda's got the truck done fairly quickly and I WILL REMEMBER TO BRING THE TRUCK BACK AT 500 MILES, RON! - The truck drives entirely differently now, without a bunch of the little issues that had accumulated over the years. Here's hoping it'll last as long as I have critters and need to haul hay. Best, I have found that rare gem, 'An Honest Mechanic'. Thank you, Ron, Rhonda and Skye!

Everyone was extremely kind to us and made sure we felt safe and in good hands. Honestly if my car ever has problems again I'm running straight back to PV to get it looked at because that's how amazing and good they were LOL. I brought it to another Transmission shop and it was just a connection on the wiring harness. I found this out after bringing it back to PV transmission and they said I now needed a new transmission, which was BS, the new harness fixed the issue. They don't stand by their work, lie about their mistakes and lie about what they told me. The wife is very well versed in lying. These guys are a joke. The owners wife actually denied everything, stood by the new transmission lie and made up "notes" and quotes I never saw. I have the original bill with the work done, none of her "notes" are on the original invoice. Please save your self some money, go some where else. I have already steered a lot of friends and family away from their business. I will keep doing that as a public service.

This place sets an example for all businesses to follow, Truly amazed by the customer service…read more Nadira was very prompt and accurate when providing my quote and communications during the repair process. Service was a in house rebuild on a 2006 F150 transmission. Mike takes care of the rebuilds and his expertise shows. Oh I guess now is a good time to mention that this vehicle has 439,000 plus miles on it. And the transmission had never been touched as far as repairs, just fluid and filter changes when I remembered they were due. They stand behind the work and do understand the customers needs. Had a slight issue after picking the truck up that was promptly addressed even though it was actually not related to the rebuild. My shift cable was so old that it would not retain adjustment. It was 20 years old at least. Mike found the issue and actually walked me out so I could see what was happening. Part was ordered, wrong part was shipped over to there shop twice due to it not matching the vin number. When they found the part number after removal. Nadira actually ran and picked it up to help expedite the repair. Mike took care of the labor to install and I just paid for the cable. They didn't have to do this, this was above and beyond since this was not related to the actual work preformed or quoted. Transmission has about 350 miles on it now and wow its working way better than I could have dreamed of shifts are on point and smoother than I would have ever dreamed off. Way to go, This shop is on my highly recommend list and I will be taking all my business here if the need ever arises. Shop has my vote for business of the year, way to go to the whole crew involved. Thanks Again--

Based on this one experience, will plan to bring our vehicles here when the need arises and will update the review accordingly. Thanks Mike...
