I had looked on line for two weeks trying to find a small live edge slab for an end table project. Looked at Amazon, EBay, Etsy, etc and could not find a piece reasonably priced, and if one was close to my price point shipping costs were crazy. Low and behold I found this place on Yelp and it was well worth the drive. They have a huge inventory of various kinds of slabs. I dealt with John, told him what I was looking for, and he hooked me up with two pieces for less than I was going to pay on line. And, he made a great recommendation for finishing it with Odie's oil.

Massive slabs all along the walls as well as creative wood works of art displayed surely will mesmerize the eyes. Friendly staff member answered my questions and happily offered to pose with a slab I was considering for purchase. Prices vary depending on the type of wood you choose. They only sell the wood but have many referrals for fabrication.

This place is amazing! My husband and I were looking for a custom piece of live edge wood to build a bar top, and we found exactly what we needed here! John Mahoney designed the most incredible and inspiring benches for the front of our home. He captured the natural outdoor beauty of San Antonio Heights using trees native to the region for a stunning addition to the entrance. They have become a focal point for guests from all around! John followed up to ensure satisfaction and offered services later for sealing and care of the products created. I can't say enough good things about this business. We had some tree stumps we needed to be kiln dried. They offered to put them in with their load for a very reasonable price. Everyone we talked to here (Christina, Danny, John (i think)) was so friendly with a great attitude. The job took a little longer than anticipated but Christina was really on top of providing updates. They also had a great selection of slabs. You can tell everyone here is passionate about what they do. We'll definitely be back. read more

I have been shopping online looking for a piece of live edge wood, and what do you know, there's a fabulous place just down the street. I went in looking for a piece of wood to use as a desktop. I had the size I needed and Lou helped me find the perfect piece. Just perfect. Even helped carry out to my car for me. Their shop was spotless and they had a number of items to inspect and that is what sealed the deal for us is that their shop was spotless and very nice things they were working on. They also came and picked up the desk and delivered it back here as well... this was a risk for us because we had reached out to a handful of companies a couple years ago and looked at their work online and was just not happy with their work. If you are in the market for having some furniture refinished, we strongly recommend Heredia Antiques.

I had Heredia Antiques do a refinish and some minor restoration work on an American of Martinsville…read moremid century display case. I am beyond satisfied with the workmanship, the turnaround time, and the friendliness of Zeferino Heredia and his staff. I requested that they try to keep the new finish as close as possible to the original finish, and they were able to reproduce it perfectly. All of the dents, dings, scuffing, and scratches are no longer visible, and the worst damage (a large crack on the inside of the one of the doors) is fixed and no longer visible. This piece is ready to go for another lifetime. It was one week from pickup to dropoff, which I found very surprising considering the quality of the work. After I spent some time to look over the piece in detail once it was dropped off, I noticed just how much care was put into the restoration. The finish is completely smooth and uniform, and even the dirty aluminum hardware was cleaned and polished. The work was so well done that it's not obvious that any restoration work was performed, which is exactly what I (and I expect most customers) want for an antique restoration. It's also worth noting that I called another furniture restoration company before Heredia who quoted about double what Heredia charged, including the delivery (pickup and dropoff) charges. I don't think it's possible that the other company could have done a better job than what was done by Heredia. In the attached photos, there are some before and after pics of some of the most significant wear/damage that was repaired. I am now actively looking for more good deals on worn/beat-up mid century pieces so that I can have more work done by Heredia Antiques. I highly recommend them and will work with them again without hesitation.
