They tried the hard sell on balancing the tires and tried selling me a brand new spare tire and wheel. I just kept saying NO. After my car finally went into a bay, the worker comes in and tells me my lug nuts are "Swollen" and for me to come see. The guy tried to sell me a new set of lug nuts for $130! Then he says he can't even put my lug nuts he took off back on because of "Safety Concerns". I told him to put my car together just like it came in and I would take it somewhere else. Eventually I got my car back. Everything was a hard sell and truth stretching. So then I went to Les Schwab just down the street and told them of my experience. The guys were super nice - no hard sell here. A very polite young man named Jacob checked all the tires and air checked them all. He also checked the lug nuts and did find some that had internal corrosion. He explained that there was a steel living with an aluminum outer shell that can get water or salt inside. A socket might not go on easily. He said he could order a set for us. He was a good guy...no lying about safety and no arm twisting. A respectable guy. Guess where I will be buying my tires from now on!

Yasir helped me lock in the Bilstein 5100 setup I had been wanting, and took the time to actually order in different tire options so I could see them in person. I was originally leaning toward a lesser-known brand due to budget concerns, but Yasir was honest about the quality differences. He clearly explained the pros and cons of each option, which I really appreciated. In the end, I went with my go-to off-road tire: the Falken Wildpeak AT4W. Now my FJ looks mean -- running 285/75/16 Wildpeaks, with a 2.5" lift up front, 1.5" in the rear, and no BMC needed! A few months back, I also picked up a set of Method Wheels from the shop, which was another solid recommendation from Yasir. I absolutely love them. The staff immediately deflected blame, claiming the damage was pre-existing. Here is the issue: If the tire was truly damaged before they touched it, they never should have started working on it because a ripped sidewall is a major safety hazard. But they put on rim and put pressure and told me its ready . They used the damage they caused to pressure me into purchasing two new tires for $175, giving me a $25 "discount" on the initial fee as a cover. They damaged my property, blamed me for it, and forced a sale. Beware of their business practices. This is a massive facility, but they clearly don't have the integrity to own up to their own mistakes. They damaged my property, blamed me, and forced a sale.

They replaced a driver-side CV axle, did oil changes, replaced brake pads and rotors, diagnosed and fixed an A/C and heater blower issue, repaired a trunk/liftgate problem, and also replaced a valve cover and gasket and battery. What stood out to me most was how knowledgeable, honest, and fair Samson and his team were throughout the process. The staff are friendly, the front desk is welcoming, and the customer service has been great. My AC Drier was cracked and inoperable since last year. In this region of the Sacramento Valley and Placer County, 916 Auto quote beat 5 shops I contacted in the region and 1 shop even told me it's not worth it and I should get a new car. Bet if my car was a 69 Camaro, they'd do it. Why? Cause its a Classic Camaro. No matter the condition. Some shops don't want to work on Imports. But oh well. Their loss, not mine. I contacted 916 Auto and spoke to Samson to schedule an appointment and he said to come by that very same day. And so I drove from Roseville to Gold River that morning. Samson is honest & to the point. When he pulled my car in, he noticed a coolant leak. Now I didn't notice any leaks in my driveway, as it would seem the Coolant is evaporating or dissipating, but he notice it was getting on my Alternator, by the stains. It turns out, my OEM water pump (factory part since 2003 for this model year in 2004) finally gave out at 262K miles. Who'd ever think a Mazda/Ford part would last this long. This was an unexpected thought as I only had budgeted for the quote. So I called my CFO (Wife) and let her know of the issue. She said get it fixed and she'll adjust other expenses as she knows I need AC for the upcoming summer temps. So I authorized Samson to proceed with the entire job. Now I can't couldn't do any price comparison, but he did give me a discount which still fit in my overall budget. I spent my whole day in their lobby. They have updated their lobby to make it feel more comfortable and less Auto Shop feel. I notice the many people who drop by to have their car service are all happy and are returning customers. From a Dealership oil drain plug that was torqued too tight, to oil changes, brakes, and even a customer who was a bit upset where the Dealership sent the wrong part twice. The Dealership. I spoke to many of them and they all had the same answer when I ask. "What made you come here?" They replied, "Their price can't be beat!". In summary, my AC is now working as it should. Now I only used my AC for 2 whole days It gets cold and it has been awhile since I have felt cold in my aging car of 22 years. With my new water pump installed as well, my car is running smoother overall. Smoother shifts, heater gets warm fast. Almost, now almost like it was in 2004. So, Did I find a new shop for my Project Commuter Car? Yes I sure did. They have gotten a new customer. Up next is my Transmission Gasket & plug. One thing at a time! Have fun out there & do your research!

Five Stars - Honest, Efficient, and Truly Stress-Free! I had oil leaking badly from my car and was bracing for a costly repair. Turns out, the issue was a double-gasketed oil filter from a previous oil change -- a simple fix that Stress-Free Auto Care handled quickly and honestly. Their attention to detail and integrity stood out right away. This is a college commuting car that needed some serious TLC. I already knew the sway bars needed work, and they gave me a great quote using quality OEM parts. They also fixed the A/C -- just in time for the brutal Sacramento summer heat -- and it's working perfectly now. What really impressed me was the customer service. Took my 2006 Dodge Dakota V6 to their shop for engine work; heads redone, and other related components replaced; also replaced the transmission oil pan that always leaked; they did the entire job for less than what the dealership wanted just for the dealership's teardown and diagnostics!! After that, the dealership was going to give me a price for repairs! Great job!! Can't say enough good things!! Very fair and competent! I never really leave reviews on anything, but I had to leave this shop a review. They kept me updated with pictures and videos of my vehicle, I've never had a shop do that before. Absolutely loved that! The man working the front desk was very kind, I believe his name was Charles. Communication is one of the hardest things we do. The people at Kenely could do a better job of it. It's doubtful that the guy behind the counter really listened to the rough starting problems I described. He certainly didn't ask any questions. After the fact they say they looked at the car's codes but my gut says that never happened. Basically I get dinged for approx $50. read more

Unfortunately, to further troubleshoot they would have had to open the engine, a bit time consuming and a costly repair if the piston components were damaged. The news was unfortunate but I just wanted an honest assessment rather than just shotgunning parts like the last shop that tried to troubleshoot the issue.

I had him troubleshoot, an air-conditioning problem. Conduct an oil change, rotate the tires and do a brake flush. They took the time to explain how they do business and since I had to leave my vehicle there overnight I was concerned about leaving it out. They advised me that all vehicles are stored in protected lot with a tall barbed wire fence so it will be very secure. They did an amazing job and they did a nice job communicating the progress and final results. The price was very reasonable and they even washed the truck for me!
