I had been to this place before the receptionist changed. I arrived at 3:50 PM and asked if they had time to change the oil in my van--a job that takes no more than 20 minutes. Although the website states they close at 6:00 PM, this gentleman refused to do the oil change, claiming they close at 5:30 PM. I wonder if the people at this business actually love their job--or simply don't! I've been here twice now; the last time I visited, I was also told they don't take anyone after 4:30 PM... Power steering pump replacement was not STRESS FREE AS IT SHOULD HAVE BEEN. I took my car there on a recommendation from a good friend. They replaced the pump for me. Stress Free had to bleed the lines and steam clean my engine after replacement. I had to have the car towed by AAA 48 hours after replacement because fluid had leaked all over the engine and garage floor. I had already taken the car back to Stress Free with an issue after the replacement. See pictures and listen to the noise the car was making 48 hours after replacement. Less than a week later, the car went into limp mode when I was driving home from school and had to be taken to Folsom Lake Honda. Car had no issues until I took it to Stress Free for power steering replacement. Not only did I refuse to bring my car back to Stress Free to fix it after giving them 3 chances including install to get it right. Their corporate office has not responded to the letter I sent them via certified mail; yet I have documentation they received the letter. I would steer clear of this place for any service. If I didn't have a full time job plus college classes, I would take them to small claims court and or file a claim with the Bureau of Automotive Repair. read more

I have been through a lot with auto repair places that seem to create more problems than they solve. (Looking at you, Clutch Mart!) Because of that, the name of this business appealed to me. As it turns out, they live up to to the name! Every step was taken care of by text. (I hate talking on the phone lol) They did everything I wanted, for less than expected, and sent pictures of EVERYTHING which is great!! They even saved me from tragedy by noticing the bolts holding my drive line in, were not screwed in all the way, with one ready to fall out. (Last repair place did that, hence the shout-out) I would highly recommend stress free auto care, especially to other women, who might have problems finding honest shops. My brakes were making this terrible grinding sound (I knew that was bad!) So I made an appointment online for the next morning. Don was wonderful at getting me checked in, trying to keep me informed of the progress on my car. They even got me a Lyft to go home and to pick up my car, didn't have to worry about getting a ride! My only complaint I have is they kept my car for too long....almost three days! I am not sure why this happened and I guess I will just remain confused. I am not sure how much it would have cost me somewhere else, yet I felt their price was fair, paid cash for their service. I will return for more work I need to have done! read more

I've been here a couple times now and I really like the way they do business. They are all super friendly and responsive to texts and questions. I also really like that when they send u the estimate through a link, everything is listed with explanation of what it is, with pics, a cost estimation on each item, and the option to accept or decline. It really is the most stress free car service place I've ever been to. 10/10 would recommend. On my first visit, I brought in a 2001 Ford F150 truck that was not changing gears from park to drive properly. About an hour after dropping off my truck they gave me a call and told me that my truck was ready and fixed. I arrived and they explained that they tighten up a bolt on the steering column and it was free of charge. What I thought was going to be an expensive fix wound up being no charge and the truck works great. Since then I have been back a dozen times with all of my cars. The reason for two stars is that they released my car to the tow company without my permission. The insurance nor body shop had the right to take the car without my permission. I give you two stars because of your customer service. The friendliest people I have ever had the pleasure of speaking to. You're easy to find especially on a busy road and your shop is clean. But stress free? No. I came to you guys for some emergency work that I thought I needed. I left without that work because of what I was quoted. $4746.16 for a long list of unnecessary but necessary work. Why? To take advantage of someone who was scared, already stressed and needed the work? Should call yourself Stress Inducing Auto Care. Something about that quote felt off putting to say the least. So, I went to another shop. A bit less known and not as flashy. But they quoted me 3 times less than what you quoted me. With excellent quality results and repairs. They didn't give me suggested work on top of what I needed. Just what I needed. But you guys. You guys take advantage of people who don't know any better. Heart breaking. Don't come here folks. Go for the less flashy. I suggest checking out MPB Auto Care if anything. They're who I went to. They're not as flashy and their shop may be a bit further out of the way. But they're honest and transparent. They won't "suggest" work that isn't needed and they're really really affordable for repairs. Maybe I could add a better review to my comment in the future. Brought my car in on a tow for a radiator and had the mechanic come out yelling "What the hell am I supposed to do with that!!??" To replace the radiator the front needs to be removed. I had removed the bumper and front of the body. It was with the car. I was told to take it to a body shop???!!! They had to remove the front anyway, so I would have had to put it back together for them to take it apart. The front counter person was rude and the opposite of stress free. Horrible treatment. I was quoted 750 had it done for less without being treated like shit. read more

We had an oil change and tire rotation done recently at this shop and waited for it to be done. The service went well and the cost charged was fair and I especially liked how thorough they were in inspecting the car for other issues. The one exception to this good experience was a lack of a customer bathroom. Their yelp states they have an ADA bathroom but in fact they dont have any sort of customer bathroom. My wife had to walk across Greenback to go to Walmart as suggested by the manager. Can you imagine if Walmart sent their customers to this shop instead to use the bathroom? Really unacceptable and I am not sure we will return. She took an Uber back to the shop as she was not comfortable walking back. They do good car work but the way they treat their customers is not acceptable. read more

I needed a full synthetic oil change, brake fluid flush and replacement, and they let me know I needed new tires.
