I feel bad writing this because I liked my experience with Joey. I sent a notice to cancel my account on January 27th because I will be traveling frequently over the next few months and did not want to continue a membership that I wasn't going to use consistently. Upon finalizing my cancellation, I was persuaded by one of the staff members to keep my account and freeze it rather than cancel it so that I did not lose several credits that I had left. I agreed to book 1 more appointment before freezing before my card would be charged again on February 4th. I was told that the session was a credit for one of 2 sessions in December that I scheduled for weekends in january. Both of those weekend sessions were cancelled because by them because a staff member was sick. Little did I know, the owner or someone that is texting me and refusing to give their name is saying that I did not have any credits left for the additional appointment so they will charge me for the entire month of February and then freeze my account. If I had known that they planned to charge me again and that I had no credits remaining, I would have just cancelled my account as planned and not scheduled the additional appointment. I had only agreed to keep the account frozen so that I would not lose the credits that I thought I had left. After communicating with I believe Ritu via text, there is no way I would ever recommend anyone to go to this location. I am cancelling my account permanently and expect them to return the money they charged to my credit card immediately. read more

We have been going to StretchLab for many MONTHS and have had such great improvement in our flexibility as well as reduced stress. Ritu, Tim, and Emma have been our go to's from day 1! Ritu is BEYOND helpful and kind. Tim takes exceptional care of Bruce. Bruce calls Tim a "miracle worker". Emma always addresses any issues I have and by the time I leave, I am back to myself! I was a member for almost a year. Stretchlabs are franchises so management at each location varies. I was quite upset after going through three different flexologists over the course of the year. All of them went on to better endeavors. They were all excellent & I would recommend Joey there as well. Poorly run by owner, canceled appointments last min, sharing misleading information, no respect for clients. I have been using SL NB for nearly a year as part of my Medicare supplement insurance plan which provides 2 1/2 sessions monthly. My streacologest Saeed is wonderful at his job even though there were several cancellations just before my appointment, things happen. I have tried other clinicians here and was not impressed. For months I've been trying to schedule an appointment with/Saeed with no luck...out of town, limited or full schedule for him etc. Recently I received a call from the owner welcoming me as a new member. I shared I'm not new I've been a client for a year could I book an appointment w/Saeed. I was told he does not work w/new clients. I shared again confused that I've been going to him for nearly a year. She then let me know he now only works with patients w/chronic issues. I have a friend who also goes to this same therapist. I texted her to check if this was something she know about and she shared the text she had received recently that he now only works with hour sessions. Our insurance only covers 1/2 hour sessions. She was told nothing about him only taking chronic clients. There were other issues I won't bother to cover but in short we felt that what we were told was a cover that they didn't like our insurance plan and her top folks would prefer private pay clients. Who knows. Even though I am prepared to add sessions monthly out of pocket all the misleading information and cancellations, poor communication is forcing me to leave this facility for another. Stretchologists are excellent, however I canceled my membership in writing on May 1st, after they increased my dues again without advising me, promised to refund, never did, so I canceled. That cancellation was acknowledged by the owner through a series of very unprofessional emails. I'm so disappointed. I was excited for my stretch and was planning to sign up for their membership. After my appointment, I presented my gift card my husband purchased for me off their website and Sydney refused to accept it. This makes no sense. I walked into the corporate office and they told me it is valid at any stretch lab. This stretch lab first told me that it was because they did not issue it and then they told me it's because I had an introductory session. Will not ever return. read more

My clearly-stated focus was to get on a stretch program that complimented my general health, and most specifically, my golf game, something that I have seen marketed by Stretchlab at golf events and in golf publications. The golf side of the equation never came together as neither of the several flexologists I was paired with were familiar with the Stretchlab program I was seeking. Of note, it also took several attempts to simply cancel my monthly membership, due to their client retention efforts. One attempt should have been sufficient, especially after expressing my concerns to management. I was even charged for an additional month after advising management to cancel my membership. Bottom line, I found what I was looking for elsewhere, I am very unimpressed with this location (especially its management), and I suggest checking out a different Stretchlab location or simply going elsewhere. read more

I have to start by saying that the stretchologists whom I worked with have been great. One star goes to the business practices and owner, Harry. If less than one star was an option, I would select it. I was asked to post a positive review several months ago and a nagging feeling told me not to. So glad I didn't. I cancelled my membership in June when my favorite stretchologist left to start a job elsewhere. I was told at the time that I had two sessions remaining in my account. I used one of them over a month ago and had an appointment to use the last one tomorrow. I received this text at 4:45 pm today : "Hi Jean, it's Stretch Lab Newport Beach. Hope you're doing well. We saw you scheduled for tomorrow and wanted to reach out before your stretch. Since you cancelled your membership back in June, there aren't any available credits. Were you planning to reactivate your membership?" I answered "I thought I had one more session?" Their response: "Once the membership cancels the system expires the account so there isn't anything available. We're happy to see you for your stretch if you'd like to do a drop in or re-activate your membership. Just wanted to let you know before tomorrow." I asked to speak with the owner, Harry called me within minutes explaining that this is just like any subscription based service, once you cancel, all services are cancelled. This is after I was told I had two sessions left and had used one of them. He then said they expire within an month, which I was also not told upon cancellation or using one of the two remaining sessions. He then agreed to "bearing the cost and give you that session", but the offer was good for tomorrow only. The session I already paid for, but no records are kept of cancelled memberships. I asked for a commitment in writing stating that I could use the one remaining session, which I was refused. I had expressed concerns to Harry on another occasion regarding using all the sessions I had paid for. I had some travel coming up and didn't want to lose them. He assured me I wouldn't. I now understand that only applies if I were to keep the membership. There are other Stretch Lab locations that I will check out before I ever step foot in this place again. I am quite confident that Harry will post a reply to my comments defending his position. The point of this review is to point out the inconsistencies and the worst customer service I have ever experienced, and by a franchise owner. Consumer Beware!!! read more

The trainers are good, but the owner and the young woman the works at the desk are SHADY. When you notify them to cancel, they agree and say nothing. All of a sudden, they will charge your credit card for more sessions, then claim that you didn't notify them. I'm going to assume that I will get another charge in the future due to not notifying in writing. Terrible customer service. They offer a "discounted" trial for $59 and then force you to buy their special socks, which they tell you about afterward in an email, which cost 30% of the trial! When I learned about this and kindly asked for a refund, I was told, 'No, that's policy, no refunds.' Yet you can read the reviews that some people got a refund when they asked. How's that for consistency? Why am I being singled out? Can you imagine how else they run their business if that's their customer service? This is not an indictment of all StretchLabs -- as the services are valuable to people. But these are all franchises, individually owned and operated, and this is not a way to operate any business where customers are your bread and butter. I would give 5 stars for the staff ***** but as for the owner BE CAREFUL kind of crook. He says 150.00 monthly but he charges you per season. So a both that is five weeks he'll charge you additional for an extra session. In other words, $150 is only for 4 sessions of 25 minutes. When I had to stop going there, he charged me $150 plus $45 for 9/22 and I never got the last session of September. So for 3 sessions in September I paid $195. Go to Costa Mesa or Irvine not here.
