Come on! Any hotel knows that you shouldn't require guests to stair-climb to enter the hot tub. The designers of the Active Wellness Center were too cheap to build a fully in-ground jacuzzi pool. Also... the only way a disabled person could get through the heavy glass doors surrounding the pool and dressing rooms is to have a strong caregiver present. And even then, the wheelchair will smash against the glass doors, which won't stay open for you. And get this! When I cancelled our memberships, they provided only the tiniest box to explain why we were cancelling. I typed "Not Enough Space Here." I fully expected them to email me asking for details. Nope. They never wrote.

I reached out multiple times to raise my concerns and ask about options moving forward, but was simply told that nothing could be done. I've been a member here for about 6 months. I joined specifically to work with a personal trainer…read more(Ron). I had specific goals that Ron understood and drafted a workout and nutrition plan to help me meet those goals. As my fitness improved Ron updated the plan to keep it challenging and relevant. The nutrition aspect of my plan was great as well. He created a long list of foods that matched up with my goals and matched them to the grocery stores I already was using. He also pushed me physically which is what I needed on quite a few early mornings. My experience with Ron was life changing. My job puts a lot of stress on different parts of my body, and Ron has helped my body be much more resilient to injuries. Plus I feel great and more confident with my increased energy and strength. My training sessions ended a while ago but I've kept up on my regular workout routine, which is something I've never been able to do over the past twenty years despite many attempts. I've already referred Ron to several friends and colleagues. As for the gym and its staff: Reagan is awesome. I don't know any other staff because I'm only there early mornings. The gym equipment works fine, but it does seem sketchy sometimes. I've seen loose bolts, broken pieces of trim that stick out and scratch legs or catch clothing, and I've tripped more than once on uneven floor or equipments that is packed too closely together. Another guy and I were talking recently that were shocked the gym owner isn't all over maintenance and replacement of the floor and equipment. Seems like a lawsuit or two could financially ruin the place pretty quickly. I hope that doesn't happen because I really like the atmosphere of the gym. People are friendly. The trainer is fantastic. The equipment and facilities just need to be updated and better maintained. It doesn't need to be fancy. I don't want to pay for a fancy gym or workout in a fancy place. Just a few clicks nicer.

The lower rating is simply in hopes that the owner will address some ongoing issues within the gym. There are approximately 15 treadmills, and all of them have recurring problems, whether it's a loose belt, clunking noise, self-adjusting settings, or being completely out of service. While repairs are made regularly, the issues often return within a short period of time. Given how heavily these machines are used by people of all ages, from walkers to runners, reliable equipment is important. I've also noticed a significant decline in cleanliness over the past 6-8 months. Dust and dirt have become much more noticeable throughout the facility. I'm genuinely sad to leave because the gym community has been fantastic. Unfortunately, it no longer serves the purpose it once did when I first joined and the equipment was consistently well maintained. I hope these concerns are addressed, as this gym has many great qualities and a lot of potential.

I'm sharing this because I wish I found someone like Casey sooner…read more I've had two sessions so far, and both were deeply personalized and exactly what I needed. In the first session, we revisited childhood memories and worked on rewriting the emotional experience I carried as a child, especially not being able to understand why my parents were busy and working (even though they were doing their best with what they knew). We ended with a chakra rebalancing meditation that helped my nervous system settle in a way I didn't expect. The second session focused on my recent grief and the patterns it has been triggering in my relationships. Casey guided me through an imagery meditation where I practiced giving myself the love, safety, and security I've been trying to find externally, and leaving the pain in the past where it belongs. It felt like emotional closure, but also like learning a new way to care for myself. Casey truly feels like a walking hug. She's present, loving, grounded, and radiant. I felt held the entire time, and I left feeling more supported than I've ever felt in a romantic relationship. The biggest gift is that she's helping me learn to provide that same compassion and safety to myself, and heal my codependency from the inside out.
