The doctor and lady helping her were also extremely friendly and informative and seemed to genuinely care about my needs. Lastly the lady who helps during check out was an absolute doll. So helpful and sweet. They have assembled an incredible staff here.

While going over charges at the end, I had a $145 contact fitting fee. I've been wearing contacts for years so no one helped me "fit" anything. After stating they should really be more transparent around pricing I was informed that I was supposed to be told upfront. I asked for one pair of contact lens samples to take with me to use during the two week wait time and was told no. $718 and 3 hours later (no exaggeration ) I was finally on my way out. I did ask if that time frame was typical and was told that it was normal now that they've switched to virtual. I now know after reading other reviews that it's actually not typical. I feel deceived on pricing and my time and patronage were not respected or appreciated. I'll be picking up my glasses (cheapest pair available) and contacts and will never visit again. I'll add that the virtual visit with the doctor and technician was fine and both were professional. Unfortunately this doesn't make up for the rest of the visit but it's at least one good caveat to this.

He has a perfectly reasonable, logical explanation for whatever ails you, and he does whatever he can to explain it to you. He also uses technology that - prior to visiting his office - I hadn't seen in other optometrists' offices, like the camera that takes a big, clear photo of the inside of your eye to check for any horrifying abnormalities and to compare the overall state of their health year after year. The rest of the staff was really helpful. An employee that was awesome helped me pick frames and I personally didn't feel any pressure to buy, just helpful suggestions about the shape and color of the frames. There is a reason Carolina Family Vision was voted "Best Eye Doctor" in Holly Springs this year.

I went and needed to make an appointment- a week later 4/21/27 i was examined and I was impressed with all the updated machines. I had to wait a few weeks for glasses to be made, which is not unusual. I then went in and tried them on, these were $900 bifocals with all the bells and whistles, but the long-distance view was blurry. I immediately told this to the woman helping me, but she said take them home and get used to them and if they don't get better, bring them back. After a week, I went back and they gave me another exam, and the results were different from the first. After waiting another week or so, I went back again. the new glasses were fine. However, upon leaving, they handed me the old prescription and did not give me the accurate prescription. All was fine until I wanted to get a pair of prescription sunglasses from Costco. I gave them the script from Carolina Vision and waited a week. These sunglasses were for a vacation planned for the beginning of September to see Ireland. Well, when I tried the new sunglasses on , they were blurry. The optometrist at Costco tested my regular glasses and discovered the the script the I was given was the wrong script. so now i have to go on my vacation without the benefit of great sunglasses . Bottom line - Carilina Family vision looks pretty on the outside, the salespeople are professional, but behind the scenes it is a clown show .

I've been examined by two different Optometrists and was pleased by their thoroughness and professionalism. An added bonus is that they were both pleasant and friendly. My vision insurance covers most of the cost of a visit. Like any other Optometrist's office their frames and lenses are a bit pricey. I recently had a problem with a pair of glasses I purchased from them and they fixed them quickly with no questions asked. One minor annoyance is that the receptionist has you sign in for your appointment. Come on, I stopped doing that when I retired from the Marines and stopped visiting sick call.

All three of us have had nothing but good experiences when we have been seen in the office. Just this week, I had my check-up with Dr. James Salter. He has always been and continues to be very thorough and professional. He never seems hurried and provides his undivided attention during visits. There have been a few times when I have had to wait longer than I would have liked, but these visits were during busy times. My visit this week was during the morning hours and I was in and out! As a previous patient stated, their frames and lenses are a bit more pricey but they do not pressure you to purchase from them. I will say that the frames I have purchased from them, I am able to use again instead of purchasing a new pair. I would highly recommend Clarity Vision!
