I am sorry to do this review and hope to change it but for a place I spend 50-150 at each time I go for just a movie I have seen the service on a decent to ordering and hoping you get food or drink before the movie is over. This has to be fixed or we all must avoid and choose the nearby Alamo draft house till then it has a much better menu anyway. It's the only way to teach Cinemark that high profits come with service expectations. Lots of things to entertain you and a group here. The most disappointing area is the restaurant. I walked in and immediately got on the seating wait list and was told it would be an hour... which isn't an issue because of the numerous things to occupy us. I went back in an hour and was told that there were 5 groups ahead of us still, and 50% of the tables in the seating area were unoccupied and ready for peeps. I mentioned this to the hostess nicely... and she was like "we don't sit people because of empty tables... it's all about how busy the kitchen is". I find it odd... cause all the people who were not going to wait simply found seats elsewhere in the complex and ordered their food at the bar... super frustrating and not at all sensible. Poor service... not managed well. Likely will get better after they get their legs under them... still fairly new. read more

I live down the street from Strike & Reel and we love it! We were so excited when they opened. It's a great place to just let loose and have fun. The arcade is great, so is the bowling! The food here is not my favorite. I would skip that actually. We haven't watched a movie here yet. Typically we go to the Alamo Drafthouse for our movie dates. If you want to have a fun time in a relaxed environment come here! The best time to go is before 3pm on the weekends or anytime on the weekdays. read more

Fun place for kids and adults alike. Bowling was fun, arcade has all sorts of things to do including a rock wall and sky obstacle course. Didn't see a movie so can't comment on that but the buffalo chicken pizza was very tasty and nice beer selection as well. Will definitely be back! read more

The bowling and games are good. The food is absolutely terrible. We ordered chicken tenders, which were lukewarm at best. No sauce of any sort. I ordered it with veggies but those were not any good either. The kids cheese pizza was edible but that was about it. The service was terrible as well. I will not be going back. read more

I was SO excited about this place, but it was super disappointing. The place is cool, but the service was terrible and the food was awful. My fiancé and I saw a movie, the seats were comfy so that was a positive! But the server couldn't answer any of our questions and was very unhelpful. My fries and chicken were still cold and wet... you could tell it was just frozen food quickly heated up. ‍ If you just want a cool place to bowl or want to catch a quick movie, it's worth it. Great place for a first date! I hadn't ever been to a Strike and Reel, but was immediately impressed. It was appealing, welcoming, clean, with lots of entertainment options. I didn't catch the name of the young lady who initially helped us, but she was so friendly that it put me right at ease. I did notice the name of one of the managers who assisted us--Renae--she treated us like we were friends of hers, like she had a genuine interest in making our experience the best possible. And it was. We bowled, played air hockey, found some couches to sit and talk for a while before taking in a movie. I'd definitely go back again...maybe for a second date ;-) read more

First time at Strike + Reel this afternoon. Went to see a movie and thought the idea of ordering food was pretty cool...until...we ordered 3 pizzas and 3 sodas. The pizza came pretty quickly, one of our pizza's was the wrong order. Drinks never came. I requested our drinks 3 more times from 2 different waitresses and they still never brought them. I finally got up and and walked into the lobby where I found a different waitress and apparently a manager. 10 minutes later (1 hour and 30 minutes into the movie) we got our sodas. Their excuse was that it was very busy. If you're going to offer these services, you need to be staffed to handle it. This is a really cool place, but not a good first impression. read more

Tonight I had Jalen as a server again. He was great and very fun to talk to and very attentive to my family and our needs. Once we sat down he greeted us immediately and took our orders. He explained that the kitchen is kinda backed up so our food was going to take a while to come out. He brought us some Chips& Salsa !! Once our food came out it was good but there is some room for improvement. But other than my family and I had a blast and will be coming back for him and the bowling and other attractions. read more

My second visit for a movie! Easy to purchase my ticket online but a little confusing as to what to do when you arrive. The recliners are very comfy! Service was impeccable, especially by Maddie!!! 1. Service is terrible, only one attendant mid day for bowling. Unfortunately he was not well trained and as the line grew no management stepped in. 2. Our lane didn't break down however lanes beside us did and the employees right on the fault line were distracting. 3. Air ventilation was terrible, I was sweating and as I looked around many others were also. Small vents won't cut it with the bowling area being in a box and all the lights and folks amping up the heat. 4. Sooo over priced! Compared to main event or other places. Bowling, food and a few games will cost you well over $100 5. Witness a lady with a child being told, "family bathroom is locked, you will need to find a manager" blew me away. 6. Games were few and far between, spread between an equal amount of the crap chance games. 7. New, clean building, but honestly over priced, undertrained, understaffed and I was very underwhelmed. I took my son here for his birthday on a sunday evening. I gave 3 stars because the restaurant experience was mediocre. Waiting for our waiter to return and our drinks took up the majority of our time here. We ordered two alcohol drinks that we didn't get until we were almost done eating. Our waiter kept forgetting things we asked for. The manager came over to apologize for our drinks taking so long which was nice. The burger buns are the worst sourdough buns i've ever had. I got the nashville hot chicken sandwich and it was terrible. KFC has a better sandwich. The arcade section has a nice selection of games and other activities, this alone will be the reason i return. I did the private room/screening with them. I'm not sure if this was the first time they did it but it sure seemed like it. My guests orders came out wrong ( most of them). Some were refused items on menu. They were told the movie was too short.?? It was 1.5 hours long so I didn't understand this. Some of my guests were over charged. Everyone was double charged! When we called the cinema to get this fixed, some got no answer and others were told the refund was processed when it never was. All of us had to dispute the charges with our banks to get our money back. I requested a refund and was told since we saw the movie no refund would be given. I was however offered some bowling vouchers. I expressed to manager that I don't bowl and aside from the movie playing without a hitch, I was not pleased with the experience and would like to get at least a partial refund. Still denied and only offered the bowling vouchers. All I can do now is leave this not so great review. It's not like I just bought a few movie tickets. I rented out the entire cinema. Recently went there with some friends, the arcade area was alright and not too overly priced. However, went went bowling afterwards and someone in our party ordered some ice cream and the waitress did not return for over 30 min and "forgot" our order. We asked someone else and they said the kitchen just closed which was disappointing. Also for a bowling alley the lanes were not waxed and wasted 20 dollars on an hour bowling for wax-less lanes. NJOVERRATED but I suppose convenient if you want one stop shop/entertainment. We brought friends visiting for Holidays. Ok picture small boutique version of MainEvent, Studio Movie Grill and Pin Stack nder one roof. Throw in a 13×13bumper car "room"( really tiny)and there you have it. Cramped game area, much smaller than Dave & Buster's or MainEvent. option same as as other Movie/Dining combo businesses ( Studio Movie Grill, Alamo Draft, some AMCs). Nice open entryway to have a drink and chill while waiting for your movie start time...sidenote: they do not allow you entry into your theater until 10 MINUTES before showtime. So needless to say the Servers were still scrambling around and walking in front of screen to deliver standard fare food orders when the movie started. We didn't see what we considered 'luxury dining" as Manger professed. We did like the spacious entryway and LONGGGGG Bar decent Boozy Shake but don't ask for Texas wines or a couple of "popular"Vodkas ( of course they served Tito's). We also found out that like another entertainment center we frequent, bowling per hour prices vary by what's called "peak vs nonpeak hours". Strike+ Reel accomplishes its marketing goal for of one stop shop entertainment so expect to PAY for the combined experience....just don't look for much more than you get at MainEvent, Studio Movie Grill and Pin Stack....even after they air out all the newby kinks. read more

Me & my family have been to this place for 3 days in a row and every time there was an issue on their end. First time there was a double booking so we rescheduled for next day and then there was a second time double booking. third day we waited average 45 minutes for the bowling, as time went by they told us there was a situation and we have to wait another 45 minutes again. They didn't even bother coming to update us on what happened we had to approach them ourselves. read more

Went in earlier in the week and the place was busy. We were excited to try this place out, but we did feel ignored by all the employees when we were trying to get drinks at the bar. Selena came by to help us out and was awesome. She told us how the games/bowling/movies worked and recommended the pizzas to us. The games were a little expensive, but during the week they have $10 bowling specials. This place is pretty cool, but they need more people like Selena to help run the place. The facility is great. Open and lots of space to hang out with your group. But so many of the games are glitchy and broken. We lost credits on at least half a dozen. Burger was wrong. Cheese fries were cold. We went them back but the replacement was only slightly warm and a pile of mush. Iced tea with no ice. Fries with no ketchup. Dirty tables and food on the floor in a relatively empty dining room. Lots of inexperienced staff looking like they don't know what to do. Just everything not quite right. We live close so we will try it again in a few weeks, maybe for a movie. It's be nice if they get it together so we don't have to go to Allen for Pinstack. (This place is almost a copy, with movies.) Came back for a movie. Seats are amazing. Food came out without silverware or napkins, again no ketchup for the chicken strips and fries, and half of our order never came out. Had to ask for the rest of the order, then again for ketchup and napkins, then again for napkins. Had to ask *again* for food after half an hour. TLDR: get popcorn and a drink and sit down front where servers aren't walking past the screen. Or go to Alamo read more

We decided to give this movie house one more try last night. Huge mistake. Our last outing there (New Year's eve) was terrible. Not enough wait staff--we never got our drinks, popcorn or food for their advertised "come spend New Years Eve with us!" movie promotion. We were starving and it ruined the movie experience. And we paid a lot for those tickets! Management never responded to my calls and emails. We stood in line to get our money back that night, but the complaint line was so long... others were just as frustrated. So fast forward to last night. We thought surely they had gotten things sorted out. Nope! We bought tickets to see the new Jurassic Park movie on their XD screen. We arrived early so we could order dinner. The wait staff didn't come into the theater until the movie had already started. Our server told us they were only serving drinks and popcorn. I said--we came for dinner! We haven't eaten! She said she was sorry, but they weren't serving food because they were out of everything. No more--we will not be back. read more

We were excited to try this place for a movie. The service was horrible. No napkins or silverware were offered. We waited over 30 minutes for a bowl of popcorn and two drinks. I turned on my light and a few minutes later it appeared. Note to management: have your servers give silverware when the guests order. Have some of your runners dedicated to dinks and popcorn only! My family ordered nachos and they waited for them for quite a while. They had the nachos for 10 minutes before drinks came and then no napkins or silverware! More service training is needed. The nachos were lacking the ingredients listed on the menu description. Drinks should come out quickly, followed by the meal. This shouldn't be any different than a restaurant experience other than the fact it's in a theater. The only reason I didn't make a big deal out of the experience is because I know it's a new place. read more

I wouldn't recommend this place. I went to the bar to see if I could order a couple of milkshakes, and the white bartender was extremely rude. She told me that I could not order milkshakes there that I had to order from the milkshake area at the end of the bar. I clearly went to her because there was no sign of life at the milkshake counter. I had to flag someone else down and ask if I could order and the guy said he'd be right back to help me. I could tell he was busy because he was working the bowling lanes. The girl at the bar had maybe 4 people who had already been served and she could not be bothered to take my order and help a fellow coworker who was visibly more busy than she was. As I was waiting, I noticed more people sitting at the bar and the bartenders attitude was completely different towards them. She was not rude to them like she was to me because they were white. I've seen a few other posts saying the staff here is racist and I truly believe that some are. As I was waiting to order, I watched as staff brought back some milkshakes that were made wrong. I heard them say the customer asked for no whip cream. I watched them remove with their bare hands the pieces of cake and lollipops placed in the milkshake. Instead of making new milkshakes, they scraped off the whip cream and placed the same items right back on the milkshake with their bare hands again as they wiped their hands on their aprons. After witnessing this I decided to not order any milkshakes from them. Not like I was being helped anyway. read more

Will NOT return.......Food took a REALLY long time!! 40 - 45 mins waiting for our food. I waited what seemed like forever for a refill on my water as well. Yes it was hot that day and I drank the first cup fast however the waiter kept walking past our table not even glancing our way for a "hey you need a refill"......Once I did catch his attention and ask for a refill he walked past a few more times bringing the table next to us stuff they asked for over and over with NO WATER.......Then finally he brought me a water.....gee thanks!! Then I drank that one with our dinner and didn't ever get any more. I guess their water bill was too high and I was at my two water limit (sarcasm). They served our food to the wrong table and had to make it again....UGH!!! read more
