Came here with a party of about 15. Everyone had a lot of fun. The place seems new and all of the games were working. The kids enjoyed the bumper cars, laser tag, rock climbing and video games while the adults drank beer and played arcade games. The ticket prizes were decent too and they had a variety of options. The staff appeared to be in a good mood and greeted us several times during our visit. This place is definitely better than Main Event IMO. We will definitely be back the next time we visit my family in Garland! read more

My husband and I went to Strike + Reel for the first time today for a movie. The facility itself is bright shiny new, and very clean. We checked out the whole facility, and stopped by the bowling area. You can actually bowl in 30 minute increments if you would like. They carry up to a size 18 men's shoe which is important because my husband is very tall. We played a few games and they are your typical arcade type games. We were pleased and impressed with the movie theater itself. The seats were very comfortable, reclining, and we loved that they were heated. Of course we had to order the epic cheese fries since we had heard so much about them. Here's where the three star rating comes in. The original server who took our order with, we never saw again. There was a different server that brought the food. The fries were delivered in a timely manner. When they were delivered, I asked for an extra plate and some silverware. Believe me, you will need these. The server came back with silverware and no plate. I asked her again for a plate. After she left I noticed they did not bring us any ranch at all for the fries. When she finally brought the plate we had to ask for the sauce which is supposed to come with it. By this time the fries were cold. There were also several in the middle that were not cooked through. I was going to complain about this but just decided at this point to eat what we could. They stated they would bring the check in the last hour of the movie. They didn't actually bring the check until the movie was wrapping up, maybe 10 or 15 minutes ahead. Again, this was a different server who we had not seen. He never came back to collect our payment. After the movie ended, we waited for several minutes and nobody came. We finally got up and went out to the host out front, and he had a different server take our check and ring it up for us. We could have walked out the front door without paying as nobody noticed whatsoever, but we did the right thing and paid our bill. The host who was out front was very helpful and very friendly, as was the guy at the information desk. We had mixed feelings about our experience, mostly due to the service and the quality of the food. We know this is a new facility and is working out the kinks. We will most likely return at some point and hope for a better experience. read more

After allowing our daughter to climb the rock wall for almost 2 Years (she is over the 40lb weight limit) they have now informed us she must be 6 years old to climb. The staff is rude, inconsistent, and we will not be back. In addition to this, the bar service sucks and the food is just okay. We have spent hundreds of dollars here and have even had a birthday party here. We will be going somewhere that demonstrates customer service and treats their customers fairly. read more

I'm sure I'll give a better rating in the near future. I want to preface this by saying, it's a new place and they still have kinks to work out in my opinion. I'll definitely go back to give it more tries. My reason for the three stars is the theater food was disappointing, there was an awful smell in the theater at the end of the movie, and everything was a bit confusing. My husband and I received gift cards for Christmas, so we decided to have some fun and go use them. We didn't know much about Strike + Reel except that it was new and similar to Shenanigans in Rockwall and Alamo Drafthouse. We visit Alamo Drafthouse frequently and we love it. So we loved the idea of trying a new place. It's a huge place! Very clean and very modern So far, so good. We walked up to the man behind the front desk and asked where we buy movie tickets, and he pointed us to the ticket kiosks. We picked The Grudge, but the kiosk wouldn't take our gift cards; no biggie. So we walked over to the man behind the desk in the theater section and asked if we could purchase our tickets with him. All good, but he didn't know how to use our gift cards to pay for the tickets. He called over a manager and she had trouble as well. So we followed her to the first front desk to try that computer. That one worked, but it wouldn't print our tickets ‍. So she had to walk us to our theater to tell the staff for that theater what the problem was, but we paid, so we're good to go. Again, not a huge bother but in my mind, it felt like all that had taken a good half hour, in reality it was probably 10 minutes. We were a few minutes late to the movie because of all that, but no big deal. We got comfy in the reclining seats and believe me they are very comfy! Oh, and we were the only 2 people seeing The Grudge so that was even better having it all to ourselves. The server came by to take our drink order and then gave us a few minutes to peruse the menu. So, if you've been to Alamo Drafthouse you know that they have pencils and paper to write down your order so the server can come to pick it up without interrupting the movie. Unfortunately, they don't do that here. The movie was playing and we almost had to shout our order so she could hear us and she had a tablet to put in our order which was just super bright and distracting. It's a good thing it was only us in there instead of a packed theater because that would've been a big problem. I ordered the Epic Cheese Fries because well, Alamo Drafthouse has amazing cheese fries so I figured let's try theirs. Hubby got a pepperoni pizza. The fries were huuuge. They mean it when they say 'Epic,' it was an epic proportion of potato, meats, and cheese. It just had zero flavor and the fries were mush. Too much stuff, not enough taste. I really tried to eat it, but I just couldn't. Hubby offered half his pizza, but I was feeling sick to my stomach by then. So I sipped on my tea and we watched the movie. About half-way through the movie, the server came in and asked for our card so we could pay. Again, with the tablet trying to put in our card info while standing right next to our seats was SO distracting. And in the middle of the movie ‍. Alamo waits until the last 15-20 minutes of a movie and leaves the bill on the lil table. Put the card with the bill, they come and quietly take it back to wherever they do their thing. We also ordered a chocolate shake while she was trying to put in our card info. The shake was great btw . My last theater issue was there was a horrible smell during the last 10-15 minutes of the movie. It smelled like sewage or spoiled eggs. I seriously thought there was a gas leak or something. It was so bad we had to cover our faces with our hoodies. After the movie, we decided to check out the arcade area. There was more confusing back and forth stuff to buy a game card, but once we got it we had a blast. We played Pong, air-hockey, The Walking Dead game, and a couple others I can't remember. We had a lot of fun overall and all the staff we came in contact with was nice and friendly. Again, I realize new businesses have kinks to work out and new staff has to get in the groove of everything. And like I said, we'll go back to try it out again! read more

Will NEVER go back, worst service, bar tenders rude and knew nothing about wines, had 20 bar tenders walking around talking to each other ignoring guest. The cherry was their manager Alex rude and childish. Talks over customers with complaints and if you do not agree with him, calls Police to escort you out. Very unorganized. Ok so I really want to like this place, and deep down I think I do. We go mainly for food, drinks, and movies - and we ultimately have a good night every time we come here...BUT WOW - the service needs work. The servers are all nice enough but the ticket times are absurd. We initially sat at the bar and the bartender greeted us quickly but there was literally zero hustle for food running. We were able to see the food expo line from where we were sitting and we watched plates of food just sit there. It took us 20 minutes to get a caeser salad and we ended up having to take our entrees to go into the theater so we wouldn't miss our movie (another 20 minutes). We ordered one drink round and the beer came out quick enough but my cocktail was another solid 20 minutes from the time we ordered. The only other time we came here, we ordered actual meals while sitting in the movie and it was about 1 - 1.5 hours before the food came (pizza was okay, buffalo wings were cold). Thankfully our wait is distracted by the movie (which maybe was done by design?!) but yea - pretty bad. The kicker is that we see tons of people working and borderline standing around not doing much. Why aren't they running food? I think we will give it one more try before never ordering food again and sticking to beer for drinks. Fingers crossed third times a charm! read more

Was excited to see this open in our area since we need more entertainment options in this side of town. Was disappointed from the word go. It's basically a pin stack with movies. The food is worse though, and their drink menu was not diverse. They boast of wines on tap. Anyone who drinks wine, wouldn't want it on tap. This location is new, and yet many games were being fixed or out of order. The staff was slow and forgetful, or just not helpful and downright rude. I hope they get tighter standards and a better menu. Otherwise, it's just one more let down in an area that could use some competition. read more

Service is what kills this place. It only opened last Thursday, but the employees could use some more training. The employees do mean well, but without proper training they don't come off as so. While sitting in the restaurant area there was no waiters walking around checking on drinks, I had to wait for them to bring out my food and then bring the check to get some more water. The first steak that came out was super well done when asked for medium well, then it was remade. I got the burger and asked for medium rare and it came out well done. It was a tasty burger, but the temp was wrong. They even got some of the drinks wrong. I will look past this, but when I went to the bowling alley, it took over 20 minutes for our server to come to us and every time I needed something I felt like I had to go find them myself. I felt like I was asking for too much without being serviced by the staff. Training would probably help, and I'll be back to see what changes. Had the Mediterranean(could've been a side salad anywhere else) $11, added chicken another $4 (maybe 1/2 cup shredded), had a couple of cocktails at $8/each, total bill $50. Well, I have mixed reviews. Arcades game area was fine, no problems. Y'all are definitely staffed in this area. My family and I went bowling at 4:30 pm on a Thursday, the guy at the front desk as soon as you walk in wasn't very helpful. Felt no need to take his AirPods out and come help us on the touch screen or explain to us what we need to purchase. I work customer service and I'm also a manager, my company is all about friendly and going out of our way to make the customer feel welcomed and comfortable. Therefore, I UNDERSTAND the shortage in employees, I understand the demand for customer service and the demand to hire people. It was not busy at all when we were there. There were 2 employees at the bowling counter just chit chatting about their teenage gossip that my 5 year old didn't need to hear. Once we got situated with our bowling, we ask for service help. Bless this kids heart! Mikie, I think was his name. So patient with us and he had no help while he was serving the three groups that were bowling. When we called for service help, no one came for 10 minutes. We went up to the bowling counter where there were, I kid you not, 6 employees with red shirts on not doing anything but supporting the counter and talking. We asked for help to order our food and the guy at the counter said "he's coming, he's the only waiter and we're short staffed." Ok I get it, no problem. 10 mins later passes by and Mikie comes, he looks aggravated as he's the only one hustling and working trying to satisfy his customers. I have no complaints on Mikie, he was awesome. He even served us alcohol beverages when there weren't any bartenders. Why couldn't any of those kids help Mikie? I understand people have to meet certain age requirements to serve alcohol, also about cross training. But, there's a difference with not helping your team and just standing around watching your team break their back to work hard. Then I asked these two female employees where the restroom was, and the women who was dressed in white rolled her eyes and just pointed where they were, as if I should've known where the restrooms were. First, I understand the state of labor for restaurants, I own 35 full service restaurants in Houston. But my experience for last night is really a home office issue of the ownership not understanding what the individual locations are trying to accomplish Arrived with my wife and 2 grandchildren at 6pm for a 7pm movie Sat in the lounge and ordered a Chardonnay two milkshakes and a diet drink. Was told out of Chardonnay but later in the theatre they sold us a Chardonnay. The drinks came out with almost no ice in my soda and no napkins for my grandchildren so server had to go find the plastic silverware packets Got to our seats at 7:00 and placed our order at 7:05 Kids cheese pizza Kids chicken quesadillas Chicken quesadilla Street tacos Chardonnay Diet Coke 2 bottles water 7:15 Diet Coke Two waters No Chardonnay 7:30 Kids pizza 7:40 My street tacos No wine and no quesadillas 7:45 I walked over to the ticket taker and asked for Mgr Ticket taker didn't have a headset or any way to call Mgr He left the ticket area with guests waiting to enter to run down the hallway to the kitchen to get Mgr REALLY NO HEADSET TO A MGR!!!! After I waited for a while I walked to the kitchen and found Mgr a stressed out young female Mgr Of course she said what she was trained to say; I hear your concerns I want to solve them BUT I working the line by myself trying to get the orders out!! So she was trying BUT at the front is a counter with THREE EEs just hanging out, I tried to buy my tickets there but they told me to go to the other ticket station past the kiosks WHY THREE EEs standing at that counter?? Couldn't TWO of them be helping in the kitchen? Jeez quesadillas are the simplest thing on your menu next to fried items. MY QUESTIONS FOR CORPORATE Where is this poor overstressed Mgr support? Where is the Supervisor why weren't they there Where is the Corporate trainer why weren't they helping fill in Where is the Culinary team? PLUS: WHY are you still offering your FULL MENU when you DON'T have the kitchen staff to execute it?? I give it 2 stars because of their lack of support to those with special needs. The lack of understanding or care is shown through their need to profit as much as possible. The place is cool, but over hyped. My autistic son wanted to come here with the few friends he made, and I was hoping they would help me and figure out what I could do to make this possible. He could have a birthday, but pay double for him and his 4 friends (the first time he had friends in 13 years) or pay even more to pay for each thing individually. There should be something in place that helps people with these unique situations. Being able to have real friends for your birthday for the first time should be a celebration, not a way to profit off of it. My husband and I were extremely disappointed in Strike + Reel. We have been wanting to come here for over a year, and when we finally did the service was not good at all. 1.) We had ordered two beers that took over an hour to get. When we were able to get a server to come by she told me that the server did not hear our order despite him swiping our card. We finally were able to get our two beers after everyone else who sat after us got their food and drinks. 2.) Another reason why we wanted to come here was the fact that they serve food (pizza, burgers, etc) while you watch a movie. We decided to have the pizza and a side of fries. When our server took our beer order he told us that they were not serving food at all just popcorn. We said that was okay and decided the beer would be fine (little did we know it would take over an hour to get the beers). While still waiting for our beers, I look over at the people who sat down after us who not only got their drinks before us but also a burger, pizza, and nachos! Went to movie. Seats great but skip the food. Popcorn was cold and stale. I ordered a salad. Not only was it served after 3/4 of the movie was ordered it was hot. Who cooks a salad? Also went to the restroom and there was no toliet paper. Their seems to be a problem with service and the kitchen. The week before we went and they never served our complete food order. We usually come here for the movies. They have nice decking seats that are heated, plus you can order food during the movie. This last experience was just horrible on the staffs part. 15 minutes before the movie started we ordered our drinks and food. The drinks came out first, one of the drinks were wrong so the young man said he would bring back the correct one. Well 15 minutes had passed and my son had no drink, so I asked another young man and he said "sure I'll go get it. Guess what he never came back! Then a young boy came to deliver one food order to us out of 6 and he said he would come back with the drink and actually did. The whole process of food delivery it crazy and Not organized at all. We did not get all of food orders until the movie was halfway over! When we received them they were so cold and it's not like we could ask for new food because it took over an hour to get the first order! We then pressed the bottom to have refills on our drinks literally no one showed up! Then 20 minutes our check arrives so I ask the lady for refills the waitress is said "UH FOR EVERYONE?" With an attitude and a shock of surprise so I told her yes for everyone we have had the light on for awhile. Needless to say the drink refills arrived as the credits started rolling. When you spend $122 on food you expect a little better service. They need to come up with a better game plan. read more

Gross and Lazy Staff! This place is horrible! We've been here three times now and each time we came there was an major issue. First time we came games weren't working and one of the managers/employees was playing the pinball machine instead of helping anyone at the bar and the bartender was taking forever to get to us. Why that person decided to play a damn game instead of helping a customer is ridiculous! Second time we came we were told that bowling was only going to be an hour wait and we ended up waiting THREE HOURS! On top of that we ordered cheese fries which were not only cold but they were half the size of what they were the last time... When we asked about it the server said that they changed the portion size and kept the pricing the same.... We sat in the dinning room tonight and the server that served us was rude and we waited forever to get the food and drinks. Then the manager came over and talked to us and was being racist. This is a fun place to go! They just opeNed so things are getting all settled but we had a blast. The arcade is awesome and bowling was fun. They do need to work on some staaffing issues and the wait times (two hours for dinner-with open tables but not enough waiters-and it took them 4 hours to get us in for bowling) and their service was stressed and mediocre. I think it was jUst because they are so new. Once they have all that works out it will be a welcome part of ttown. We need more fun things to do our here! read more

We came here during the week of spring break and had a fun time. It wasn't too busy at first but as the day went on it was pretty busy. We saw a movie and then played in the arcade for a bit. We were the only ones in the movie theater, score!! The seats here are so comfy, like lying on a cloud. The heated seats are so nice, keeps you nice and toasty if the theater is chilly. The waitress came to our seats pretty quickly to take our order after we pushed the button on the seat. Our food came quickly and was piping hot! The food is pricey but you are paying to have them bring it to your seat so take that into consideration when you order. The prices are comparable to a normal sit down restaurant We thought the food was pretty good! I had a chicken sandwich that was huge. I couldn't eat the whole thing but I did manage to eat all of my tasty fries. My son had a pizza and devoured it. My other kids had chicken tenders and sliders. They both gave it two thumbs up. If I am going to knock stars I have to take a half star off for not getting napkins and utensils with our food. We finished our movie and headed to the arcade. I didn't notice a ton of employees but the ones I noticed were all teens or a tad older. Some of them seemed bored at their jobs and there was a lot of chit chatting among employees. But, I would expect nothing different from social creatures such as teens. I did see one teen cleaning machines but other than that, nobody walking the floor to see if games were working properly. A few broken games here and there but nothing out of the ordinary. The kids rode the bumper cars and had such a great time. The area is small but they didn't seem to mind much. The smiles were totally worth the high price tag. My kids also did the obstacle course above the arcade and loved it. The young men working the course were so nice. Especially the one young man on the actual course who was encouraging and chatting with my boys. After we were done we hit the ticket exchange store. We were disappointed. I wish arcades would have stuff that is trending like Fortnite, Among us, etc. not cheap dollar store stuff. I also thought the amount of tickets needed for some things like the candy were high. Games weren't too generous with tickets like other arcades in the area or maybe we were just unlucky. All in all bring your wallet and have a fun time. This place is pretty nice however the food is not good at all. We have been to the movie theater twice and the first time we ordered chick flicks which are the chicken strips. Hey he breading completely fell ooff after I bit into it and was super rubbery. It was super overpriced for what we got. We decided we would give it another shot so we just played it safe and just got popcorn and drinks. The popcorn was super dry and barely any butter and to top it all off(no pun intended) the butter was not even warm. Nice people who work there. We went today, and they informed us that they would be closing early due to emergency maintenance before we got into the alley. Then closing early was not a problem at all. We were still going to have more than enough time to bowl a couple games. We sat down and pushed out service button. We waited so long that we had to put the service request waitstaff button again. After waiting long enough for our screen to stop telling them that we wanted service, twice, I went up to the counter. I was eventually told by a waitress that the people up at the counter usually tell them when people need service, and that the service button isn't for food... I know that button is in-fact for waitstaff because A) I've been here before and have requested a server with it before and B) it literally says request waitstaff on the button. After being told that the kitchen was shut down early to fix the water pressure I understood. I myself am in the food industry, and I understand that unforeseen problems arise sometimes. What I don't understand is why more than one lane had to go up to the counter and request a server. It was just really irritating to see server after server walk by the lanes, and only service a few of them. Usually we don't have a problem when we come here, but today was not the day I guess. It just sucks how something like this can ruin a whole outing. read more

We booked VIP for a party of 8 and got absolutely no service. Went to the bar and they disbelieved that my legitimate ID was real and didn't even provide a valid explanation. Don't they have a scanner to validate IDs considering how large their bar area is? A real letdown. read more

The pros: A sleek new hang out complete with bowling, movies, arcade, laser tag, bumper cars, a rock climbing wall, and a high ropes course. A great family place to have fun and to celebrate birthdays. The bar is expansive, however slow. They definitely need more bartenders. The cons: The food still needs some work. We ordered jalapeno poppers, which are more like pimento cheese balls crusted with flour, and then fried. Some of ours were slightly burned on one side. The rest of the food was fairly bland, so you might need to doctor it up with salt, pepper, or Tabasco sauce. Perhaps we ordered the wrong things. We saw some people ordering huge mounds of food which were being served on large platters. It looked yummy, but it was far more food than the two of us could ever eat. Management, you might consider making that platter in smaller portions (e.g; Serves 2-4; 4-6; 6-8; etc.) read more

The attractions were closed down and when I asked when they would be opened they gave me a time . They didn't open it till almost 40 mins after that said time . I had a card and only could use it for 2 hours and almost wasn't able to do the attraction because of it . The workers were quite rude and didn't help to get the attraction open either .
