This place always looks closed! I'm happy I stop and check, the employees are great, food is always on point, cooks are so funny, sit at their (cooks) counter it's always a good time.

The servers were accommodating when we asked to change our table that was right in front of the door when it was pretty cold outside. I was a little confused at the free salad or soup and dessert for ordering between 5-6. Our server didn't offer that to us so be sure to ask specifically.

I ordered the grilled chicken off the lunch special and was pleasantly surprised. The chicken was clearly cooked on a wood-fired grill, with a nice smoky flavor and good char. It was firm but not overcooked--still moist and juicy. The plate came with mixed vegetables (zucchini, peppers, and onions) that were well prepared, along with mashed potatoes that were done nicely. They had a rich garlic-butter flavor without being overpowering. The portion size was just right for lunch--filling without being too heavy. Overall, a solid lunch option and well executed.

Strizzi's is such a nice Italian restaurant! I lived in Fremont for over 5+ years and I never knew it was here. Such a cute vibe inside, the service is great and food even better. Definitely recommend and will be coming back.

We came here last week for my daughter's birthday. At first glance it looks like a chain restaurant, which it sort of is, with a lot of tables and bright lights and noisy. But fortunately we were seated in a more secluded area away from the main entrance. Service was good, pleasant but nothing that stood out. Maybe we were just engaged in conversation to notice. But I will say the food was delicious.! I had the Shrimp Pappardelle which was seasoned with garlic and artichokes. My daughters had the Chicken Parmesan, which was also delicious, served in a light tomato marinara with a side of Rigatoni Bolognese. For dessert we had the tiramisu and strawberry sundae. Overall it was a good experience and my daughter had a great birthday.

Food was absolutely delicious. Everyone at the table was happy with their food except they kiddo with the cheese pizza. The service was kinda bad tho. Many things were forgotten. I got up to get my own straw. It was like 30 min to order, 40 min for our food, 30 min for desert and the check. It was a nice spot to watch, it was just the service that was questionable.

Anytime I want to take an out of town guest out for a nice dinner, I come here. Not Papillon, here. The food is so good, it's like a warm, comforting hug from your grandma. And I'm a difficult client when it comes to Italian food, but this restaurant definitely meets my expectations. For example, I never order lasagna at a restaurant, but this is hands down the best lasagna I've ever ordered. The same goes for the bread pudding and Dulce de leche cake. Their warm brown sugar sauce is to die for. Every dish is made to order; handcrafted and sure to delight. So be patient when ordering. They have AMAZING weekly specials which aren't on their menu. So keep checking in on what's they're serving. One thing I wouldn't order is the burger, but that's kind of a given because this is an Italian restaurant. I also want to highlight that they have both tawny and ruby ports which is a testament to their authenticity.

Old school, old World, traditional Italian ambiance and food! You just can't beat a classic! The service is always very attentive and the food is 2nd to none! That baked lasagne is historical! Seafood is do good it'll make you wanna slap yo Mama! The clam chowder is super creamy, with good chucks of clam and potatoes! It has great seafood flavor! If you want good Italian food, you will NEVER be disappointed here! This place guarantees comfort and happiness!

I ate some already! The salmon risotto was excellent.

This place deserves more stars. I come here for special family lunches and just did a dinner with girlfriends. Honestly the ambience is really cozy and the 2-6pm specials is an excellent value! Free salad or soup and discounted dessert. The servers are always friendly. I need to come here more. The food was wonderful too. Didn't take pics of all, but sausage pasta looked good. The salmon risotto was excellent. Tiramisu was huge.

4 oz. chicken breast next to toothpicks to illustrate size

This review is isolated to a to-go order of 2 chicken breasts only...ordered as separate items without anything else. Two chicken breasts a la carte. A photo has been attached for reference, with toothpicks next to it to illustrate the size. Unfortunately, Strizzi's has had to increase the cost of their food like so many others these days. We understand. However, the cost has now forced us to stop going there as we can no longer afford it. The cost for two 4 oz. (very small) chicken breasts was $26.46. Remember, this is just for two 4 oz pieces of chicken...nothing else served with it. Sorry to see you go....

    Clam chowder

Me and my husband went for the first time. I must say I was very pleased. The food was really good, the customer service was on point. Our waitress Giuliana was so nice and very friendly. She kept checking on us and when we left and was walking out the door, she even said bye, have a nice day, and Happy Valentine's Day. I hope her boss lets her know how pleased we were!! We will be back and hope to have her...

How is the service here for a group?

How is the brunch menu and can they accommodate a group of 15-18?

I can't answer the brunch menu question, but can tell you there is plenty of room for a big party like that.

There aren't many businesses in this complex so there's always plenty of parking. I inside of the restaurant was small but had plenty of tables. It was a slow day on that weekday early dinner time. We asked to order our items for take out. We waited not too long as I remember. How was the food? Fried Calamari- for only being a couple minutes away I wonder why the calamari was already almost cold when we ate it. It was pretty disappointing. Maybe they just had it in the box while they waited for the rest of our order. I don't know. Flavor was good. Pizza Primavera - It was good, I was okay with it. The pizza dough wasn't my favorite but it was fine. White Pasta - I honestly don't remember what the name was but it was an item my bf ordered. This was terrible. Like there was too much roux to make the bechamel. It tasted of flour. Not much salt, not much of other flavors. Not enough milk and cheese and butter. He took a bite and put it down. Overall, glad we tried it but we might not be coming back. With the economy now, it's disappointing when the food is terrible for how much we pay for.

Came here on a weekday for dinner and it was mostly empty. We got the chicken parm and the margherita pizza. With the margherita pizza, the dough was obviously bought premade and frozen. It was dry and hard as expected from a premade frozen pizza dough. Not sure if the whole thing was bought frozen. There was generous amounts of cheese with one sad basil leaf of each quarter. One positive thing I can add about the pizza is that the cheese does have a satisfying flavor, giving me a nostalgic flashback to school lunch pizza. As for the pasta, the chicken has a strange taste (maybe too strong on a vodka marinade?). There was way too much sauce for the amount of pasta, and it had a very light and bright flavor, not terrible but definitely lacking depth and any nuances of aromatics or herbs. The chicken was not breaded and instead grilled. Servers were attentive, but seemed to have a lot of staff mostly standing around.

The meal came with a 4 oz NY steak, grilled shrimp skewer, mashed potatoes, and vegetables. The shrimp were nicely seasoned and cooked well, and the steak was still tender and flavorful. I ordered it medium rare and it came out a little more done than I expected--closer to medium--but it was still enjoyable and not dry. One of the biggest surprises here continues to be the complimentary sourdough bread. It's actually served fresh and hot from the oven. This time I had to wait a little because it was still baking, and my server let me know that upfront. It was worth waiting for: just the right amount of sourness, soft inside, with a thin, crisp crust instead of the overly thick, hard crust you get at a lot of restaurants. They also score the loaf before serving it, so it's very easy to pull apart. Honestly, one of the better complimentary breads I've had at a restaurant. I also tried the $9 Caramelized Pineapple Margarita. It was definitely on the sweet side, including the cinnamon rim, but it had a noticeable fresh pineapple aroma and was a fun drink for the price. What really pushed this visit to five stars, though, was the service recovery. My server had checked on me a couple of times earlier in the meal, and when I later mentioned that the steak was a little overcooked, she immediately went to get the manager. I wasn't asking for anything--I was just giving feedback. The manager came over personally, apologized, and asked if there was anything he could get me. When I couldn't think of anything, he suggested ice cream and brought me some. The steak being slightly overcooked was a small issue, but the way both the server and manager handled it was excellent. Good service isn't about everything being perfect; it's about how a restaurant responds when something isn't quite right, and they handled it exactly the way I would hope. Between the excellent value of the daily specials, genuinely good fresh-baked bread, good seafood, and attentive service, I'm very happy with this place. I'll definitely be back--next time I'm especially interested in trying their Sunday cioppino or coming during Social Hour.

The restaurant is in a place by itself, plenty of parking spaces for its capacity. It's a very nice restaurant, dated but very simple and classic. The service was extremely attentive and pleasant. The prices are quite reasonable for a French restaurant. We started with Butterfly Mai Tai and Tanqueray and tonic. My wife loved the Mai Tai and my Gin was just right. We always like Escargot and Calamari so we ordered these for appetizers. The Escargot was flavorful and tender, the best we've had so far at any restaurants. The sauce was so good that we dipped the excellent sourdough bread in it to enjoy. We were thinking we wouldn't have room for the main course LOL. The Calamari is quite delicious and tender with the sauce on its own. The portion is not big but enough for both of us. I've never had Chicken Cordon Bleu so my wife ordered this one and I tried the sea bass in miso flavor. The Chicken was a little rich for my wife so we traded our dishes. The chicken sauce is creamy with the flavor of white wine which is every flavorful, the chicken stuffed with crab meat quite tender and tasty. The sea bass for me is a little light on the miso sauce, not as flavorful as I would like but my wife liked it so that's all it mattered. We had no room for dessert, but the restaurant brought out a birthday plate with some ice cream and chocolate mouse that's very nice. My wife was thinking of taking our kids here for dinner when my daughter comes back from NY for the holidays, she loves French Duck Breast in wine sauce, not sure what my son would have but he did eat our chicken cordon bleu left over the next day and he liked it. I forgot about the French Onion Soup which will definitely try next time we're here. It was a nice dinner and especially Charlie came to our table to say hi and thank us for the business. It feels quite dated and could definitely benefit from some redecorating and updating. Given that this was a special occasion, the atmosphere didn't quite match what I was hoping for.
