    Ricotta Cheesecake

Well....i did not have a great experience at all. I will say this...I ordered this about an hour before they were closing and it was to go so there is that I guess....I got the Pasta Trio and the Ricotta Cheesecake. The pasta trio wasn't very good. The Pesto Rigatoni was tasty. I ate all that. The Fettuccine was bland and watery and the Lasagna was terrible. It and nothing inside it. Not even cheese. As for the Cheesecake, it wasn't good either. It barely had any sauce and it was burnt on top. Just look at the pictures and compare it to the ones on the website. Maybe it's better dining in.

It was not a busy Sunday evening, so it was easy to walk right in and be seated. Every time we have dined at this Tomatina location, the ambiance has been pleasant and not high noise levels at all. Humberto was our server and did an excellent job! Our order modifications were accommodated and Humberto was patient and kind. Other team members helped serve our food and take care of our requests, like extra napkins and more water. Service here has been top notch every time we have dined here. The seasonal specials sign in front of the restaurant caught our attention and influenced our order selections. I love butternut squash anything, so of course, I ordered the butternut squash ravioli. The smooth, light, and creamy, sauce melted the ravioli in my mouth and the flavors with the cranberry made salty, sour, and sweet dance on my tongue. The spinach is an excellent balance with the butternut squash and cranberries. We ordered our usual, fav meat pizza with white sauce. Their cheese and sauce are mouth watering with the super garlicky sauce, and the amount of cheese they put makes it especially scrumptious for cheese lovers like us. Humberto's description of their limited time, (with this being the last week) pumpkin cheesecake convinced us to order a slice. It was not too sweet, and not heavy like many cheesecakes are made. I scraped the decadent caramel sauce off of the plate! It was a perfect grand finale for yet another satisfying Tomatina feast.

Been here a couple times and food is pretty good, and reasonably priced. Quiet and the times I've gone not too busy which is good because service is a little slow at times. Obviously located in the Union landing shopping center so plenty of parking. I would recommend it especially if you're in to things like Italian pizza and pastas.

Oh dear, the service was laughably bad here on this most recent Thursday evening (on which each adult entree gets you a free kids entree). The restaurant was practically empty except for maybe three small sized parties including ours of two adults and two kids yet they had at least two working as wait staff, a bartender, a couple bussers, and a few in the kitchen doing prep and cooks. Operationally, you'd think they'd be serving the whole restaurant or a steady flow of takeout, but that was not the case at all. Despite being outnumbered staff to patrons, it was nearly impossible to get any proactive service from the crew. Each time we needed something (placing the order, getting new utensils, taking care of the check, or just general questions), we needed to raise our hand to flag someone down. Our waiter barely made their way around our table to check in or just be present for our needs, however, had the attentiveness to change that TV channel once the Warriors game was over. At one time, we had dropped one of our utensils and instead of someone coming to replace it immediately (mind you that it's quiet enough to hear a utensil fall) and us being too frustrated to wait for someone to come help with our hand raised, we just grabbed one from a neighboring table. Furthermore, they initially wanted to seat us at the far corner of the restaurant, the furthest from the kitchen where all the action happens. We declined and opted to be seated closer to the kitchen, yet it was still bewildering as to why they don't emphasize the open kitchen experience as I see it as a clear competitive advantage to other restaurants. Plus being closer to the kitchen probably would mean less distance for the waiting staff to travel to ensure patrons get their food fresh, provide service more proactively and encourage higher churn with quicker meal service. Fortunately the food was delicious as always and was served in presentable fashion. The chicken fettuccine alfredo was creamy and meaty - very shareable with how rich the sauce is. The caprese piadine was refreshing yet hearty with its big slabs of fresh mozzarella cheese and tomatoes. Even the kids spaghetti and meatballs and ravioli were filling enough for our little ones! Another bright spot was how well the bathroom was stocked and how clean it was aside from the blatant graffiti covering the walls. I'm not sure how Tomatina has fallen so hard from grace when it comes to service but perhaps it was just an off night or perhaps better training is in store for the staff on how better service could lead to better tips and more return visitors, both sustaining the establishment's foothold in this bustling shopping center. Overall, I am still a fan of Tomatina's food as their kitchen continues to execute flawlessly and their daily deals are still solid for dining out options, however, something needs to be done to uplift their front end staff's performance as it's severely lacking and downright atrocious - this is not a good look or representation of this city, let alone this brand.

After dining here occasionally for a few years, I must have forgotten to yelp about this place. Went here on a Saturday evening since we could not decide on what to eat. There were a few families ahead of us but we were promised a 10 minute wait time for two. Once we were seated, we ordered the garlic bread, a personal carne pizza and the Gorgonzola pear pizza which was seasonal. All three dishes were good. Pizza was cooked right and had the right amount of toppings. For dessert we ordered the tiramisu and the affogato. These were also good as well. A couple of downsides is this place is pricey and unfortunately they do not have a variety of tea options unlike some places.

First of all, this is a cozy place for a sports bar-like place with a great vibe. It is a casual place with lots of seating and a bar. When we went we had really great service. They have an actual ceramic fire pizza oven that you can watch from your seating. The food was pretty good for a fast casual place. I am unclear why they get low ratings, but we had a terrific time and the food was excellent. I was impressed with the service. It was unexpectedly awesome. Humberto got us drinks and our orders were prompt and very delicious for rhe. We will be back, for sure.

Tomatina is across from Century 25, next to Buffalo Wild Wings. Plenty of parking nearby. Outside, Inside & patio seating available. Hanging Lights & high ceiling only decor.. After entering, looked for an host, a waiter, or a bartender. Nada. Finally found bartender. Was told to sit anymore. Did. Waited. Total time for ordering: 10 minutes. Food came in 10ish minutes. Offerings: lunch menu: seasonal specials. desserts, drinks, entrees.. Bites: linguini alle Vongole (24.95) linguini with clams.. -linguini not al dente, too chewy. Bland. All the blended flavors of oregano, basil, white wine & butter was condensed at bottom of plate. "Stuff" on top- no "sauce". -small manila clams plentiful in numbers, 0 in flavor amidst the chewiness. -Calabrian sausage slices had slight spiciness, some meat flava, very salty and slight mintiness. 2.5 stars understaffing=poor service, lack of quality control = disappointing, underwhelming food...

Great food and nice service, very decent local restaurant.

Reasonably priced, with a comfortable and clean environment, and the service is quite good. I always go around noon to order the takeout shrimp Alfredo penne with extra pasta. The flavor is great, and the shrimp is very well cleaned. It's a great option for pasta lovers. Even though it's a chain restaurant, I personally recommend this one.

Spring break 2025 and today we were craving for Italian yummies. Since we were shopping around at the Union Landing shopping plaza area, we decided to try Tomatina and had a late lunch here. No wait. Quickly seated. Nice ambiance. High ceiling. Nice contemporary decor. Clean. We decided to try: House Garlic Rolls: 5/5 Comes with 4 square-shaped garlic rolls. The rolls are topped with some shredded parmasan cheese. The plate had olive oil with aregano. We loved the rolls! Fresh out of the oven, it's soft with crunch of the outside, and delicious flavor with the olive oil. Too bad they don't do refill because we would've want more! Chicken Fettuccine Alfredo: 4/5 5 for Fettuccine and Alfredo sauce. Just enough cream sauce without feeling too rich, and, al dente fettuccine. (I can't stand soft pasta.). 4 for the chicken pieces. They were a bit too salty for me.

I'm not sure why this place doesn't have great reviews, I had an amazing experience here. We came an hour and a half before closing but we were seated right away. Our servers were very nice and whenever we needed extra utensils or had any questions, they were always fast to come by. They also checked on us multiple times during our dinner. They had a big menu for us to choose from but we decided to go with the garlic rolls, pasta trio, and baked penne bolognese. We also ordered the take home pastas because they had a great deal. These tasted great even when heated at home the next day. I will definitely be coming back to try their pizza!

    Portobello Fettucine
    Reeven S.

Tomatina is a decent chain restaurant. It's like another Olive Garden sister restaurant, which I'd say is pretty equal in quality and service. With that being said, do not expect the best, most authentic Italian dishes here. The garlic rolls were pretty good. Portobello fettuccine was also just decent. It didn't really have that "kick" in its taste, but it also wasn't bland. It's perfect for those with sensitive tastebuds, but for me, it needed a bit more parmesan cheese to add a saltier flavor.

We drive past this place all the time and I somehow only registered it as a pizza shop, I didn't realize they had a whole Afghan menu. Overall, a worthy substitute, especially for the added convenience. Rating Breakdown: 1.5/2 Stars for Taste -- We ordered the potato and squash bolani. You can choose spicy or mild. Word of warning, even the mild has a slight kick and the peppers are distributed haphazardly throughout. I gave my kid a bite after taste-testing for spice and she started shrieking. My bite was non-spicy...hers was not. We ended up doing visual inspections inside each piece just in case to look for the telltale red flakes. My favorite was the squash because of the hint of sweetness, my sister still loves the classic potato. I wish the outside was crispier, but my order was takeout and I'm not sure how long it sat in the pizza box for. I also read in other reviews you can order extra crispy so I might try that next time. The green sauce the bolani came with is spicier and more watery than De Afghanan. We also ordered the chapli and beef tikka kabob. The chapli was our favorite --the patties were huge! The beef tikka kabob had a slightly offputting mushy texture in the middle, but the flavor and char were overall good. You can choose between brown and white rice and I opted for brown because the server told me it was more popular. The rice is perfectly seasoned, much more evenly spiced than what they serve at De Afghanan. My favorite order of the night though was the eggplant borani. SO good. I could eat a bucket of it. 1/1 Stars for Value -- It was $13 and $14 for normal and squash bolani, respectively. The kebab platters were a little shy of $20 and the boxes were generously packed. It was $10 for the eggplant appetizer, although next time I might splurge $3 more to get it as a platter with rice. 1/1 Stars for Customer Service - I called the order in instead of ordering online and they charged us the in-store price, which is nice. The website prices were on average $3-4 higher. Bonus star because I'll definitely be back for that eggplant. I'm also interested in trying their Afghan breakfast. I'm very sad that they no longer sell sabzi since that is one of my all time faves.

Second visit happened to be later in the afternoon, about 2pm. I got two slices of pizza, pepperoni and mushroom. Their slices are the New York style, although the crust is a bit more dense than traditional NY style, but I liked the flavor enough to overlook that. The price is quite reasonable too. They also advertise smashburgers on their signage, so I didn't feel like it would be proper to not also get one of those as well on my third visit. The live music and improvisation definitely made for a great vibe, and the restaurant itself has ample seating. However, while the atmosphere was a hit, the food left a bit to be desired for the price. The ordering process is straightforward. You order at the counter, pay, and take a buzzer to your table until your food is ready for pickup. Here is what we ordered: Chicken Fajitas Pizza (14 inch Sourdough Crust) This is a thin crust pizza featuring chicken, baby heirloom tomatoes, chile pasilla, red onions, and mozzarella, topped with cilantro. The housemade sourdough crust was nice, and the heirloom tomatoes tasted very fresh. Unfortunately, the chicken and toppings felt very sparse. It ended up feeling mostly like a cheese pizza. Given that this is priced as a premium pizza rather than standard fast food, I expected a lot more toppings. Sweet and Fire Wings (Flavor Number 2) The portion size was good, and the sauce definitely brought a nice kick of heat. This comes with ranch sauce. However, most of the chicken pieces were on the dry side. They were just alright, and I probably would not order them again. The Highlights and Extra Details Self-Serve Sauces: They have housemade sauces available for self-service. We tried the cilantro sauce and the orange sauce. The cilantro sauce was excellent and paired really well with both the pizza and the wings. Drinks: They have a selection of draft beers available if you want a drink with your meal. Parking: Finding a spot is very easy since there are plenty of parking spaces around the building. Bottom Line: A big shoutout to the musician who brought us through the door. While the music and atmosphere were wonderful, the food itself did not quite feel worth the money due to the dry wings and sparse toppings on the pizza.

The restaurant was busier than I thought for 2:30 on a Wednesday but the service was quick and sweet; they made me and my boy feel right at home going out of their way to offer all the toddler dine-in must haves (separate little plate, water with a lid and straw, & friendly interactions) We ordered a slice each that was hot and ready in about 10 minutes. For a picky toddler, even with pizza, my son happily ate his slice of cheese pizza while I scarfed down my slice of bbq chicken pizza. 10/10 in regards to crust, sauce, and toppings. Slices are HUGE even for adults. We both waddled out of there with smiles and full bellies!

Today's Chuck Wagon slice was cut in their normal way, but only 2 pieces had toppings on it. The other pieces were mostly dough - not even any cheese or sauce. I felt like I got a couple pieces and the rest was flour-y breadsticks. I ordered 2 pizzas and both were the same. Not too happy about it.

I recommend if you're a pizza fan to try their style of pies. YES, I know there's a lot to choose from but in Fremont I consider this place a solid spot. This pizzeria has been here in our city for years and the pies are delicious. Slices are never cold, always loaded, and many types of pizza toppings to choose from. If you're looking for a homey local spot, check this place out. If you want something luxuriously, modern and fusion, this place isn't for you as it's more classic in my view. There's ample seating in the restaurant for work get-to-togethers or friends catching up over a shared pie. Their selection of beers isn't bad either! Hope you give them a chance.

We are glad we gave it a try. Great service, friendly staff, and tasty pizza! Loved the arcade games and tv's to watch sports. It definitely gives you a late 80's or 90's vibe and I loved it. The pizza: it was good and I really liked their crust. My husband had the pepperoni and enjoyed it. I had some sausage and onion and it was tasty. My son had the cheese and he liked it. We also tried their garlic cheese bread which came with ranch. It was pretty good. Being from the Midwest, I loved the ranch they served with it. If I am in this area again I will definitely be back.
