THE BEST. SO GOOD! Nothing beats Strollo's after a super hot day on the beach (or any day really). I was so happy that I discovered this place through Yelp a few years ago and have been coming regularly ever since! This "Italian" ice is served almost like soft-serve ice cream, which makes for a more creamy texture. I definitely prefer it over the traditional scooped Italian ice, which can be a little too icy/flaky. If you order the ice, you can put a couple different flavors in one cup. (I'm not sure if there is a limit on how many.) Personally, I like to have the traditional red/white/blue ice, which is red raspberry/blue raspberry/lemon. The small size cup is a pretty good serving, since the ice itself stands up pretty tall from the top of the dish. The only complaint I have is that the flavors are only listed on a board inside the facility. You have to peer inside the window to view the flavors for that particular day. It can be kind of frustrating because you can't always see the flavors from the back of the line. This would easily be solved by having a sign outside showing the flavors. read more

Wow, I was told I was getting Italian ice, which I did, but it's just nothing I ever expected. Wonderfully creamy, if that's what Italian ice can be, and just glorious after a day in the sun. I lucked out and got here when there wasn't a line out the door but it's so worth it! So much delicious. Can get up to four flavors; I got cappuccino and pistachio which were wonders. I also tried my boyfriend's mango (which was practically like eating a perfect icy mango), passion fruit, and lemon. Can't wait to try the rest of the flavors, so amazing!! read more

Creative, unique...Strollo's. There is nothing to compare Strollo's to as they have truly created their own ice cream / italian ice experience. Strollo's is the best way to begin to rehydrate after a relaxing day at the beach. My favorite flavors are... ALL the flavors. If I had to choose- I love mango, chocolate, cherry, pistachio. All are delicious. It hard to explain why Strollo's stands out but the italian ice is somehow a blend between ice cream and italian ice and it simply works. It is my summer time craving and I am looking forward to indulging it over and over again this summer! read more

After dinner we decided to get some ice cream nearby. We walked in and stood near the back so we could read the menu. A young lady asked us what we wanted, and we told her we wanted to read the menu first. She looked annoyed and asked again so we started ordering. To be honest we didn't know exactly what we wanted because we felt rushed to order, but it was definitely less than 30 seconds. Next to her was an older man who also seemed annoyed at us and they were rolling their eyes and making fun of us while we were ordering. We were so surprised that we almost couldn't believe an employee of the business would disrespect their customers in their face. It was very rude. Overall the service was so atrocious we will not be returning to support such a careless business. They definitely need training in customer service. Every customer matters. read more

The absolute best!! Strollos is a town/summer staple for all these years for a reason. The ices are the best taste and texture you'll ever have, the prices are right, the ice cream is delicious, and the owner is an absolute gem, what a sweet guy. Unreal. I have been going down the shore for 15 years and never knew this place existed. I will be there every time I go down from now on. We had the Vanilla, Root Beer, Chocolate & Cherry. All were amazing. Sometimes with ice, you lose flavor. Not these. The cherry could NOT have been more cherry. I am still thinking about it. The consistency is unlink any other Italian Ice I have had whether it was in NYC, Philly or down the shore. THIS place is worth visiting if you are in any New Jersey Shore town between Garden State Mile Markers 98-102. It would be nice if there was a menu outside though. You have to kind of crane your neck through the window and look past the employees to see the flavors of the day. read more

The best Italian Ice you'll get around monmouth county. Fuck Ralph's. Fuck Rita's. Fucking bullshit Italian ice places. Strollo's is the best. THE FUCKING BEST! As a kid my favorite order was the Red, White, Blue mix. That's cherry, lemon, and Blue Raspberry. I was very patriotic back then. Now the best thing to get is Rootbeer Ice and Vanilla Ice cream. You get a rootbeer float without being ridiculous and ordering one. One thing that bothers me though. Why the hell is this location reviewed but not the original in Long Branch? You know what? Yep, I'm gonna jump right in with everyone else and give Strollo's 5 stars. It is THE best summer treat in Monmouth County. They have ices and ice cream - but, I promise, their ices are like nothing you've ever tried before. Super creamy and rich, but still light and refreshing. It's so hard describe, you really just have to try for yourself. I like the peanut butter ice, or mixing root beer ice and vanilla ice. The rest of my fam likes to do root beer ice with soft-serve vanilla ice cream so it's a kind of root beer float. I basically spend all winter looking forward to summer so I can go to Strollo's! read more

Yummy and refreshing! Their italian ice is light and refreshing. The dairy ones are creamy and so different from what I expect italian ice to be. All their ices are served like soft-serve with the swirl. They are a cash only business so come prepared! I usually get passion fruit and vanilla ice, or PB ice (so so good) with chocolate soft serve. You can't go wrong with any of the flavors though. They're all delish. Went here after dinner at Klein's. At least the evening wasn't a total loss. This place is right down the street from Klein's. You could see that Strollo's was a popular destination because of the crowd both waiting to be serves as well as the people enjoying their ice cream or Italian ice at one of the 4/5 tables on the grounds. There were two windows where customers were served. Both lines moved quickly. There was hard ice cream, soft ice cream and Italian ice. Fudge sundaes were also available. I ordered a small mint chip chocolate cone which was a good sized serving. It was also very good. On this night there was a young man playing guitar there. He sang some current music as well as some Bob Dylan. The crowd was appreciative of his music and showed some love with money left in his guitar case. read more

Open late, lines move fast, service is friendly, owner makes himself accessible to his customers and the prices are beyond fair. If you come to the shore in the summer this is a must. read more

I'm not very adventurous so I get treated same each time... Cherry, lemon and blue raspberry. I only like the fruity flavors but they do also have flavors like chocolate, coffee, and peanut butter. When you get a cup you can get up to four different flavors! They also have ice cream but I have never tried their ice cream. This place is known more for their ice!!! Unfortunately he can't stay past sundown, though, because he's only allowed to get "a little bit of Mary all night long." Since very few people are actually named Mary these days, you now know why it's very hard for Lou Bega ever not to spend the night alone. Poor guy. But he has plenty of fun during the daytimes. Beyond sundown is when I first came to this particular Rita's. It was in July 2014. I was with a very good looking girl from Texas who had - gasp - never had Rita's before. The employees here were lovely, and so was my company. She absolutely loved the product and I (as always) did too. I'll tell you what we got a little bit later but first a bit on the customer service. A lot of the local branches (Long Branches, lol) were closing early, but this one was open late. An hour later than everyone else, and we arrived with literally 5 mins til closing time. Most of the time this ends in tragedy as "machines are off" and "we're closing up", but at this location, they were super nice about it and served us! Massive kudos because we'd have been disappointed to miss out on Rita's. It makes sense she'd never been because for the most part, Rita's is a North-Eastern thing. We don't have any in Buffalo (sob). There is one in Rochester, which I think I might go and visit today actually. And then there are many in the NY-NJ-Philly-Delaware area. I've seen one in Columbus. I heard from a good Yelp friend in Phoenix (Susan) that there's one down there too. I think they're popping up all over the place now and becoming a national franchise. It's not expansion, it's just that they'll sell the rights to a franchise to anyone who wants one. And the product is so damn ridiculously good that it makes total sense. If you get the chance to give one a try, make sure you do. Now you know I don't like chains, but Cook Out (Carolinas), Handels (PA-OH) and Rita's are three very definitive exceptions which make products so good, they make your mother cry. No literally, she cries at how fat you got from eating at Rita's too much. What we ordered is the same thing that you should order. A Gelati, with cherry water ice and vanilla custard. Now all of the water ice is great and all of the custards are yummy. But this particular combo is the winner. What you need to get when you come to Rita's is a Gelati with Cherry Ice and Vanilla Custard. Mixing water ice with custard sounds like a horrible idea. It's not. Come and get it and we'll talk later. Seriously, I never thought I'd enjoy mixing custard with water ice until the guy in Delaware (gasp gasp gasp gasp) told me to try it. And my goodness did I love it. This Gelati will make you come... back for more. The Jersey Shore is full of stuff that will make you come... back for more. Just ask Snooki and J-Woww and their ex-boyfriend Garland. They'll all tell you what's up. I like to name drop Garland because he's one of the very few people that actually reads all my reviews. Are you someone who actually reads my reviews? If so, message me, I'd love to hear from you. I might start name-dropping you too (but only if you don't want me to). So. Gelati with Cherry. Just pop that cherry... pop the cherry... pop the cherry (sorry I have a stammering problem) right into your mouth and enjoy the amazing taste. It's probably good with other flavours of water ice too, but I first had it with Gelati, and when I had it with the Lemon Ice (which is very popular and they often sell out of it), it wasn't as good. With the Swedish Fish though, it was very very good. I do love the Lemon Ice though, and the Green Apple Ice too. If you're not in the mood for custard, the ice is wonderful by itself and has bits of fruit in it. If you're not in the mood for water ice, then the custard alone is lovely. And remember, you're in the Jersey Shore. So enjoy that ice, act Italian-American, and start some drama with someone. Anyone. You can even start drama with one of my cats if you want. But they have not been de-clawed and will not be de-clawed so if they scratch you, it scars. I know this from personal experience. I'm always like... "don't scratch me......ow!"

This the only place I can remember having breadsticks during dinner and loved it. For dinner I had stuffed flounder with rice and vegetables. The fish was prepared real well and came with plenty of crabmeat and stuffing. Inside it was real moist and tasted great. Along with that was rice and mixed vegetables. In the restaraunt the vegetables were a bit harder then I would prefer but when I reheated the meal at home they were perfect. But if you you are an al dente vegetable they would be fine for you. My wife picked something off the specials of the day. Shrimp, Mahi, broccoli, mushrooms, pine nuts all over rice. She felt this was a great meal and would definitely get it again. It was a nice blend of a bunch of tastes and textures, and the pine nuts are always a great addition to a meal. A bar in the front room and a bar in the back room. A small 21+ lounge with couches in the front, and a giant 21+ "sports zone" with three giant TV's in the back. Three coolers for beer to go. A large merch area. High top tables. Regular tables. Immaculate bathrooms. This place has it all. My girlfriend and I came out on a Saturday afternoon when the place was packed with families and their kids. There was a toddler in the small 21+ lounge and a baby in the sports zone, and only two people pouring beers so they were unable to notice and do anything about it. We don't mind kids in breweries but be advised if that isn't your thing. To the beer: according to their website, they specialize in hoppy beers. There were 13 beers on tap (with some being slight variations of each other). One lager, four stouts, and the rest IPAs. They don't do flights but will pour you two sample sizes at a time, and you'll need those sample sizes for most beers because the ABV will knock you off your feet. I love IPAs and I can easily say they knocked these out of the park. The standout to me was the Birdie Putt, which they didn't have available in cans to go, so we got a four pack of the Ground Rule Triple instead. Founder Jeff Baker spent years honing his brewing skills in his garage before opening the brewery in 2023, and his dedication and passion really show in all of the beers. We live over an hour away, but we will definitely make the pilgrimage back sometime soon.

To top it all off the staff gets paid a proper wage so tipping is optional (huge props to the ownership for this!). When we arrived at the three-story space, we immediately headed up to the rooftop first. The top floor was open to the elements and overlooked a strip mall just below, but with a further gaze, we were able to see the Shark River. There was a bar and a few tables, as well as a lounge area with couches and cushioned armchairs, which we were thankfully able to snag. The layout was fun and allowed us to converse with other patrons sitting across the coffee table from us. The one thing I did not love about the roof, however, was that it functioned as almost an entirely different venue. Meaning that they had only a few small plates for food options and very few beers on tap. They did not even offer flights, but focused mainly on cocktails. Fine, I had a mixed drink with mezcal, Aperol, and watermelon, which was an excellent smoky and sweet margarita, but I had wanted to sample their beers since it was a brewery. After our initial round of drinks, we decided to head down to the second floor, rustic taproom to sample more of their menu. The place was packed with diners, but, since we did not have a reservation, we were nervous that we would not receive a table. Thankfully, two seats opened at the bar, so we grabbed those. Unfortunately, by that point, I did not want to drink anymore, so I did not get to try their beers (except a sip of the Swell, which was a bit too hoppy of a hazy IPA for my liking), but I was hungry enough to get a dinner entree. The friendly bartender took our order and ensured all of our customizations were noted, but the food still wound up awful. I had selected the Tzatziki Salmon with the yogurt sauce on the side. The fish was cooked well, but way too heavily salted. It was served with orzo that was overcooked, dry, bland, and stuck together in clumps. I was shocked they even served something that looked so unappetizing. There were also a bunch of roasted brussels sprouts that had a funny flavor and appeared to have been previously frozen. Then, when I thought it could not get any worse, the tzatziki seemed curdled, so I was glad that I had ordered it on the side. My partner's burger came with a single piece of bacon that was all fat and not even remotely crispy. While the food was terrible, the service was nice, and I really enjoyed my cocktail and the vibe at the Beach Haus Brewery, so I decided to give it 3 stars, but I am clearly being generous.
