I went to college in Syracuse where Strong Hearts originated, so I was excited to see they expanded to Buffalo! Their space is beautiful, bright, and colorful. Orders are placed at a counter, then your name is called when your food is ready. Our food came out in less than 15 minutes. My Thai tofu salad was flavorful and filling. The spiced Thai cashews were a great addition.I just wish the greens were smaller or chopped, I had to take some BIG bites. Only one of the four of us who went it fully Vegan, but Strong Hearts has a diverse menu! If you're someone who doesn't like to eat imitation meat or cheese there are other options, such as tofu or a sweet potato burger. Strong Hearts also has a wheelchair lift and gender-neutral bathrooms (labeled in English and Spanish).

I offered to take my niece on a college visit in Buffalo and we decided to eat at Strong Hearts in Buffalo. The menu was nearly identical to the Syracuse location (which I frequent regularly). The seating area was cute and it was easy to get to from SUNY Buffalo State. The service was good and fast there were several other groups ordering and eating lunch around the same time. I deducted one star for the bread on the chicken parm sandwich is not nearly as good at this location! The other ingredients were good and nearly identical to the Syracuse SH version of this. My niece had the ciabatta BLT which she said was good and the bacon tasted real The apple cider milkshake was delicious as always. Thank you!

Visiting from Charlotte and was hunting for vegan cafe and tried this, it was AMAZING - the food, the vibe, the service. Tried the cheesecake, strawberry and chocolate cupcake, vanilla iced latte and everything was more than what I expected. Definitely definitely recommend this place to all

Good vegan flavors and textures. Creative menu items. Quesadilla lack of filling was disappointing & price quite high for the few ounces of filling but taste & texture was really good! Protein drink was nearly $8 & didn't list any macros but tasted good.

Absolutely not. I order the peanut butter chocolate cheesecake. Uhmm no! Just no. It looked very pretty. I don't know but I would like to if they make these cheesecake in house. Anyway, all I can actually taste is oil. I tried the cheesecake three separate times. Each time the same nasty taste.i expected peanut butter but there was none. I don't know what that was but it was pretty bad and left an unruly aftertaste.

Again another amazing lunch, 1 of my favorite places in buffalo, consistent every time. I can't get enough of their food! Good healthy vegan food that's more than just 'lettuce and mushrooms'. This place is next level and very inventive with their food.

Strong Hearts is a top choice for vegan options here in Buffalo. One of my main struggles with most places that offer a vegan option is it is often just a Beyond Burger, or a salad (but hold the cheese!) - nothing that really offers creative ways to use vegetables or other plant based options. Strong Hearts does all of the above - creative alternatives, creative salads, plant based meat substitutes, and even vegan shakes and smoothies. Prices are reasonable, which is a huge bonus since so many places upcharge for vegan when by all accounts it should be less expensive, right? The environment is very welcoming, with a friendly, courteous staff every time we're in; couldn't ask for better in those regards. But wait! There's more! Their selections of vegan baked goods are out of this world! With an ever changing, wide variety of vegan cupcakes and pastries, there is absolutely something to satisfy every sweet tooth, and I dare you to tell me you can tell that they're vegan! In conclusion, you should have read everything above, but go there and make your own judgement. I will absolutely be looking forward to my next visit.

Consistently impressed by this place. Most recently I had the ciabatta blt (vegan ofc) and the macaroni salad. Took home the hot cocoa cupcake. Everything was SO. GOOD. Super friendly and knowledgeable staff too.

Sooo let's just say I had no idea I lived a hop and a skip from this gem!! A friend treated me to lunch here. We ordered her fav from the menu, the Buffalo Mac N Cheese, completely vegan I might add in case you don't know this place was a vegan castle. I also ordered the strawberry banana smoothie. My tribe for both items, absolutely delicious. I literally can't wait to get back in there! The inside is so cute and well decorated. Perfect for a lunch date or a work session.

The deserts were yummy! I ordered a strawberry banana smoothie, so good! I also got a a lavender lemon cupcake "delicious" & peanut butter & jelly cheesecake. The best part dairy-free. The service was fast we ordered to go. I love the ambiance, the menu was on a screen and if you're sitting in you can get a paper menu. The decor beautiful. I can't wait to go back to enjoy the food!

Truly Syracuse's greatest export--so grateful we have this gem in Buffalo now. The very Buffalo flavored menu is fun, with "beef" on weck and "chicken" wings, but I can never turn down the Sweet Sassy Molassy sandwich. With a chocolate peanut butter banana shake, of course. Even if you're not vegan, you'll find something to love and will not miss the meat.

    Rueben, chicken parm, and nachos!

Two of us ordered a different pasta dish and they were great. One of us ordered a sandwich and it was phenomenal. Excellent cannoli and espresso. Lots of products from Italy to buy, and we bought some dried pasta, extra virgin olive oil, and balsamic vinegar. A great choice for a delicious lunch. The decor is very cool.

From 2020 on we used to get food, snacks, beer and other stuff here very regularly...like three times a day sometimes. We got dinner from here at least three times a week and we loved it. At some point a new owner took over and a lot things went downhill. We eventually had to stop going there all together because of all the mistakes and lack of accountability. We recently tried them again and was happy with the food. Well, that was short lived. The last three times we've placed an order online it hasn't even been started by the time they said it would be ready and we have to wait. In addition to that, it has been totally wrong with missing items each time. It happened again this morning, our order was missing two orders of hash browns. I called the listed number in an attempt to get a refund (because this is the third time and it's adding up) and it's off the hook, busy signal. This isn't new. The kitchen literally takes the phone receiver off the cradle so that they won't receive phone orders. My husband has witnessed it in person. Apparently they don't want to cook. Since the renovation the phone is digital, but they still turn it off. This has been happening since the new owner took over and he won't do anything about it. This is strange to me. Doesn't he want business? Anyways, sorry for the long review. We can't get food here anymore (again) because times are rough (again again) and I'm not going to buy from a shop that won't refund for wrongly prepared or even completely missing items. Bye Elmwood Market (AGAIN, out of chances)!

Bagel breakfast sandwich also disappointing. Only the sesame seeds seems to been able to cling onto my everything bagel (very scan onion/poppy/garlic) on the sandwich. At least they didn't overload it with bacon (sarcasm), the bacon was also rather mundane. They do have some intriguing vegan options and a good menu. Also a bit on the pricey side, 950 for a bagel bacon/egg/cheese. If I lived right near by, I would probably pony up here often as the inside has comfy seating, good wifi. There was a crisp to the exterior, but the interior had a tender and chewy texture. It was literally the perfect bagel. Every other bagel I've ever eaten pales in comparison to this one. I don't know if I'll ever be able to eat a supermarket bagel again. So Public Espresso has ruined me for all other bagels, but maybe that's a good thing considering my doughy, round body...
