After other plumbing companies did not answer my call or did not show up, the owner of Strongheart took my non-urgent issue right away within a day or two notice. Turns out we had worse going on behind the walls, and when a later problem became urgent, someone was there for us right away, including an additional urgent quick fix on a weekend outside of business hours. It seems I am the fourth reviewer that had a no-call no show problem. I was reluctant to contact after seeing the previous reviews of the no-call no show problem, however they were recommended by a friend, and I saw they had said in May that a new system was getting put in place in order to not have this situation occur again. I have had nothing but problems with my shower, the water pressure was low and it seemed that my tile was springing leaks and growing mold. Basically it was a disaster. I had called around to multiple places for estimates, but all were just not in my budget and I was so nervous to go with the wrong company and get jerked around. Finally a friend referred me to Tyler at Strongheart Plumbing and I thought, why not, so I gave him a call. He was so incredibly friendly on the phone and gave me an estimate that undercut the other places I had tried, plus I felt better knowing he was personally referred to me. He came out the very next day and accessed the situation. The pipes in the wall were leaking causing all of my problems. He said he just needed to get some parts and that he could get to work right away. It was quite a job, but now my shower is like new! He even gave me a great deal on fixing the wall and replacing the tile work. I can't thank him enough. looking for a plumber to re route lines for a old water heater to a new one in a new location. All the bids were so high, I finally found tyler at SP...called him a few times, asked him 50 questions, and he was PDP (pretty dam patient!!) so, he came out and looked at the job, and quoted me a few days later. I was going to go with another company but wanted to give him a shot since he was so patient on the phone and on site. His price was very good and it seems like the work he and his assistant did was up to par. Its only been a couple days, but I think he did a great job and I will refer him business when I can. Despite my best plunging efforts, I couldn't fix it and called strongheart plumbing. Of course, as luck would have it by the time he came out the problem had magically fixed itself. Tyler was very helpful and gave me advice on how to prevent the issue in the future. He could have done work I didn't need and charged me - I wouldn't have known the difference. But, he didn't. My wife and I had one bath that would not spit out hot water and another that incessantly leaked. We called a plumber that was recommended by our condominium community but that plumber got backed up with work and couldn't come. It was late on a Sunday (4pm-ish) and we really needed a plumber to come in to fix our issue since we had family coming by the following week. I got online and searched and found Strongheart Plumbing and saw the great things that were said about Tyler and his work and professionalism. I decided that I had read enough and gave him a call. He picked up immediately and listened to my concerns. Within two hours he was at my front door. He came in and took a look at the issue. He realized that it was an issue that would require him to get parts from the warehouse (especially since our faucets were ones that are 20 years old). He left our place and assured us that he would return the following day with the parts to fix our issues. He was able to get the parts that night and showed up the following day at lunch. He got right to work, fixing both issues in a matter of about 40 minutes and before my lunch break from work was over, the job was complete and he was out the door AT A VERY VERY REASONABLE PRICE!!!!! Additionally, he has a credit card swipe on his phone so if you don't have cash it's no big deal (great for convenience sake). I recommend Tyler and Strongheart plumbing for any issues that you may have. He is extremely professional, very reasonably priced and a great guy to boot. Strongheart Plumbing has helped me on 2 occasions. Tyler came to my house both time. His work is great, he is clean and friendly, and his prices are reasonable. The reason for the 3 star review: They're 1/3 on timeliness and/or follow up. The first time I used them, showed up on time, did the work while I wasn't home, and emailed me an invoice. The second time I used them, they showed up several hours late due to a different plumbing emergency elsewhere. The third time...I tried calling on three occasions to set up an estimate for a tankless water heater installation and they never got back to me. I would recommend them for small jobs and quick emergency fixes...but I can't really say I would recommend them for major jobs...because they never gave me a chance. read more

I was very pleased with the work that Tyler at Strongheart performed. My wife and I recently bought a condo in Little Italy. As we were renovating the interior, I decided to move the refrigerator (in order to better paint the kitchen). Being conscientious (and generally risk adverse) I thought it was a good idea to turn off the water shut off valve that fed the ice maker. Apparently, this valve had never been touched in the ten years since the building was built, because rather than shutting off any water flow through the valve, water began to pour through the handle. I was able to fiddle with the handle enough to get the water leak down to a slow drip, but I needed a plumber to come out as soon as possible to replace the valve. Inspecting the rest of the water valves in my condo, I also discovered that they were all of a similar style. I began to call all of the plumbers with reasonable reviews here on Yelp, looking for quotes to replace a total of 6 shut off valves with a newer and more robust ball valve. What I received from Tyler, as compared to a lot of other well reviewed plumbers here on Yelp, was a prompt response to my needed repairs and a reasonable & fair quotation. Importantly, as this unit shares its water supply with many other units, the water shut-off had to be coordinated with my HOA - meaning that there was a very tight window within which I needed a plumber to show up and perform the work. Kyle arrived exactly on time, quickly replaced the faulty valve, along with all of the other valves that I was concerned about. When I called Strongheart and made an appointment for an estimate; not only did Tyler (owner) show up but called and asked if he could come over earlier. Needless to say his estimate was extremely reasonable. Not only did it include repiping, but also the drywall repair, not many Plumbers will redo drywall after they cut into it. After agreeing to the estimate, Tyler and crew (Jeff and Dan) came the next morning and started; and did not leave until I had hot running water that night. So, thankful. Today, we had a leak in our front yard coming from our main waterline. After digging a three foot hole to the leaking pipe, I called one of Tyler's many competitors and asked that they take a look at the leaking pipe and give me an estimate for the repair. An employee of this other company came out and gave me an estimate for the repair and told me there was no guarantee that the repair would work. After hearing the estimated amount for the repair (which was insanely high) and peeling myself off the ceiling, I told the employee that I would call around for another estimate and not to do any work unless and until I authorized it. I immediately went to Yelp to find a plumber where I found Strongheart and Tyler. I noted that Strongheart had a five-star rating and all of the reviews were extremely positive. So, I called Tyler. Fortunately, Tyler was going to be in the area and came by within 30 minutes. He looked at the leaking pipe, said it would be a relatively easy repair, and gave me an estimate that was half of what the other company was quoting. Tyler promised to come by at around 6:00 P.M. that same evening after finishing a repair at another house. True to his word, Tyler came by that evening with one of his employees and completed the repair shortly before sundown. In summary, I was thoroughly impressed with Tyler. He was personable, His quote to repair the leak was very reasonable, and he honored his commitment to complete the repair that same day. A few months ago, I would have given 6 stars. Tyler replaced my water heater at a good price. He was knowledgeable and professional. I thought I'd found my plumber for life. Then this past Christmas I had a broken toilet and family coming to stay with me. I had to call several times to get an answer, but when I did, he came out the next day and had it fixed. But since then, I left about 20 messages for a problem he had looked at and said he could fix. After 4 weeks without even a return call, I gave up and called someone else. I would stay clear of Strongheart Plumbing. I had a mystery leak in my bathroom and called Tyler and set up an appt the next day expecting Tyler to be the one as the reviews on him were decent. Unfortunately, someone else showed up that was clearly inexperienced and ended up cutting 3 holes in my walls and never did find the leak. (It ended up being simply the toilet wax ring that was leaking which was easily found by Master Plumbing and leak detection the next day) Unfortunately, Strongheart left me with 3 holes that now need to be repaired. The oddest part was the guy who showed up, while very nice and polite kept needing to call Tyler with questions but couldn't even speak to him live. He had to use some odd phone messaging app saying Tylers phone wasn't working. All in all, a simple repair has turned into a huge nightmare. I prefer to only write good reviews on Yelp, but this was a case I felt I needed to warn anyone blindly shopping for a plumber as I was, to try someone else besides Strongheart. read more

I called Strongheart because a friend of mine recommended them. She said they had good prices and did a nice job redirecting some water pipes so she could have a sink in her island and also redoing her main sink. Anyway, I called and Tyler was very personable on the phone and had a reasonable quote. I gave them a shot and they were timely and honored their quote with no "extras" at the end of the job. They did a great job redoing the plumbing for my new dishwasher and I'm very happy. As a bonus, I asked the guy about how come my shower head had such low pressure and he was cool enough to swap it out with a new shower head. Said mine was just old and sure enough the new one feels like much more pressure. I'd use these guys again for sure. Oh and extra nice - they cleaned up their mess!
