My request went through the Yelp Project page first and Jose was very fast with his response. He told me I could come in on a Friday morning as a walk in. Gino who took care of my intake was very friendly and made me feel welcome. They also had a comfy waiting area stocked with complimentary coffee and snacks, but I didn't need to wait long because I was out of there within an hour, oil changed and tires rotated. Their prices are fair and they accept both credit card and cash/Zelle (if you want to avoid the 3% credit card surcharge). During the oil change they also noted some things that will need repair, but weren't pushy with their recommendations. For that I am very appreciative, and will most definitely come back for their continued services.

I think they try to charge more because they use high tech diagnostic equipment which is great for major issues but for simple things I was displeased to get upsold when my almost new car is in great condition..... He is Neel the owner (as you might've guessed) of this establishment on Imperial Hwy, which is thankfully not too far from us. He diagnoses quickly, gets the job done efficiently, charges reasonably compared to other mechanics we've gone to in the area, and above all is a man of integrity--he's allowed us to pay for certain repairs days later to make sure our car is running properly first. He is transparent about his shop's limitations (they don't do German cars but refer us to highly rated shops nearby). He is clearly very experienced and knows how to weigh the best repair options, especially for older vehicles. I plan on relying on Neel for years to come. Cheers!

The check engine light and several other lights came on. They disappeared after I stopped and restarted my car but I was frantic and didn't know what to do. When I called Frank's shop, he asked where I was and said I could stop by and they could do a quick diagnostic just to set my mind at ease before the weekend. Keep in mind this was just over an hour before they closed. Within half an hour, the problem had been diagnosed and fixed, and I was on my way. I was hoping it just needed a Freon recharge. After checking the A/C system, Frank confirmed that the Freon was just low and everything else looked good. Luckily, her older car uses the newer, less expensive Freon. I just hung out while he recharged the system, and it was ready to go about 20 minutes later. The cost was only $150, money well spent to get ice cold air conditioning back. The most recent visit was to troubleshoot a service error code and ABS and brake warning lights. I was hoping this would just be a sensor on one of the wheels, but Frank said it looked like the main ABS ECU unit was faulty. Given the potential cost of the repair, it didn't make sense given the value of the car. I appreciated his honest opinion. He said there was no charge, but I still tipped him for his time because he always takes great care of me. I have tried a few other shops in the area over the years, and had initial good experiences. However, they all eventually gave me an estimate I knew as wrong, or didn't do work they said they did. I've been going to Frank ever since, and trust him 100%. If you need a top notch mechanic, Frank is your guy!

They took the time to explain the repair, confirmed the diagnostic code, and even pointed out a few things I should do to help my Prius last longer. They noticed my hybrid battery cooling fan was missing after I told them I just had it "replaced" at another shop. That's the kind of information you don't usually get from a repair shop. They ended up not needing to drop the subframe, so they adjusted the labor instead of charging me for work they didn't have to do. It still took the amount of time they said it was going to take, but still discounted me a little bit which I thought was cool. I also had them do an oil change while it was there, and even that was less expensive than what I normally pay at places like Jiffy Lube or Valvoline. If you own a Prius or any hybrid, I'd definitely recommend checking them out. More than anything, I left feeling like they genuinely know these cars and took the time to educate me, not just fix it. I'll definitely be bringing my Prius back if I ever need anything else.
