I visited Stuart Cinema & Cafe on Valentine's Day, when they hosted a brunch alongside a screening of Solo Mio. The brunch featured American-style comfort food, and overall it was a pleasant experience. The movie presentation and theater quality were solid, and the space itself is very intimate, with a small screen that makes the screening feel cozy and personal. The food tasted homemade -- like something you'd prepare in your own kitchen with a frozen hamburger out of a bag-- which makes sense given that the venue appears to operate with a small cooking station rather than a full kitchen. Prices were reasonable; for example, bottled water was about $2, which is cheaper than what you'd typically pay at a large movie theater. The service was pretty quick given that the theater was almost full to capacity it holds about 25 people so give or take it's adequate service. They know how to handle stress. read more

You come for the small town vibe, countless food options, and to support small business. I say small town vibe because there's only one room and maybe two bathroom stalls. I haven't been here recently, but the same person who took my order (cupcake & beer) was also the same person who checked tickets and let us into the theatre. They may have been short staffed that day, but he handled it really well- not impatient, explaining and laughing through it all. They also had hot foods like empanadas (ok- real food). A small Theater in Williamsburg, but aren't most Theaters small now. It was clean. There is a small café with a nice variety of snacks and appetizer like food such as spicy sausages, empanada, fries and cake as well as the regular junk food snacks. Also serves drinks, soda, wine, beer and shots. The food, snacks and drinks are reasonably priced. The staff is very welcoming, friendly and accommodating. He brought our food to our seats. Seats were comfortable and the Theater was very clean. I consider this movie Theater a gem and wished I had learned about it sooner. I will definitely be returning. My only concern is I wished the movie schedule on the website was updated more regularly with longer run times for some movies. Overall, this will be my new good to movie Theater. read more

They have a variety of cooked foods and snacks. They also sell alcoholic beverages including beer and wine. I had the crispy chicken sandwich and the passion punch... so good. The passion punch is similar to a rum punch but with passion fruit very refreshing and it's frozen. The setting it very intimate. Good for small groups, date nights, ladies night, or even a birthday. This a wonderful independent Woman owned theater that features the newest movies. It is spacious yet cozy seating up to 50 people at a time. I did a private viewing and the personalized service and small touches were a delight. My daughter and her friends loved it. They serve delicious concessionitems and food and drinks. Today was the first time I'm was at this little gem. Walking in I was skeptical and didn't know what to expect. It is a small movie theater very clean and cute. There was your usual movie food menu such as popcorn, nachos, hotdog, pizza and etc. Then they have different snacks and drinks such as cupcakes with liquor, Klondike bars coquito, little bottles of wine, margaritas and sangria. Lamont was great serving us. He was so nice and hospitable. I had an angus hamburger it was so delicious and I'm not a burger person. Definitely recommend. Ohhhh one of the best part is the time me and my family booked for we whole had the whole theater to ourselves. It was so amazing! Also you rent out the whole theater 2 1/2 hours for $600!! So yes you can have your own movie party there!!! You can decorate and have your picture on the main tv screen when you walk in the food area. You can reserve seats. The seats aren't recliners, but I would say a step up from regular auditorium seats. I thought the audio in the theatre could be a bit louder, personally. True local gem. I was having a rough day when I walked in honestly. My boyfriend and I had just argued. In 1 minute, Chef Lamont turned that around 100%. I live just a couple of blocks away and have seen several movies at this theater. While the theater is very small, it has a cozy and intimate feel. The food is great, and they sell excellent Coquito. The staff is friendly and accommodating. Sometimes the food can take a while to prepare, but that's understandable given the size of the theater. Was across the street and walked by this theater. Almost missed it and glad I didn't. Watched Dr Strange at the the 1pm showing. Sat outside before the show and people watched on the quaint bench. I ordered the chicken Cesar wrap and the most delicious blue velvet cupcake EVER. Very cheap. It cost 10 dollars for both. Purchased the ticket right before The Show online. This a cozy intimate space that has a lot to offer. Drè gave us wonderful service and shared that the business is Black owned. They had varied food and alcohol selection. I had an angus burger and fries. The fries were crispy and hot and the burger Was really good to my surprise. The food took a little while to be served but that could be because it was 10 am. Yes, a burger at 10 am and they accommodated my order even though it was from the later menu. I also had the chicken noodle soup which was very hearty. They had Yani cakes which were so good. I tasted the carrot cake which was very moist. The chocolate cake was good. The best for me was the caramel cake, so delicious. Dre also shared that the theater was available for private events and the price was extremely reasonable. This cafe is a hidden gem in Greenpoint Brooklyn. My daughter and I came by to see Dr. Strange. The concession attendant was super friendly. The theatre was cozy and had a comfortable feel. Best part was the Latin menu. Yes you've got your traditional popcorn and drink, but you can also get empanadas, tamales, and delicious alcohol infused cupcakes yummy! Prices were super cheap! This place is all types of just cute!! Never would've thought this was actually a part mini cinema and part mini cafe! What a nice new addition to the neighborhood! I'm a sucker for homemade baklava and HAD to try it! It's thicker than what I'm actually used to, but this doesn't taste super sugary or artificial. Would've loved maybe some drizzled honey over the top or to come oozing out when I took my first bite. I can't complain. They have various movies playing during the week and on the weekends for family and adults alike! First of all, I reached out through email to book a last minute birthday party for my son and Andre responded IMMEDIATELY. He answered all of my questions - I had a lot of them. He took extra care to make my son's birthday incredibly special - from the photo on the TV when you walk in. to loading up the video montage before the movie, to offering a table for the cake up front after the movie. Lamont helped in the front with food and drinks and was gracious as can be. I can't thank them enough - it was my son's 30th and he is an entertainment editor for Esquire. He's been to all the theaters! I got the date I needed, I got the film he requested, and the theater was perfect for my Brooklyn crowd. All in less than a week of preparation! The price was less than everywhere that I had called and they cleaned up for me so that I could continue the party at a bar around the corner. We had a good time. The bathroom is not a port-a-potty, but it was a little walk from.the car in a creepy makeshift space that was kind of large, creepy. Honestly though, other than not enjoying the movie (not their fault) ai seriously enjoyed the experience. The vibe was so cool. Hey this place is so cool if you want to host a screening with your friends. They have a small theater space which is perfect for small premieres with cast/crew or even for supporters of your Indiegogo campaign. I love their dedication to supporting artists and indie filmmakers. The owner is so incredibly nice and I would highly recommend hosting an event here. My only suggestion is that they have a bigger bathroom and/or multiple bathrooms, but this small one seemed to work for us! It's also in a great location and it's easy to leave out the back if you need to. The chairs are easy to move for whatever you need. What an AMAZING experience my boyfriend and I had here on Valentine's Day. I booked the theater for a surprise for my boyfriend, and Stuart Cinema went above and beyond. Red and white wine, chocolate, snacks, fresh baked cookies, popcorn, beer, the list is endless! They even projected a photo while we waited for our movie to start, and played a playlist of my boyfriends favorite band. AND complimentary photos! So cute!! We got a gift bag at the end with hand sanitizer and more chocolates. This was truly an amazing experience with wonderful hosts that we will never forget!
