We have a large family, so whenever we have events at the house or host showers or parties for others we end up having to rent tables and chairs. I have used Stuart several times over the last few years and they have always been helpful, and it's never been a problem placing an order, even when I have had to do it the same day I need them. I haven't used them for anything other then the basics, but their showroom is awesome and if I needed to rent more I wouldn't hesitate to use them. My one star off is only because they don't deliver unless the order is more then $150, which I never have. It would make things more convenient and I could order tables that I wouldn't otherwise be able to since I don't have a vehicle to fit them in. All in all they are good and I would recommend to a friend... in fact I already have. read more

It was very difficult working with this company. I had to request things 4-5 times before ever getting an answer. They don't understand city tent regulations and then charged me for the city fees despite being denied a permit. We were also overcharged for equipment used. The bistro lights they setup for our party did turn out beautiful but I'm not sure all the hassle was worth it. We worked with Lauren in the Milpitas office. read more

I was last Minute planning a graduation party and the rental company i was going to use didn't have enough inventory on the weekend i was planning. I called Stuart Event Rentals and talked with Gregg. He was more thank helpful. They had everything i needed and more. Gregg Did a great job making recommendations of what else i could use to make my party even better. After going through all my options i picked out a lot more then i expected to get. I then started to worry i was going to spend too much money on this party. when Gregg quoted me I was surprised to see it was about the same price as the other rental company but with so much more added on. Trish and the construction crew were awesome to work with. We transformed my back yard in June of 2021 to host a party of 75 people. Stuart Event Rentals constructed a pool cover for me so that we could use it as a dining space, and they also provided all rentals. The process was great start to finish. The gentlemen that created the pool cover were professional, friendly, and did a very good job. Trish answered all of my questions, dealt with my last-minute nerves and changes, and she was just fantastic to work with. The rentals were nice, clean, and of good quality which was important to me. This is not the cheapest rental company out there - many other companies can rent you some random tables and chairs. I worked with staff in the Mountain View location and also on the phone several times. We had a hard time figuring things out for my daughter's wedding because well we've never done such a large party before, and we wanted to do as much of it as possible ourselves to get the personal touch we wanted, the look and feel. So the staff spent time with us, helped us with our selections of crystal, silver, plate, linens and some design pieces. They were not annoyed by all our questions and concerns and gave us all the time in the world. Obviously wedding planners go in there and probably point and pick, right, but with new folks it's great to get the professional treatment, as if our daughter's wedding was as important to them as to us. It all started with the idea of transforming my home into a winter wonderland party to celebrate my mom's 90th birthday. I called Stuart Rental and asked to speak with Mark Marini because he helped me with a previous last minute rental need for my boss' dinner party. I was surprised that Mark immediately remembered who I was and he asked how everything was going. I shared my vision of my mom's party to him and asked for things like a white dance floor, a lighted bar, etc. was available. His response, yes we have all the items you need and will be happy to assist you. Mark put the quote together and everything was in place. Well, I thought everything was in place until Mark called me and said there was a slight issue with my order however, not to panic because he has a solution. My immediate reaction, was...what do you mean? Mark explained that they don't have the lighted bar because of an overbooking. I was like ok....with concern in my voice. He said, we have other "bars" that could work just not lighted. Needless to say, I was fine with the change. I'm sharing my experience of recognizing Stuart Rental but the real rating of 5 stars or even 10 stars truly goes to Mark Marini. I had hiccups to the delivery whereby part of my order was not delivered for one reason or another (no fault) of Mark but I did reach out to him with my frustration of fear that the party is just hours away and I don't have the complete order in place. Mark in his calm demeanor, says Aurea, I can hear your stress and I guarantee you, everything will be ok. You will receive your order even if I have to deliver it to your home myself. This man, not only did he keep his promised of making sure everything was delivered on time, he went far and beyond to check in with me to insure the delivery men showed up as scheduled. Some may say, that's there job to do this. Yes, it is but Mark followed through everything. He made sure my paperwork was correct and adjusted as needed.. He was on top of it with the warehouse and dispatch. I told Mark, you have my business, our company business, and everyone I know will know your name and Stuart Rental. as a last minute decision, we decided to rent black napkins to add some 'pop' to our wedding night dinner tables. after debating on whether or not to just buy 250 plain linen napkins online i visited their showroom and was won over by their table set-ups. minus one star because i stood there for a while without any of the representatives asking if i needed any help. (I eventually got frustrated and just sat down at one of their office desks to get their attention.) but plus a star because when i called in to make a change to my order the person i spoke to was very pleasant and helpful. other than that, the rest of the rental process was pretty simple -- from ordering, to pick up, to drop off. unfortunately, we were missing 3 napkins when we returned our order so it was another few bucks out of our pocket. I have rented from Stuart Rental for many private parties for over 6 years now. They even provide discount for non-profit I volunteer for. They have vast collection to choose from and hence for someone like me, on a budget, its a good fit. Recently, there was a mishandling of a chafer that I rented due to which the lid is unusable. Renting the Chafer cost $14. But I was penalized $122 saying they have to replace the entire chafer even though it was just the lid that needs replacement. Moreover, I have been renting from them for over 6 years now. They didn't consider it at all. When I searched for the model on Amazon.com, I found a very good one for $45. Its possible that they have a separate supplier charging them $122, but that amount of penalty was very hard on my pocket. I have had good experience with Stuart Rental in the past. But this experience has left a very bad taste and would certainly research at other options for future rental needs. Update: (6/11/13) After my earlier Yelp review, Munglen, a PR personnel from Stuart Rental contacted me and found out about my experience. She offered an alternate solution and we worked a solution where I was refunded entire replacement cost. I am very impressed with the care with which Stuart Rental handled my case after the review. We had an open house at our business. I worked with Daniela, who was enthusiastic, respectful, helpful, patient, and cheerful. She went through the many revisions to our rental list and always stayed positive. I found working with her to be a great experience. When she wasn't available, other people looked up my reservation number and helped me, seamlessly. It was easy. One thing you can learn from me, if you're renting a canopy of any size, have a hose and a water source near where this canopy will go up. If you don't have these, the canopy can't go up. The water fills up big barrels that anchor the canopy. The rental company didn't tell me this and said they never tell clients about this essential equipment. Maybe now they will. I hope so. That's the only negative in an experience that was great in every other respect. I'd gladly recommend Stuart Rental Company to anyone. read more

It was a pleasure to work with Mark Marini at Stuart Event Rentals. I must have called him a thousand times... okay, maybe not that much but definitely enough times to be a bother. Mark however, was very understanding and patient and never made me feel as though I was a pest. I was constantly changing the number of items for my event as the event size grew each day or cancelling an item and replacing it with something else. He quickly provided me each time with an updated price quote so that I could adjust my budget accordingly. Anytime I called, I spoke to a "live" person who would connect me to Mark. Mark always answered right away and if he wasn't in, he returned my call quickly. On the day of the event, we had to make some last minute modifications on the equipment set-up. The delivery/set-up team had no problem making the changes and were very accommodating. The team showed up early for both the delivery and teardown and was ready to work.
