I have used stuart many times, They have a good selection and now that they have lots of tent sizes available I will probably use them more often Although they are not the best tents, They have all the basic's but when I wanted good drapery, linens, furniture I had to go elsewhere to get it, I used there stage in Milpitas and I must say it really seemed like a trip hazard even with carpet over it,, I shouldn't need to pay for carpet for a stage. I don't like that their team has always told me the way things are and they really act as if my visions are out of the relm of reality. Once again they have a variety of eqipment but they are not a ONE STOP SHOP if I want my visions I have learned that I have to have multiple vendors and pay extra for delivery.. More often when I have the Budgets I will use Hartmann or Classic but still the service isn't all that and the prices are way out of control read more

I was in a bind for an upcoming work event. I ordered table linens from Amazon Prime the week prior, but they had issues with their supplier so they couldn't get my my table linens in 1-2 days. So as a last minute resort, I was forced to rent table linens instead. I called a few event rental spots in the Bay Area and one of them could not assist me (due to my last minute request), but they did refer me to Stuart Event Rentals in Milpitas. I called and Andrew (I think he is the Manager?) picked up. He was able to help me get my last minute order in 10-15 minutes via phone! I'm in the area so instead of opting for delivery, I offered to pick up the (6) linens myself. When I arrived, even the ladies at the front desk/customer service desk were surprised that Andrew assisted me with this last minute request and they assumed I was a friend of his. I'm guessing because he took care of such a minor last minute request. Andrew was even willing to show me how best to fold the linens with a crease in the middle (if I were to use them over shorter length tables). This is superb customer service from a Manager and I expect nothing less. I appreciate Andrew's genuine assistance as it shows how he clearly leads by example and high expectations in customer service. I also work for a non-profit organization and they gave me a 10% discount on top of my overall purchase! Additionally, the pick-up and drop-off process was super easy. read more

OMG! Just got off the phone with a sales person from this company, and I had to write a review only because it's fresh in my mind! I decided to call Stuart Rental Company because I have used them in the past, and even though Pleasanton Rentals is much closer to where I live, I went with Stuart Rental because of the great customer service and their willingness to work within my budget. That was NOT the case today! The woman who answered the phone at Stuart Rental was snide and almost rude...whenever I inquired about tables, chairs, tents, etc. She made me feel so dumb and I kept apologizing to her for asking so many questions. WOW! I would never go to this place again. It looks like from other reviews that Stuart's customer service department is in dire need of training and should heed the advice of their customers...otherwise you can thank them for going out of business~ read more

I got my gold chiavari chairs here for my wedding reception. I liked the chairs & the service was ok. I think the chairs here are 25 cents cheaper than Classic Party Rental. That doesn't sound like much, but when you multiply that by 275 guests, you save almost 70 dollars! read more

I've used Stuart Rental company for several personal events ranging from birthday parties of 40 people to New Year's Parties of 150. They have a good selection of lounge furniture and linens. Withy my most recent event, Melody was very responsive over email and very gracious quickly making changes I had with my order - sometimes multiple changes in one day. A day before my event, Melody was able to change my delivery to an earlier time because I was nervous about setting up well before the event started. I hadn't even arrived at the venue and everything was set up beautifully. You will definitely be able to style an event at a very reasonable cost compared to their competitors. read more

I called these guys at the last minute trying to order a small tent for a weekend party. The price of $160 dollars for a 10x10 tent including setup was pretty standard. The thing that set these guys apart in my book was honesty. When I phoned them, they asked what I needed the tent for. I told them that it was "backup" coverage for a maybe rainy day Saturday. The person I spoke with (I believe his name was Andrew) told me that they subscribe to multiple weather sources in order to better advise their clients and he felt that I would be safe for Saturday but understanding that I wanted to cover all my bases, he suggested that I go with a lighter duty pop up tent that I could pick up from their warehouse and set up myself, saving me $60. I took his advise. I was able to easily locate their showroom in Milpitas. The front office staff was very pleasant. I picked up the tent in about 10 minutes. My hubby was able to set it up super quickly. I returned the tent the following Monday also in about 10 minutes. I really appreciated the honesty and efficiency of the staff. I will not hesitate to recommend them to anyone. I am definitely a fan! read more

I think the two most important factors in what makes a rental company is their selection and their tolerance for indecision. It's hard choosing the right colors because the time of day, weather, wardrobe, makeup, venue and expectations all cause people to perceive color combinations differently. They only way to really get the effect your want on your wedding day is to actually take out the set you want and look at it under as many conditions as you can. The last thing you want is an unforeseen cloudy day to gray out your vibrant color space and ruin your evening. Stuart Rental has the goods necessary to accommodate a panoply of different tweaks to a color concept. The people there are also very patient as I came in and built my mock up time and time again to ensure that it would be ready under a host of conditions. Finally, on the day of, when it was unusually sunny, they were able to accommodate a last minute change in linens, so their bold colors didn't wash out the bridesmaid's dresses. This flexibility in invaluable as some of the bridesmaids my mom in law forced on me are really not attractive and need every bit of help they could get to be presentable in our pictures. read more

Planned a big corporate event, changed the date, then changed the date again. Finally put it on hold indefinitely. Surprise call from the Governor's office that he could visit our company the next day. Called Stuart Rental, and it was no problem. Made our plans, the Advance Team came and said no, called Stuart Rental and changed again. So you get the idea, I kept changing what I wanted. I even changed things the day of the event. It was absolutely no problem, great customer service. Everything was installed on time (and in the rain) and taken down in a timely manner. Would use them again in a heart beat. read more

We contacted Stuart Event Rentals approximately 6 weeks prior to my daughter's wedding on Sunday September 4, 2016. "Nakeisha" was our representative. Talk about patience. We revised our order so many times and this rep NEVER had any angst in her voice or actions. So helpful and personal despite our many adjustments before the wedding. I wanted to wait to write this review because I wanted to include comments about the actual delivery and set up of the drapes for my daughter's reception venue. I've only rented on a small scale (holidays, home parties) but the staff is so friendly and knowledgable. They have everything you can imagine and 20 or so table settings for instant ideas! There are no hidden fees and equipment is ready when they say. I think they are awesome and I love having them so close. The location is a little quirky, kinda hidden and difficult to find, but now that I have found it, I consider Stuart's a hidden gem. read more

This is my first experience with renting things for an event at our home. I was clueless about many things. Their website and staff were very helpful and I was able to get a clear picture. Finally after a trip to the office in Milpitas and many e-mail inquiries to Naekisha, I signed the contract and paid the deposit. Naekisha was very thoughtful and helpful through the process. Having never planned a wedding before, and lacking many of the things that I thought we would need, I contacted Kathy Newby at Stuart's Rental. We went over to the site to see what was available and I was surprised at how much inventory they had. Kathy took us under her wing and was wonderful. She gave us ideas, suggestions (when we asked), and walked us through the area so that we could both see and touch the items we were thinking of renting. I cooked thanksgiving dinner for 45 extended family members, and needed extra tables, chairs, and catering equipment. Everyone that I dealt with was exceptionally friendly and useful. In fact, even after I screwed up the delivery address, the drivers went 2 miles out of their way despite waiting for me an extra 15 minutes. Ordering process was a pain. Website sucks. When I got the rentals most things seemed dirty. The silverware all had to be repolished. The glasses had spots on them. The chairs were dingy. We spent as much time cleaning their product as setting it up. Then when they picked everything up they miscounted my return and charged me over a hundred dollars for product I returned.
