It's two stars not for how my nails came out but about how I was lied to about the price!! So I made an appt and came in that same day. I had to wait almost 30mins to be seen, which was ok since I was off and didn't have anywhere to be. I made a specific appt for a $25 full set. The nail tech Nancy asked me to choose my color. She did a great job giving me a coffin shape and a really pretty color. It not about the quality of work she did a great job, it if I would have known about the pricing from the gate I would have been prepared. What if I only brought enough based on my quote cuz it was a gift mani and I didn't bring my wallet? Then I get ready to pay and I'm told it's $40. Wait what? I made an appt for the basic $25 full set acrylic. She tried to cover up saying prices start at $25 And the owner tells me I should know that gel costs extra. Which insulted me because lady I don't work there and I'm not paying an extra $15 for some damn polish. And I told her it was false advertising and for future customer service say "STARTING AT" not assume a customer knows your prices. Esp when there is no pricing list anywhere in site. And the tech should ask what would you like and confirm pricing BEFORE getting started. (Which has happened at most shops I go to) This made me very upset and she ending up charging me only $25 since she knew she was wrong but it made me upset. Sudha is the best!!! She blesses my eyebrows every time. Been going here for 5 years now and never had a bad experience. Sudha takes her time doing my eyebrows, she makes sure they are perfect from threading to trimming and to even plucking the smallest piece of hair. She makes sure her clients are happy with the results. Not only do I go to this salon because Sudha is my eyebrow lady but also because every single time I come to this salon I am treated with respect from welcoming to saying see you next time. A true hidden gem! As a lifelong Bay Point resident, I can't even count the number of times I've driven past this building without thinking twice about dropping by. I've been on the hunt for a new "regular" nail salon and I found so much more! My friend recommended Studio 15 but what she didn't mention was how kind and inviting Sudha is. I called owner Sudha today at 4:45 and she kindly squeezed me in between her 5 and 6pm appts. The salon is very airy and open - it's gorgeous inside! Sudha did a fantastic job on my nails and the best part is that we chatted and shared stories the entire time. I can't wait to bring my mom and sister with me and have a true girls spa day. I'm giving 3 stars just because the powder the lady uses during waxing gave me a mild asthma attack. It was a strong rose scented powder, and because she was waxing my upper lip and chin area, the powder was right by my nose. I know the powder's used to absorb excess oil and make waxing easier and more accurate, but the smell was overwhelming and left me wheezing the entire 5-minute walk home. Other than that, the lady who did the waxing was very sweet and did an amazing job. I have tiny hairs on my chin that don't seem to grow more than 1/8 of an inch which usually don't get picked up from waxing, but she took the time to tweeze them off individually, which something that most estheticians fail to do for me, so thank you! read more

Tatiana has been my hair dresser for about 5 years now. I have followed her from a previous shop and will stick with her under the new ownership! She is amazing! Was hesitant about trying this place out but it turned out to be terrific! Came out loving my nails. Just found my new manicurist.

Nancy is absolutely amazing! I had her take off my old set and she was as gentle as possible given they were only 2 weeks old. I switched from square to oval and she did them beautifully. I'm a licensed cosmetologist and I got really good at acrylics in beauty school so I'm super picky but I couldn't be happier. Aside from that she was super sweet and spoke English even when talking to her kid who happened to be there. I typically don't care about that but it was a nice change. I'm getting what Sudha aesthetician and owner of (studio 15) calls a series of facelifts. I've had about 8 sessions and wow, can I see a difference! I'm looking younger thanks to Sudha 's treatment. I never realized that one reason we get wrinkles as we age is that we lose muscle tone in our facial muscles. That's what I've learned, among other things. Sudha is very knowledgeable. The worst place to ever get your hair done especially highlights by Nelly. My appointment was at 1:30pm she finished about 4:30pm it was a nightmare how my hair turned out she forgot a chunk and section on both sides of my hair, she had the color all wrong didn't even match my previous highlights despite needing a touch up only. In my 40 years of life this is far the worst place to waste your time by the time I ended up leaving this place after the owner tries to fix the wrong done was approximately 7:30pm half my day is gone not only that she didn't even finish blow drying my hair ends up her sons hanging out waiting for her so she's in a rush . Didn't bother offering to style I asked her to cut my hair into layers about two inches she ended up just cutting it the way she wanted it. Rather than the way I asked her to cut my hair in layers she's trying to let me it's in a certain like seriously someone trying to tell you how your hair is supposed to be cut and all your life you've had it done a certain way. She ended up damaging my hair drying it out by putting so much dye. After that old lady Nelly messes it up the first time literally she just played color with my hair. At last I ask her to do my eye brows she charges me more than anyone else and I read the board it's $10 decides to charge me $14 and then tells me to get my upper lip done when I don't even have hair there . On top of it she left hair on my eye brows that I had to come home the pluck it myself. She overcharged me $140 for the highlights on top of it kept telling me she's giving me discount. Hahaha what discount you messed up my hair wasted my time, far the worst service in the CONTRA COSTA COUNTY. I would never TRUST a place like this. I only went cause a good coworker recommended but I guess don't trust others but your own instincts. read more

So I randomly went here cause it's down the street from where I lived and seen it had great reviews so I took a chance to get a haircut. The lady who cut my hair was friendly but didn't speak any English, I told her I just wanted an inch off and long layers cause I was growing out my hair. That being said she chopped off my hair about 4 inches and gave me way too many layers that it looked like I had a mullet. Even before she started cutting my layers I told her to cut my hair a sharp A- line since it was gonna be short, but instead cut tons of layers in the front. I love this place! The salon is clean, neat and huge. I came here last month for highlights and to get my roots done. The lady who did my hair was amazing! She was very friendly and made sure I got the right shade of blonde for my highlights. She took her time on me but was also able to squeeze a haircut in for another customer while I was under the dryer. I was very impressed with her multitasking skills. She was very personable and made me feel comfortable throughout the entire process. She flat ironed my hair at the end and made sure I was completely happy with her work. I will definitely go back in a couple months for a retouch. The price was reasonable and the entire staff there were very friendly. They all were smiling and offered me water while I was waiting. My review is for Sudha. She is amazing! I go to her my eyebrow and lip wax and my mom gets her nails done by her. She is the one who referred me to Sudha and I drive all the way from Fairfield to see her. Most other people I got waxed from seemed to get me in the chair and try to get me out as fast as possible. Sudha really takes her time and does a fantastic job as well! I love the way my eyebrows look every time. I would highly recommend her. I have no experience with anyone else at the salon so I can really only review her. The salon is very spacious and clean though. read more
