So what? Right? Well when you have quite of bit bags (heavy bags), you get exhausted and need to make multiple trips back to the car. Haha really nothing to complain about, mostly a comment I guess. In any case, the workers were happy to accept the donations and thanked me while I was leaving. I donated clothes, king size bedspread, sheets, and blankets. Another trip were shoes, towels, and more clothes. Easy access in and out of the parking lot which is located right on a corner. Very nice clean location.

My partner walked over to help her unload the heavy table and asked her if we can take it instead. The worker at the back loading dock saw the whole thing and got upset. She yelled "next time you can't do that, this time today it's okay but you can't do that!" Technically the owner of the table didn't even give it to them yet--for them to get upset. They were mad because we got it for free, WHICH the owner happily handed to us. The audacity to tell us we couldn't take it, when it isn't even theirs. Just complete snakes taking everything they can get. Mind you, these are free items donated by the public and these greedy corporations sells them for pure profit. What once was a business model to provide jobs for the local community just became a money-driven business model. Just complete snakes..not just this location but every other location I go to now.

This Salvation Army has been around forever. It's been located at this address for a lot of years…read more And, I've been coming here forever. It's always a great space to find that unique vintage item that you wanted or that you never knew you needed. They really have a lot of stuff at this particular Salvation Army. It ranges from a lot of clothing, shoes, housewares, dishes, even to a small selection of electronics. You truly never know what you're going to find. This location went through some renovation a few years ago. It used to have two separate entryways. To the left was the boutique area, which I always found a great place to shop for those high-end vintage items. Then, there was the main section. All of that stuff is pretty much here today, but it is housed in one big, large facility. Everything at the Salvation Army is very well organized. So, it's easy to find the section you're looking for. The main thing I always say about this location is that you never know what you're going to find. So, it's always a very fun shopping experience.

Unfortunately, my recent sellers chose a company on their own, and in my opinion, they were greatly taken advantage of. The experience reminded me just how exceptional Phil and his team at Downsizing Solutions are. Phil is, without question, one of the best estate sale professionals I've ever worked with. To give some perspective, the company my sellers used spent only three days going through the home, while Phil typically dedicates two to three weeks to carefully sort, organize, and price everything so each item is displayed and visible. This particular home was filled with high-end items, many brand new and countless tools and collectibles stored in every room and closet. The other company didn't set up enough display tables, leaving many valuable items unseen and underpriced. In contrast, Phil and his team use every available space, even setting up tables in the backyard if needed, ensuring that everything is visible and well-presented. Phil consistently draws large crowds, often with hundreds of people lined up before the sale even opens, and his sales generate strong returns for sellers. He also goes above and beyond after the sale, working closely with clients to organize donations and provide documentation for tax write-offs. It's difficult to see clients taken advantage of, especially when they simply didn't know the difference in quality and professionalism among estate sale companies. I did recommend Phil, but they chose someone who was personally connected to the deceased. It was a hard lesson learned, and I want to make sure others don't have the same experience. If you ever need someone reliable, professional, and truly dedicated to helping clients get the best results from an estate sale, I can only recommend Phil and Downsizing Solutions. Jen & Oscar are two amazing people who love music & vintage stereo equipment to bring back to life…read more I myself lent some money to a friend to help him out and he left me with collateral 2 Klipsch Belle Horn Theater Speakers and a Yamaha Receiver to hold until the loan got repaid. But after you lend money. We all know the story all too well they took the money & RAN.. Never to be repaid. I enjoyed the system for numerous years But after downsizing my collection after getting into my retirement years. And 36 years later. I decided to let them go to a good home to be restored and cherished like they should be. I googled Vintage Stereo Equipment and Rewind Audio popped up.. Gave them a call and literally 6 hours later they were at my home picking them up to bring them back to life & give them a new home. I am so grateful I called them. While I was purusing, I heard the sales associates helpiing others with book searches and book club information. It sounds like they have a number of book clubs going at the same time which makes me green with envy. Somebody please open a bookstore like this in Santa Clarita Valley, Ca.! At the time of my visit there was a children's reading event going on in the children's section. There were young adults picking out their spring break reads. There is also a courtyard and coffee shop somewhat attached. I did not try the coffee, but will the next time I am in Manhattan Beach. This is a charming bookstore, well designed, with sooo many staff picks and recommendations. Make sure to pay them a visit when you are in the area.
