I went to Studio B for the first time to get my nail's done this week. I've driven by it for the past few weeks when going to Georgetown and the $22 manicure/pedicure deal sounded too good to be true. But it wasn't!!! It was a wonderful experience. The girls working were very sweet and did not chit chat incessantly. There was a little trouble about the waxing room being locked, but the owner was all over it and solved the issue without making a scene. They offered that "vacation" option, but did not overly push it on me. And they have lots of affordable packages. The only reason why I am only giving it four stars is that it is small. I would highly recommend making a reservation. Because I can imagine that it could get busy and there isn't really a waiting area. I do not mind the size at all, but it could be a deal breaker if I wanted to go with friends. read more

This is a review for the nail salon portion. DO NOT GO. There are over a dozen other nail salons in the Ridgefield/Wilton area. Go to one of them. I went to get a manicure/pedicure and an eyebrow wax. They had a really good price so I figured why not. We start with my eyebrow wax. First of all, when someone puts wax on you mr face and says "uh oh," that is not a good sign. Probably the last thing you want to hear. She keeps going and my eyebrows look fine, except she managed to give me a cut on my brow line. I've been getting my eyebrows waxed for years and never experienced that before. Then to my pedicure. The girl doing my nails was very sweet, but somehow managed to cut open the side of my foot. Yes, she cut it open. That's already two cuts from one trip to a nail salon. This was over six months ago and there is still a mark there. It hurt really badly and I had to tell her to go back and put something in it to clean it because she kept going. I didn't want to stay and had enough so I said I was done. After all that she still charged me for the manicure AND pedicure. My nails weren't so much as looked at and my pedicure consisted of lotion, nails clipped, and a sliced foot. I couldn't deal with it so I just paid and left. I asked to speak with an owner or manager but she just kept giggling and saying "yes." To top it all off, after my trip to this salon, I developed a toenail fungus that took me months to get rid of. I am even embarrassed to admit that on a public profile but people need to know how horrible this place is. I would give it 0 stars if it let me. STAY AWAY. read more

Cheryl has been coloring my hair for two years now. I wouldn't trust my hair to anyone else. She will have you in your dream color and looking like a celebrity in no time. My hair is vibrant, shiny and nothing short of gorgeous. I constantly get stopped throughout the day by people asking me where I get my hair colored. I get my roots done every two weeks and I don't know how she does it but it stays looking beautiful the full two weeks. Cheryl is a perfectionist and will make sure you leave her chair looking fabulous. Most importantly she's the sweetest person I know. You feel like you're having your hair done by a friend. Ridiculously expensive and I was rushed through the whole process. I got a single process to cover the few greys I have, and also got a partial with foils which were brushed on in about 5 minutes, and then a haircut. I still gave a 20% tip because I never tip less than that. So including tip I paid $350. The cut was ok and the highlights were average. For that price I should be blown away. If you are looking for a nice, calm, and relaxing place to get a haircut this is definitely the place to go. Each time I have gone, my haircut was never rushed and always turned out exactly how I wanted it to be. There is no other place I trust with my hair and can breath easy knowing I will always get a quality haircut. In regards to the nail salon portion, I sometimes get gift cards for my mom to go there. However, I recently found out that the nail salon is not part of Studio B and is its own separate business. Knowing this and reading some of the other reviews, I don't think it's justifiable to be rating Studio B on a business/portion it doesn't even own. read more

This review is for the nail salon. Two pieces of advice: 1) establish the price up front. It can change from what is posted, or what you paid last time. 2) If the man (owner) is going to do the pedicure, walk out. I have been twice for a pedicure only. The first time it was fine, one of the women did the "rose" pedicure and l got a gel polish and the 10 minute chair massage as the spa advertises. The hot rocks foot massage consists of one pass along the sole of the foot, but overall it was fine. NOT THE SECOND TIME. I asked for the same Rose pedicure, and gel polish. The owner, male, did the pedicure. It hurt. Every aspect was awkward and unpleasant. The prep for the pedicure was painful, and seemed to last forever. Instead of a relaxing foot massage (again not the hot rock of seconds, the foot massage which they set a timer for), it felt as if he was trying to break the bones in my feet. At one point I jumped and winced, and he laughed. I guess he wanted to speed up the process, because he brought a table over, moved my chair back so he could fit the table between himself and the chair, then moved it back up, and balanced the two nail dryers against his two spread knees and the table and insisted that I fit my feet in them. This may not sound so terrible, but picture the gyno stirrups, and you may get the idea. The chair pushed close enough to the dryers so I had to bend my knees and spread my legs in a very awkward fashion. It was really awful. I couldn't wait to have the chair massage because I was stiff from the pedicure. Well, there was no massage - he just put my shoes on and walked to the pad to make out my bill. I had seen two clients who just got the normal mani-pedi for $20, and they got their massages, and their pedicurists spent as much if not more time with them than he did with the Spa treatment. He charged me twice what I had paid the first time. I challenged him, and he raised his voice. I said I had the same treatment in August and it had cost $35.00. At this point I just wanted to get out of there, so I paid what he asked and and left. AND I won't be back. read more

FIND ANOTHER NAIL SALON! The worst! My girlfriend and I went there for spa pedicures only they did not use the sugar scrub or lemon which were listed as part of the pedicure. When I asked how come they did not use the scrub or lemon they informed me they no longer had any but yet still charged me for the spa pedicure. I decided recently to go and give their massage a try I guess why not. Not expecting too much given it's only $30. I should have spent the extra $70 and gone to Ridgefield by far the worst massage I've ever had in my life! I felt board like she was only sticking to one spot. When I would look up to see why I would catch the girl multiple times on her phone!!!! Also her nails were too long it was more of an hour long tickle session. read more

What a travesty, my elderly mother has been going to Studio B for 5 years. I had an appointment that I made with Bobbi, the OWNER. And they refused To do her hair. They deserve zero stars. She paid top dollar $220.00 for a cut color and highlights. Will never take her back there. As far as I am concerned no one should go there they are not loyal to their longtime customers!! read more

So the nail part is great. Clean, cheap, nice people, fast service. The hair part is a joke. Outrageously expensive for a hole in the wall, highlights were not even close to the scalp line, a haircut I could get at super cuts, or worse, my kids' hair cutting place. If my fat butt could fit in the race car, I could have gone to Sharkey's for 23 dollars instead of a whopping $350. A rip off. You want to spend that money, go into Manhattan. read more

Studio B has a welcoming and pleasant atmosphere and the quality of the stylists is great. I have been a client for several years and can happily say that a visit to Studio B feels like a relaxed treat, and not rushed or impersonal the way it can at larger salons. Highly recommended. read more

I came in after calling for a pedicure, waited my 10 minutes that actually means 20-30 minutes. Time then speeds up through your pedicure because the massage portion was putting a hot rock on my foot and the messy paint colored toes that a 3 year old could have done. Avoid this place. read more

Best hair salon in CT! Studio B did hair for my sister and her bridesmaids on her wedding day. Everyone's hair came out beautifully, and the experience was wonderful! I also got updos here for both my proms - and while my friends' hair (who went to other salons) was always falling out by the end of the night, mine stayed! Studio b always does a high quality job.
