I thought SMG was alright. It seems nice and modern when you walk in. Lots of seating areas and a full bar, so there's that. We purchased our seats online and that's a convenience that I love and expect these days. My mind won't quit, so I was thinking to myself that we need to hit the red button as soon as we sit down, so we can go ahead and get that order in before everybody else starts knowing what they want and trying to order. I think that was key to not having to wait very long for our food. We ordered popcorn, and flatbread, and chicken, and a couple of drinks. It was all just okay tasting. I wasn't expecting greatness. I ordered a rootbeer and had to send it back because it had an unbecoming taste. They brought me a lemonade instead and nasty was still there. Something's wrong with the fountain situation. We liked our server. She was nice and attentive. The seats weren't bad. They were comfortable enough. I would like it if they cleaned each table between movies. I saw grease stains and I didn't like that one bit. The other thing I didn't like was that the volume of the movie was not loud enough to overcome the inevitable sounds of the theatre (orderings and such). I felt like I was straining to hear. I felt like I couldn't chew and hear at the same time. If that sounds weird to you, strike that last statement. SMG is cool. I've been coming to studio movie grill for a while, but today I felt like I needed to do a review. First there is a Groupon for movie tickets, so make sure to get your tickets there because they are normally cheaper on Groupon, HOWEVER sometimes studio movie grill's tickets are cheaper on their website. Second, there is a large parking lot with free parking which is nice, and this is a dine in theater (they have a full bar also). Overall I enjoy it here because it's clean and the food is DECENT but there are two downfalls. One, the staff isn't very kind in my last couple experiences they've had bad attitudes. Also they up charge for EVERYTHING, and honestly I don't mind paying extra for things but their up charge prices are ridiculous. read more

It was honestly really disappointed I had went with my boyfriend to see the new " long legs" movie (on 7/20) . The movie was amazing. The tickets for both my boyfriend and I were 34 dollars rounded up to the nearest dollar. Before hand we took the time to look at the menu and think about what we wanted to eat, we both later agreed on the so called deal of "2 for $30 sharing deal". Since it honestly seemed like a good deal at the time BOY were we wrong. When we had placed the order the total came out to be 53 dollars ( once again rounded up to the nearest dollar) I remember vividly that we had ordered a lemonade, a coke, the deal which we got the pizza, large popcorn, and chicken tenders. the tip was included (18%). We didn't get the chance to see what we were getting charged for due to the movie already being played. Then when the movie was over we went home. But sometimes something always has to go wrong. On Monday my boyfriend gets charged for 43 something, we tried calling the theater. NO ANSWER. So we took the trip on going back again to see what could be done due to once again my boyfriend being charged for something out of the blue. The Manager that was on duty on Tuesday was a sweetheart. He explained that system does that sometimes and that charge will be refunded just to wait a day and it will be gone. We agree and headed home. Wednesday night rolls around and nothing has happened, so on Thursday after dinner. My boyfriend and I head once again to the theater to figure out what's going on. We went in and asked for a manager, the manager on duty 7/25 WAS SO RUDE!! ( I assume the manager's name is James B, It was shown on the refund receipt ). it looked like he did not want to be there. He just had an annoyed face. We just brushed it off didn't say anything about it because he is "helping" us solve this problem that was made . He goes to the back and looks at the transactions that had been processed with that card, turns out that they were charging us for a whole different movie that we never knew about nor watched. He asked us if we were sure that we didn't see the movie, we both looked at movie was a confused face because he had showed proved of everything to the tickets, the charges to the date and time we had been there. Then He finally refunded my boyfriend the money that was taken from his account and left. At the end of the day, I will never go back here, the food was honestly mid, the popcorn was stale. Plus: - Great for kids to catch a bite to eat while watching the movie. - Large enough menu selection for everyone. - Groupons always available Minus: - Some of the seats were torn, it was scraping the back of my son's legs. - Servers come back 40 minutes before the movie ends to drop off bills. - Servers try to grab dirty dishes at the same time they deliver the bills and easily drop forks or they don't have enough hands to grab everything making a clatter. Relatively clean movie theater. Chairs do not decline or have feet that come up, but yet rock. Food was a bit disappointing. Got the chips and queso for an app and the chips were over salted so much we couldn't taste the dip. Ordered the bento box - chicken teriyaki had no sauce on it, wonton crisps were seasoned with something that set my mouth on fire, cucumber and carrot salad was the best thing. Edamame hummus wasn't good and either were wasabi peas. The slaw had no dressing on it so was completely dry. Any other smg is fine, i highly recommended not going to this location however. One or two times that I've had a bad experience I can overlook,but the last several times I've gone, just absolutely horrible. Service has really become such a disappointment,they should honestly fire most of their staff and rehire a brand new staff,They even lost my dates debit card a while back and had the audacity to laugh about it. The idea of a movie and dinner at the same place was something I've avoided. I assumed it was overly expensive for mediocre food. Just like how popcorn is 12 bucks at a normal theater. But to my surprise, the food although a little pricey is worth it. The food here is really good. Portion sizes are really giving. Their presentation is really nice too. Too bad during the movie its dark, its difficult to see their presentation of food. The sound system is really good here as well. definitely took care to market his a nice place. I'd definitely say to come here. The crowd is older and you don't I think because of the setup, you don't get those families bringing their crying kids or teenagers giggling and making noises. Really good atmosphere. Service is good. You get a buzzer at your seat to buzz for a waiter if you need something. Drinks are reasonable priced as well. Good date night. My only suggestion to the owners. Some of the tray tables are slanted and the dishes will slide towards you. Maybe get some non slip surface to put the plates on so it doesn't fall into my lap when a bomb explodes. Great place. Definitely something I will come back to read more

I brought my kids to watch a movie at the Duluth location on Sunday because I needed to run errands in that area. It is close to Costco and so the location is convenient. I usually always go to the Alpharetta location. I purchased my reserved seats online. I was able to bypass the long line to print out my tickets at the kiosk. This location has a small box office, so the lines will always be longer due to less people working at the counter. It has a bigger "bar" area with TVs for people to hang out at while waiting. Once we entered the theater, it was definitely smaller than the Holcomb Bridge/Alpharetta location. The seats were not mobile, and had attached small, school desk-like table, not very comfortable for sitting or eating. We turned on our desk lights to call the server, she was very pleasant but so slow. She took soooo long in putting in our order on her little palm held machine. I was disappointed that the burger sliders were taken off the kids menu. I had to order cheeseburgers for $10 each from the grown up menu for my two little kids. I asked her if the ketchup and mustard came on the burgers or on the side, she assured me 3 times that mustard and ketchup came on the burger. For me, I ordered the Cajun Chicken salad based on the waitress's recommendation of it being big and filling. Our food took so long to arrive. When it finally arrived, the burgers didn't have mustard or ketchup either on the burger or on the side!!! My salad was drenched with watered down dressing and the lettuce was wilted (see picture). The waitress brought the bill and collected the credit card a few minutes later, but the movie ended and she didn't finalize the payment nor brought back my credit card. I had to wait in my seat for my card for 10 minutes after the movie finished with four or five other people. The seats were uncomfortable compared to the Alpharetta location, the food was bad, and the service was SUPER slow. Never going back to this location again! read more

We do not see movies as often as we would like, but when we have access to a baby sitter, we enjoy coming here to Studio Movie Grill. The Duluth location is nice and they offer a large variety of movies to see. [ Ticket Prices ] -- Matinee Hours: Adult, Military, Senior and Students, regardless are all $9. For those ages 2-10, they are $8 for Matinee. -- Regular Hours: Adults are $11, Military/Seniors/Students are $9 and Children ages 2-10 are $8. -- 3D Movies: Adults are $14 and are $12 for Military/Seniors/Students and are $11 for Children ages 2-10 years old. [ Special Prices ] Money does not grow on trees, or at least not in my back yard. (If you do in yours, please share a few seeds) For those who like to get more bang for their buck and prefer stretching their money, Studio Movie Grill often offers Groupon Deal's that brings the movie ticket price to just $6 bucks. Just make sure to read the rules before purchasing them, as sometimes they cannot be used for new releases, however, sometimes they can... Always read the fine print. Studio Movie Grill also has promotion codes, search the internet and you should be able to find them. If you plan on eating here, every dollar saved, is more money that can be applied towards food/tip. [ Food ] The food at SMG, is actually good, considering it is a movie theatre. However, this all depends on what one might order. They offer a 2-for-$25 deal which includes one appetizer (chicken nachos/pretzel bites/grease cheese fries/edamame/chips and salsa/spinach dip/ or popcorn. For the two entrees, people can choose from pizza, burgers (Classic American/BBQ/Pork/Mushroom Swiss/Megaplex and my favourite the California), [the burgers can be made from either grilled chicken, beef or turkey], chicken salads, chicken fajita quesadilla, macaroni & cheese, or chicken tenders, however, their chicken tenders are usually way too over cooked. [ Service ] The service here is usually good, as long as one has a good server. There is a button placed on top of the tray located on the seat. When this button is push, a red light will be displayed and someone will come out to take a customer's order. Usually the food comes out fast and is made correctly, sometimes we may have received the wrong order, but it is promptly fixed. [ Restroom ] When visiting this location, if you need to use the bathroom, make sure you do so before leaving the movie area, because the only other restroom area is located to the left of the bar area. Whoever was the genius behind this design thought one toilet was enough. This creates a long line of people and urine retention is certainly not a good thing. [ Lounge ] For those who prefer arriving extra early, SMG has a very nice lounge area with comfortable chairs and couches. They have a full bar with televisions. I cannot comment on the bar, as I rarely drink. [ Theatre ] The seats here are comfortable. My only issue is sometimes other movies playing next door are much louder than the one being currently watched. For example, we just saw "EXODUS: GODS AND KINGS" and the movie playing next door at times was much louder than this movie was, which was slightly annoying, as even the vibration/resonance could be felt through the walls, therefore, they definitely could use better damping. Overall, the picture and sound quality at SMG is excellent. Came here with my kind, vegetarian husband to enjoy a movie date night. We went to see the nun, and the movie was good, but the service, ruined the overall experience. It was hard to decipher what was more scary; the horror movie or the horrendous service that was given. After noticing the servers lack of knowledge, we tried to make our order simple. Like I said my husband is vegetarian, so we order the quesadilla with NO chicken, no meat. (Stressed it upon her 3 times...NO MEAT). 30 min later, our quesadilla comes out and guess what, it had all the chicken on it. It was sad because it was a dark theater and it wasn't until we took a couple bites to realize there was chicken in it. But now my husband is pooping his brains out and I'm stuck at home cleaning up his shit, literally! On top of all this, I decided to pay cash (because I heard that it's the easier route to go based on lost credit card problems) and they even messed that up! I had a 29$ dollar tab and paid with two 20s, and asked for change. Was given back 6 $ and not 11$ and found out it was swapped with another check. I tried to be understanding about the whole situation but it seemed like no one even cared or owned up to any of the mistakes. I think management should be aware of all the things that go on in each theater. The set up is different than its Holcomb Bridge predecessor on the inside. Still very trendy looking and nice. It's located in the old Circuit City across from Target near 85, great location. Parking is a-plenty. The food and drinks were excellent, way better than nearby Movie Tavern, and the seating is more individualized. Will def be returning, glad to have them in the neighborhood. Yesterday I had the pleasure and pain (45 minute commute..ugh) of watching a decent movie at a pretty decent place. Although the line for tickets was long, they only had 4 agents, I can honestly say I enjoyed myself. The movie we originally set out to see was sold out, hence the long lines, so we chose another and had a 20 minute wait. We headed to the bar and experienced James, the bartender. Now I will admit to being overly animated because my ADHD was at 110% but James was awesome. He played along with my crazy requests (pretzels, peanuts, drink samples...etc..) and even recommended a few delicious menu items. Not to mention he was honest and friendly. The atmosphere was nice, complete with a spacious lounge area, comfortable seating and clean restrooms. I can't wait to come back with my sweetie. **4.5 STARS ** Alrightly, where should I start? After seeing continued Groupon deals for $6 a ticket, I finally purchased a couple the other night and ended up using them today. I took my fiancé with me and we've both never been here before. One thing I'd like to say about Atlanta is that you guys have these food-to-order with servers to tend to you and dining in with actual tables in the theatres--and this seems to be the norm here! I've lived in Vegas for the past 8 years and I have not seen these kinds of theaters before. I've been to the Movie Tavern in Tucker for my first experience but Studio Grill just HULK SMASHED them outta the game! The interior looks swanky-- very modern. There's a bar area as well as a separate longue area where my fiancé and I waited in until our theater was ready. Pretty comfy couches... Like I said I've NEVER been to a movie theater this aesthetically pleasing before. When we walked into our theater, all the seats had mini rotating tables with a red service button. All seats are lettered and numbered and you pick your seats while you're buying your ticket up front so if you decide to order something, the servers are able to find you easier in the dark theater. They also give you a slim menu before you sit down. It's pretty awesome. I ordered a Corona Rita which was delicious and my fiancé got Mahi Mahi tacos with a strawberry lemonade drink. The Mahi Mahi tacos were NASTY! Don't get them. Seriously. Halfway through the movie, they give you your bill and then before the movie ends, your order should be done and paid for. They did lose my debit card for a bit but they eventually found it. So no harm, no foul. Then out the doors you go--oh but wait! They give you mints at the door! Lol pretty random but cool too. This review was from my visit on 12/16/14 to watch the screening of The Wedding Ringer. I never got the chance to post it on Yelp, but I did posted it on their FB page: Tonight was the most terrible service I've had in a long time. I consider myself a patient person and not rude, but good lord, how many times did we needed to ask for water? We were the first seated and first to order. It took us 5 times, 3 different servers and one trip outside to the kitchen just to be turned away, for them to finally bring us plain tap water. I see why Alpharetta's SMG is much more popular now. Studio Movie Grill offers a different movie watching experience. They offer wait staff service at your seat. No need to stand in the long concession lines before your movie. They also offer advance seat purchasing, so no need to rush to find a good seat. I gave them 4 stars because of the following: Location: They currently have 2 locations in Ga, one on Holcomb Bridge and one conveniently down the street from my house in Duluth. This review will be for the one near my house. Parking is great because most times, they have the whole parking lot to themselves. Plenty of parking. There is also a parking lot across the street, if the theater parking lot is full. We've parked across the street once... It's safe. Service: the servers are nice; although they can be forgetful, especially during big showings like the Superman v. Batman movie we just saw. That movie was pretty awesome, BTW, you should definitely go see it (I'm not going to spoil it for you). Anyway, the servers will come after you push the red button on your counter, and take your order for any food or drinks. They offer alcoholic drinks too! Way to watch an action-packed movie like Superman v. Batman!! Food: the food is decent; they offer different specials throughout the week, so make sure to look at the back of your menu to find the daily specials. I enjoy the crispy, coconut chicken tenders the most. The BBQ bacon burger is great also- can't go wrong with bacon. Seriously. Seats: my only complaint here is the seats... They're comfortable enough, but I think the seats are getting old. Maybe an update, soon? The counter tops will not hold your food. The dishes/drinks will slide right off of it if you don't put something underneath. Price: the ticket prices aren't bad at all. They also always have groupon deal -$6 per ticket if you go during off peak hours. You can't use groupon during Friday and Saturday after 5pm, though. The prices of the food is reasonable. Overall, I spend a lot of time watching movies and I appreciate SMG being so close to my house and always having great groupon deals. A few friends and I caught a matinee last weekend with a $5 coupon. Even though this place has been open for a while, I never really had a strong desire to come. I've been to the Holcomb Bridge location several times, all with a $5 coupon. I wonder if the $5 coupon is a marketing strategy and if patrons would come back as frequently without a coupon. Upon walking in, I was impressed to be greeted with such great service. The lobby and bar area are very clean so kudos for having a great front of the house team! In the theatre, our seats were a bit wobbly. I'm not sure if this was intentional, but it didn't bother me that much. What did make me a bit uneasy was that the floors were somewhat sticky and the seats smelled like they needed washing. My girlfriend and I were talked into ordering the 2 for $25 combo. We started with the chicken nachos and I had the classic American burger. I am usually very, very hesitant to order bar food, especially not in bars, but the chicken nachos turned out to be very good and eased some of my hesitation. My burger though, that was another story. The fries were tasty, but somehow my burger was cold -cold- cold. I am not really sure how this could happen; I've never been served a cold burger in my life. I literally took two bites and trashed the rest. Piled high with ingredients and a poor effort to secure this huge bun, cold patty, and large pieces of vegetables with a tiny toothpick, I decided attempting to eat this burger was simply not worth the effort. Come here, like a lot of other people, if you have a $5 coupon. The theaters themselves have spacious walkways, comfortable leather seats (not reclining) and every seat is a good seat. The lobby area of this location is also pretty cool - small but I like to get there a little early to pre-game at the bar. So far I've enjoyed all the food I've tried. I recommend the wings, the burger and the hummus platter for those nights when trying to behave. SMG also has a good selection of cocktails and wine. I'm usually not a fan of the giant "fishbowl" margaritas but I LOVE the Studio Blue Margarita. The only gripe is there's room for improvement in their online services. It's great ordering tickets and selecting seats ahead of time, but there's $1.50/ ticket online booking fee and no option to save my info to avoid repeatedly entering all my stats. read more

Studio Movie Grill (SMG) is one of the new chains offering the "moviegoing with perks" experience. Basically, this is how it works: 1. You walk in and are bombarded with awful techno remixes of popular songs. 2. You spend about $10 a ticket and choose from one of the many new releases. You can actually choose your exact seat. 3. If seating has started, you will walk to your theatre and take a seat in a very comfy, albeit slightly creaky, oversized leather chair. 4. Press the red button on the lap-table and a waiter will appear shortly. 5. Order something from the pretty full and fairly reasonably-priced menu of everything from cocktails to appetizers to pizza to desserts. 6. Food takes about 15 minutes, but the servers are well-trained in serving you food with minimal distraction and disturbance. My friend and I saw "Olympus Has Fallen" last night and were happy to see the "All You Can Eat Pizza" special for Wednesdays for $10 a person. What was really cool was that even though we shared a pizza - the Thai chicken is delicious - we were only charged for one person. The soft drinks were a little pricey - $3.50 each - but this is the only theatre in Atlanta that also sells Pepsi products (gasp!) The real treat here is the A/V experience - amazing surround sound with picture perfect clarity. I am looking forward to checking this place out again and watching something like "The Great Gatsby." I usually have no issues when coming to this location. However, service has shot to pure shit. Firstly, I walk into theater 9 and it smells like PURE URINE, as if someone took a piss on the walls and no one on your staff seemed to care. Least of all the "manager" that I spoke to, black guy with a smart ass mouth. His response, "There's a lot of kids in there. Lots of diapers. What can I say?" How about NOT fucking that?! Completely dismissive and unconcerned. He blew me off like I was no one and my nose was not being assaulted for over 2 hours. Yet, this experience gets WORSE. One of the staff members, black guy with an afro puff ponytail on his head, decides that after stepping on my flip-flopped foot no apologies are necessary. Lastly, the girl who so solemnly took our order had an extremely nasty attitude. I ordered a large popcorn, but forgot to ask for butter. I decided to go and find her while I went to the restroom. I see her in the hall and she has an attitude because I ask for butter. Her response, "I was going to do that, anyway." I mean..what the fuck is UP WITH THE LACK OF CUSTOMER SERVICE?!! I absolutely love this place! There's no other place I'd rather watch a movie! They always have the movie I want to see, extremely comfortable chairs, and fast service. You can buy your tickets in advance online and select your seat before you get there! AWESOME! SMG is one of those theaters that have a full bar and full menu. They have a surprisingly large selection of food that ranges from popcorn and candy to Burgers to brownie sundaes. Believe it or night the food is really good too! They have a different special every night of the week, for example, all-you-can-eat pizza night! SMG also has selected movies for $5 which are usually the movies that have been in the theater for 2-3 weeks. They also have $2 movies for kids and some older movies as well! SMG is my favorite theater in the city as far as value and experience. My family loves going to the movies. We typically stick with AMC at Phipps, Studio Movie Grill, and Movie Tavern. We used to go to Fork & Screen, but didn't care for the food, and CineBistro is nice but it's overpriced. SMG is the perfect combination of all of those. Ok, so I've been here on more than one occasion, but this review is about my last visit this past Saturday(2-28-15). 1st off, I LOVE this theater, although it's ALWAYS packed everytime we(my boyfriend and I) go! It's very clean, and the aisles are very spacious! The food is good and the CoronaRitas are the BEST that we've had thus far!! We are always very pleased w/the outcome of the drinks and they've been very consistent w/the taste of them as well! *This is going to be very specific(and lengthy) but b/c of the way the situation was handled, I just have to include it in my review: We "attempted" to watch 50 Shades of Grey, and when I say "attempted", just keep reading and you'll understand better. We go to our seats and to my UTTER DISBELIEF, sitting right behind us was a family of 3...Mama, Daddy and....wait for it...Child!!! OMGG!! Say what now!!! Well, I was in total shock and very annoyed at this point...fast-forward to about 20 mins into the movie when the scenes get very "adult oriented" and my body starts to feel very warm....No, not b/c I'm getting turned on, but b/c I'm getting very uncomfortable w/ this child sitting right behind me watching this movie!!! Anyway, I COULD not concentrate, so I proceeded to leave(boyfriend was kinda annoyed at me for leaving and thought that I over-reacted, but OH Well, he got over it). Ok, on to the handling of the situation and why I had to include the details. Since we ordered drinks, I had to go and tell the staff that I was leaving the movie and to go ahead and pay my tab. Well, she asked me what was the problem, I told her and she apologized(not that it was her fault, but b/c of the RIDICULOUS parents). She also said " Ma'am wait right here and let me go tell a manager". When she came back out she had 2 free movie passes for us to come back and watch the movie again! OMGG!!!! That was was so considerate of them to do that! They could have well told me that they were sorry for my inconvenience and had me go on my "Merry" way, but they didn't and instead compensated us for the "Stupidity" of the parents that decided to take a child to see this movie! Hate it there honestly... but when it comes to anime movies they are good. The chairs are so uncomfortable! It was freezing outside and freezing on the inside (ac was on full blast) Nachos was $13 and disgusting! This place really needs to do better. read more

The food comes out really fast which is a plus. The seats are very uncomfortable. I felt like I was about to slide on the floor the entire movie. If they upgrade that then the experience would be worth it. read more

2/20/2015 We decided to leave the boys at home for an impromptu ladies night out at Studio Grill to see a Mr. Christian Grey. Within the past 2 months I have visited this location 4 times last night being the 4th. Each experience has been pretty much the same. Everyone is always courteous and pretty prompt once that red button is pushed. Last night we met Jennifer. Jennifer was our waitress who took our drink order. Jennifer had to be the smallest cutest little thing with the biggest personality that I've encountered in a while. Her smile and great energy was so contagious it immediately knocked me out of my sour mood from the work week. I told her that I wanted to take a walk on the wild side and order a Corona Rita (something that I normally would not order being an anti beer drinker and wine connoisseur). She told me how great it was and recommended that I add a flavor for an additional $1. Jennifer also said that if I didn't like it she would pay for it. I was sold. My drink was so cute and huge when they brought it out I was tickled. Need I say how delicious it was? Kudos to you Jennifer and your big bright smile! Now about the food...the appetizer of choice were the loaded potato skins and buffalo wings. I personally indulged in the potato skins while my sis braved the hot wings. Before we even tasted the wings I could tell they were going to be super hot. The sauce was so red and pungent I could have sworn my nostril hairs were singed when I took a whiff of them. Sis thoroughly yet slowly enjoyed them. My potato skins came loaded with the usual minus the bacon by choice. They were perfectly crisp on the outside, mushy on the inside, seasoned well, hot and delicious. I couldn't eat them all though I wanted to. I had to save room for my entree and dessert. I chose the macaroni and cheese for my entree and for a few extra dollars added blackened chicken. They were not stingy with the chicken at all. I had a mouthful of chicken with every bite. I really appreciated that. The chicken was seasoned well but I thought they could have added just a tad more flavor to the mac n cheese. After a few bites I boxed it up for home and ordered a cheesecake for dessert. The slice that I received was big enough for 2 or 3 people. I tried to share it with my sis but she was still working on those spicy wings lol. The cheesecake was creamy and tasty after I let it sit for a bit. You see,it was delivered to me partially frozen. Strawberries included. After maybe 3 bites I was stuffed and couldn't go any further. My bill came to $44.91. Was it worth? Absolutely and I can't wait to do it again next month as my cheat meal of choice. This location rocks. I'm very big on cleanliness so with that said. Each theater room I've been in was always clean as well as the bar area and restrooms but SMG please I beg of you, please clean your menus. Nothing like sitting down hungry ready to order and opening up a sticky menu. The noise that it makes alone is enough to make one such as myself cringe. I came to this theater to watch creed 3 the food was OK. But I was charged twice, especially for an item I did not order. they said they would refund it but my card would not work. They gave me cash refund for $12 for the drink, but I still see two charges for a total of$32.I called the theater for a refund. No response yet. The staff seem overwhelmed. read more

This place is like the most amazing place I LOVE ITTT without this place I would literately dieeee. When I'm bored I go to this place and the most amazing service. We have to wait like 20 min and we get our food it's AMAZING. I don't even know what to say I will say amazing like a million times. This place is amaaaaaazing! Love the food and the drinks! I had the extra long island iced tea alcohol drink and fell in love. This drink is awesomely perfect. I ordered the crispy tenders to eat and some honey BBQ wings. All great. The layout is very nice and the decor is modern chic. You can hang out in the lounge, watch tv, or see a movie. Great for date nights. This is the only way to see movies from here on out. I have been to other movie tavern concepts, but none compare to studio movie grill. It's all in the detail. They even offer you a dinner mint on the way out of the theater. The seats are comfy and great leg room. Seating is not an issue because you have assigned seating that you get to choose. They have a 2 for $25 special which includes an appetizer and 2 entrees which is nice. The movie price is standard, but the service and experience are top notch. Love it! read more

I really enjoy going here to see movies because of the big comfy chairs. I have never ordered here since I don't particularly like burgers, fries, chicken strips, and those types of items. If I'm out enjoying a good evening, I'd rather go dine out at a real restaurant (just my mindset). The movie selection is up to date with current releases. There's a good deal of movie choices to choose from, but a bit less compared to Regal. I can sometime find good deals online. Always a plus. :) The down side to this are super long lines that form, especially during the weekend--peak movie going times. There is also a bar/lounge/dance area for you to chill as well. Yes, it does sound strange, but there are people who chill here. Still, I love this place because the Duluth area has plenty restaurants, bakeries, and even Asian grocery stores if you want to take advantage of a relaxing evening. read more

I come here to watch a movie occasionally because it is so close to my house. However, this theater needs to make a lot of improvements. First of all, a lot of chairs are broken. When i went there to watch a movie, my chair was so broken I almost fell from it. Secondly, food is mediocre. Nothing special. Typical over-priced movie theatre food. I ordered wings and they were soggy and very salty. I always ask my food to come out hot but it never does. It is kinda warm and cold sometimes. However, the servers always have been pleasant and that is probably why I still visit this place. read more

I love this Studio Movie Grill location! The staff is always very friendly and professional. The menu is pretty extensive and has tasty options for vegetarians, which I'm always thankful for! I've had their black bean burger before and it's delicious! They offer spiked milkshakes, which is a fun twist on the normal adult beverages offered. My favorite menu item is their steamed edamame appetizer - I get it every single time I go! Their 2 for $25 meal deal has limited options, but for that price I'm not complaining too much! As far as seating, I'm always pleased with the comfort and cleanliness of my chair and swing top table, and I've never had any problems reserving my seat beforehand online. They're always having great deals on Groupon - $6 for a ticket is awesome! The only issue I've had with SMG Duluth is the way they handle their advanced screenings of films. I love that they do advanced screenings at all, but the night of the event you have to stand in a hundreds of people deep line to hopefully get a seat. I wish they'd work like other theaters and allow you to reserve a seat a few days beforehand and not waste an hour or more in line the night of the screening. Overall, I love SMG Duluth! read more
