Service has no rhyme or reason and the food is average at best. Unfortunately it's the only option in the area.

What an amazing discovery! I was in the area and searched for a good lunch restaurant. Brown Bag…read moreEatery popped up. Brown Bag is located not far from Caloosahatchee River in a strip mall. Don't let the outside fool you. The original establishment was more for take-out and catering but now fixed up with six tables. It is not a fancy place but comfortable and cozy. What is lacking in space made up in taste. I sampled their Philly Cheese steak with coleslaw with Snapple Peach Iced Tea. The Cheese steak was cooked to perfection and coleslaw with right balance between creamy, tangy, and sweet. I took the chocolate chip cookie home. Love that cookie! Next table patron recommended me to try the Rueben, Italian Pasta salad and soup next time! The price is reasonable. Mom and her staff are friendly with that neighborhood feel! A great place for lunch!

Hubs enjoyed a turkey and cheddar sandwich, my chili soup and cranberry walnut sandwich were delicious. Panera offers variety on their menu, they have a big selection of sandwiches, soups like broccoli cheddar, Mac and cheese, salads and bakery treats like bagels and desserts. Drinks include smoothies, flavored ice teas, various coffees and those delicious lemonades. This restaurant has good parking and is located right off Pine Island Rd. Panera has good consistency, so it's always nice to run across Panera for lunch when you're out of town. This is one of the larger Panera restaurants I've seen. We didn't go inside, but the parking lot was clean and service was fast. It's always nice to have the convenience of a drive through, along with a healthy lunch.

Well anyway, the food was delish and I love their soufflés! The coffee has improved from years ago and we love the dark brew and the hazelnut blend. So we finally sat done to a warm delicious breakfast with all the other early birds there doing the same!

Entering the shop, it's well lit and clean looking. There's very few places to sit, maybe 4 tables. We ordered at the counter, with the server explaining how the menu works. Being minimalists, we ordered the small warm lobster roll with butter (and a pickle on the side). I also ordered the shrimp and crab chowder. They also have bags of potato chips. While waiting, the server explained how the shop came to be; she was very friendly and accommodating. After a short wait, our food was delivered. The chowder was amazing, hot and perfectly spiced. The lobster rolls were what we hoped for - lots of lobster and delicious. It's a bit pricey but it is, after all, lobster. We'll definitely go back. We'll save it for special a occasion.

After having come across their Instagram account some time ago, we've talked about eating at this…read moresemi-permanent food truck often, but just haven't been able to get there. After months of drooling over their posts, we finally made it happen and it did not disappoint. I (JH) have never had Venezuelan food before so I wasn't sure what to get. After the kind gentleman explained the menu items to us, I ended up with a Cachapa with ham. In full disclosure I don't know what a cachapa is "supposed" to taste like so I have no baseline to compare it to, but as far as flavor goes, this was fantastic. The outside reminded me of a thinner, slightly crispier arepa. The sweet corn wasn't too sweet and the butter gave it a great sweet/salty combo. The inside is filled with what's called De Mano cheese...think of it like a mozzarella type cheese. And boy did they fill it! In addition to the cheese I added ham, but I could have gone with smoked pork, steak, more cheese, sausage, etc. AND I could have gotten as many meats as I wanted to, they're just all an up charge...obviously. I (JD) had the UBF Burger and it was fantastic. This monster comes with Lettuce, Tomato, Cheese, Bacon , Egg, Cabbage, Potato Chips, Ketchup, Mayo, Mustard, Pink Sauce, Green Sauce, and a side of delicious fries. When a sandwich has things like "pink sauce" and "green sauce" listed, count me in! The burger was massive. I got the double beef, but you can customize from a single to a quad, as well as pick one of their other meat options (see JH's review for list). The "potato chips" are the delicious little potato sticks and they were a nice addition to the sandwich. Their French fries were amazing. I don't know if they put a really lite breading on them, but they had a delightful little crispness to them. Not listed on the menu is a house made drink described to us as kind of a sweet tea/lemonade, but they use real tea leaves, cane sugar and other ingredients that weren't listed, but tasted differently wonderful. They have 6 covered and lit picnic tables which was good, but being that the truck is located on Bayshore road across from the North Fort Myers Wal-Mart, you do hear quite a bit of traffic, though that didn't seem to interrupt our conversations at all so it's not too intrusive. It wasn't what we would consider cheap as our orders totaled about $24 each, but it's a food truck and we expect to pay a little more. At UBF, we're happy to do so and support them making delicious food. Make sure you check their hours before you go though, they aren't open everyday. But we definitely recommend you go!

Was the food amazing? No, but it was solid diner food and definitely a step above what you'd get at most chains. My husband said his Reuben was decent, and that's about how I felt about my burger. He wished the Thousand Island dressing had been on the sandwich instead of served on the side, and I really wished my bun had been toasted. It was buttered, so I think they just forgot to throw it on the flat top. Nothing was bad and we certainly didn't leave disappointed. The food just didn't have that homemade or memorable quality that makes us want to go out of our way to come back, especially with so many great places to eat around town. That said, I wouldn't hesitate to meet friends here for lunch, and the staff was genuinely so friendly that I almost hate saying anything remotely negative. I also have a feeling some of their daily specials might be where they really shine. Overall, a nice little neighborhood diner with good people, decent food, and clearly a lot of loyal customers. I'm glad we gave it a try!

The café was neat and clean, with a dining area larger than we expected. Its décor appears to pay tribute to Johnny Cash, with photographs of the singer displayed throughout the restaurant. What We Ordered * Two-Egg Sammie Sandwich with sausage patties on rye toast * Traditional Breakfast with two eggs, two strips of bacon, hash browns, and rye toast Food and Service Our meals arrived quickly and exceeded our expectations. The portions were generous, filling most of each plate, and everything was served hot and flavorful. My two-egg sandwich was very good, and my wife thoroughly enjoyed her traditional breakfast. She said her eggs were cooked better than any she has had in the area so far. Final Impression The coffee was good, perhaps not exceptional, but still enjoyable.
