First time to Waffle House and this place exceeded all expectations ten fold. Clean restaurant, amazing staff, otherworldly food. The waffles tasted like heaven. Really don't know how to put into words how amazing this place and the people working here are. I wanted to keep ordering waffle after waffle. Great location! Very clean and very friendly staff. We came in at 1:30pm on a Monday and everyone greeted us and was very nice. Our waitress Megan was awesome and very attentive and kind. Got us to-go drinks on the way out, very appreciative. Got the peanut butter waffle and it was nice and crisp on the outside and soft on the inside, peanut butter chips were a nice addition. We got the bacon egg and cheese melt and the patty melt plates and they were both fantastic! The hashbrowns were so crispy and soft in the middle and the chili and ham chunks were great on top. A good place for Southern comfort food in the Cape Coral Area! This is one of the (over) 2100 locations located in the United States. It looks like there are about 190 Waffle Houses in Florida. There are 2 of these restaurants within about 3 miles of each other along the Del Prado Blvd. This particular restaurant is located on the northeast side of the Del Prado Blvd and Veterans Parkway junction. Parking is limited at the location but there is additional parking in the adjacent parking lots to the east. It is set up like a typical Waffle house with a staff that greets you when you enter. You can eat at the tall counter, low counter, or in the booths to the left and right of the counters. The menu is regular American fare with everything from breakfast to lunch/dinner items all served throughout the day . The prices are very reasonable. The restaurant was not very crowded when we visited. The place was very clean. The waitress came to take our order quickly. We ordered the waffles (of course) and bacon and drinks. The food came out quickly and tasted very good. The staff was very professional, the price was good and the food was excellent. Yay! I'm a fan. When I arrived at 8:30am on a weekday, there were a few other customers and the jukebox was belting out something a little loud. I was immediately visited by a waitress and because I was ready with my order, it was placed quickly. Coffee arrived and before I was halfway through the first cup, my Fiesta Omelet (everything, except jalapenos) was set down. Cooked perfectly and loaded properly. A great breakfast this morning. Waffle House is Waffle House. I love it and I hate to love it. I visited this location twice while on a recent trip. Yes, that is a lot of carbs, don't remind me. So the first visit I got a 2 egg meal and split a waffle with someone else. The waitress taking the order insisted that meat came with the 2 egg meal even though it doesn't say it does and lists ala carte meat below. I questioned this - twice - and was told "yes, it comes with meat." I did not pay the bill, but I am PRETTY sure we were charge separate for meat (which I wouldn't have gotten except that she insisted it came with it.) I believe she said "There's a different menu, its on there." Ok, whatever. So the next time I go with the Value meal or whatever it is because....I needed a whole waffle this time (see my review for ABC Wine & Spirits, ahem). I ask this waitress if the 2 egg meal comes with meat "No." Just as I figured. I also did not receive a beverage with my value meal even though its supposed to come with a coffee yet we were charged for my husband's coffee. So, all that to say that the staff could use a bit of schooling on the menu - especially since ordering ala carte really bumps the price on your meal up. Also, grits turned to concrete once they cooled. I always go for hashbrowns but thought I should mention that. Regardless, I don't expect fine dining when I got to Waffle House so I will just continue to stuff greasy, sugary carbs in my face and be happy. read more

They were very busy but the kindness and great service was absolute. Quick, prompt, absolutely delicious! Unfortunately went to the location closer to home on the south side of del prado near cape parkway and was turned away, told I was not allowed to place a carry out. I then replied I would order and get a box, clearly thinking it was a joke, I was told no ma'am you would HAVE to eat it here or I cannot take your order. Like wow!! Big props to this location! So. I never thought I'd be writing a Waffle House review... but... here I am. We were greeted at the door and seated quickly by very friendly and smiling staff. They were talking with each other, friendly, and appear happy. As we are, we could see under the grill area- SPOTLESS and they were amidst a rush. Even the floor was clean. Well it was my sons Bday and hes Waffle House so of course we went for dinner. Service was horrible, our waitress must've been new, didn't receive our drinks till we had to ask for them, then when she brought them it was wrong drinks. Wife and i had supposedly T-bone steak w/eggs, was told by cook the T-bone is better more meat....haha more like cooked chewy/tuff rubber, only reason I gave 2 stars my son enjoyed his waffles and our scrambled eggs were good. Man, there were a lot of people working here, and when the nice lady took my order she turned around and asked specific people (by name) for eggs scrambled lite, another person for bacon, yet another for hash browns and another human for white toast with extra butter. Everything came to me *exactly* right, steaming hot, tout de suite. It's not often I get my slightly runny eggs exactly as I want, I was pleasantly surprised. And happy. When we came in today there was no one else as customers. Waitress "Skylah" was eating in the corner. Tables were all dirty where we wanted to sit. I asked if she could clean the space very nicely and she gave a big time nasty attitude "What? Usually no one sits here because we have booths". Well the booth area was dirty too. Maybe if she stopped eating long enough to work. Again nobody else was in the restaurant. If I see her ever again Im turning around and leaving. Always good service here until today. Really good food and nice atmosphere however there was a customer who came in Christmas Eve who must have been four hundred pounds, his boobs hanging out the side of his shirt talking about "someone shit on a seat". All the staff seemed to know him as I'm assuming he's a regular but the guy was loud, obnoxious and kept talking about a previous customer "shitting" on a chair and how his lunch should be free. I swear he used the word "shit" a dozen times. Not necessarily the restaurants fault but the guy definitely soured the experience. I have never left a review before but felt like it is necessary in this difficult time. We are all living in a new world and we all need to support each other. I've been deprived of Waffle House for the last 4 years due to where I lived and was excited to indulge this morning. They were very sanitary and aware of the new ordinances . Used a QR code for the menu which is genius, saving money and not wasting paper on throw away menus. Ty was our server and she was amazing! Extremely personable and fulfilled all my quirky needs! Great late night munch spot! The boyfriend and I stopped here after a fun night of miniature golf. My boyfriend decided on the hash brown bowl, which is made up of a not too crispy hash brown bottom layered with cheesy scrambled eggs and a choice of crumbled sausage or bacon. We both decided to get this monster bowl with bacon. What a great dish! The service was excellent. Our food came out quickly, and the staff was super nice. Ive gone to this Waffle House a few times now and have personally had a good experience. The food is great and the service is overall good. The weekend hostess has always been friendly and great even when there is a line out the door. However, today i saw something that really bothered me. It was very busy and our server Sue was very slow to clean our table up So we could be seated. The cook then went over and took the dishes off of the table to clear it for the server who was just standing behind the counter seemingly doing nothing but talking to other servers. The cook whose name is James got his name when we checked out because I was so upset turned around and yelled at the hostess on the other side of the restaurant in front of everyone that "she needed to do her job better and help out more" and he was really nasty about it. The hostess who was busy handling customers left the door and went over and wiped down the table. The cook/manager? then turned around and called her a name under his breath but loud enough that we heard it as he walked away. I dont think the hostess heard him or she is just so used to that that she ignored him finished cleaning up and went back to the door obviously upset but still being professional and kind to customers. It was completely disrespectful but as a woman no female should be spoken to or like that in their work. We were seated and had our meal. Later I saw the hostess apologizing to a customer about it as they left as if she should be apologizing for anything! . Ive been in a few times now and seen this same cook be nasty and create issues with the servers and the hostess before. I don't understand how this kind of behavior is still allowed to continue in any place of work. If I was the employer I would show that man to the door. Today was a final straw so we wont be back to this location. When you go out to eat you shouldn't have to watch a man be so unprofessional and inappropriate with his female coworkers. I'm assuming he must be the weekend manager because. he sure seemed like he was trying to run the show. Maybe he should have focused his attention more on the server Sue who was at best below adequate. Erica, with a star covering part of her name--she must get a lot of complaints, threw a jelly on our table busy Sunday morning after standing in the middle of everyone laughing with the other employees about something funny on her cell phone! Then went into the back in clear view of customers, there's really no back in a Waffle House, and continued texting. Came out and tossed a bill on another table then went into the "back" hung out the back door smoking, and texting, and laughing it up with another smoking employee in plain sight. The manger was working harder than both of those two who were not on break. The young lady who took our name, and then went car to car (for real) to find someone with a take out order, was awesome and should be given a raise. Our waitress was great. Not too long a wait. Food was good, except grits were already peppered up before they hit the table. To the very hard working manager and the rest of the staff: get rid of Eric*.
