I don't usually review without actually eating but this place makes it nearly impossible to be a customer. Someone told me that this is the best pizza in all of Arizona, so I obviously had to try it. I was already annoyed hearing it was a cash only business which in 2026 screams tax evasion. My first attempt was driving there during there published weekend hours. Upon arrival, realized place was locked up and nobody working there. 30 minutes of my life I never get back as well as some pissed off, hungry kids. Highly annoyed I decided to give it a try weeks later and this time called multiple times. Each time rings to no answer or busy. So if the business is closed then this review has no bearing . The Crust: Thin, sturdy, and nicely baked around the edges with a good, subtle char. Held up well under the weight of the toppings without getting soggy in the middle. I appreciate our neighborhood take-out pizza spot. The guys who run it are old school for sure and I've missed that. They will absolutely tell your kids to mind their manners and listen to their parents- it's awesome. Their hours vary, which reminds me a lot of the small mom and pop shops from back in the day. My husband and I called in a takeout order from here tonight! My husband called in around 5 pm, it was ready on time in 40 minutes. They were closing by the time he got there as apparently they only make 42 pizzas per day and that's it! We got a plain cheese pizza. It was definitely on the pricier side, $30 about for a large. If you are looking for bomb a$$ NY style pizza this is the spot. Robert (the face) and Dino (the Pizzola) are both great characters in this pizza story. Both help out but it's just these two "older gentlemen" slangin great pies. If you are in a hurry don't come but if you're willing to wait for some good pizza lovin then this is the spot. Call when they open and they will make your pie for what time you need it. Basically they make it when you get there so be prepared to wait 15 for the pizza but sit back and enjoy chatting with Robert while you wait and have a sarsaparilla for "Mexican" coke. They buy only good stuff, take their time, and it shows. Start with the ONKY thing that wasn't excellent... probably the only thing they don't make in house... Ranch is tart. I have a feeling they wouldn't like people that like ranch with pizza though. Probably hidden valley or Ken's but that's OK! They do have wings so heads up. Just not my favorite. Pizza has a GREAT crisp and chew. Couldn't be better!!! We got two pies... a whole white and a half pepperoni and the other half sausage and mushroom. The white was delicious. Heavy on garlic and great flavor. Crust was the same on both. Perfect New York. I might add fresh mozzarella next time. A winner! Pepperoni has a nice spice and SUPER solid. Love it. The sausage and mushroom half was definitely the best I've had. Some sort of ethereal mild sweetness that was divine. Quality is tangible. NY pizza is not a "best pizza I ever had" type of thing for me (that's Cibo but this is TOTALLY different, just to give you all an idea of my style). Dino, the owner, made our pizza and wings. The pizza was 10/10. The wings were also insanely good and he pulled out the hot sauce for them from a jar (you could tell it was homemade). The hot sauce was insanely good with lots of flavors and had fresh ingredients/texture. My husband and I are foodies who've had lots of pizza from across the greater Phoenix area. He's easily top 3! This pizza is excellent. I have not had better pizza in Arizona. This place is a room with some guys and some ingredients and an oven. The pie is very clean, I wasn't fighting grease on the underside and using napkins. You could easily take this pizza on the go and eat it easily. The service was great. read more

First you have to know that I'm from NY. And New Yorkers have very specific expectations of their pizza. First thin crust. The dough must have a chew. It's hard to explain, but those who know, know. There is a ratio of sauce to cheese, and the cheese itself has a specific mouth feel and pull. And this pizza, check, check, check. This is a great pizza. As we ate the pizza, my wife and I kept saying, "this is a great pizza". So if like me you're always in search for a great pizza, try O.G. Pizza. Other things you should know. This is a really small place. There really isn't anywhere to sit and eat inside. There is a shelf with some stools along the window, but it isn't wide enough to hold the pizza box. So this is mostly a takeout place. And another thing you need to know is this a cash only establishment. They do have an ATM machine if you need. Also, everything is made when ordered, so there is a wait time. Wings are cooked in the oven, not fried, so expect a 30 minute wait if you order when you get there. As I said, this is a small place. The owner, who is great, I had a wonderful time talking with him while he made my Pizza, takes your order and then gets to work making it. O.G. Is about a 20 minute drive, and I will have no hesitation to take that time to go and get this pizza. read more

Decent pizza, but I am tired of cash businesses. I don't carry cash, don't like the "convenient" ATM that will charge me a fee. I pay my taxes, you should too. AND, if you are going to continue this practice, please let customers know BEFORE they order. It feels like a bait and switch kind of scenario.
