However, I do like the convenience of shopping in store when I need something right away. I will say the parking lot of the Bellevue store always makes me jittery when going there because the spaces are tight or awkwardly designed. Not to mention the amount of cars circling the parking lot makes me concerned about fender benders, which leads me to avoid it if I can.

Since the return was two days old I went with original packing and receipt. The guy at the store was completely rude and argued he needs to test in case he is satisfied that lights are faulty he will speak with the dealer for replacement. ( Takes 5 - 10 days ) . He was not ready for exchange or store credit. when I pulled the return policy they mentioned it is not applicable. Prices are high (actual cost for the light combo in REI and AMAZON is 60$ whereas I spent 83$ ) with no support. Please don't waste your time and energy.

Finally, someone recommended to go into the North Face store. Closest NF store is Bellevue Square. When I arrived, I was greeted and after I posed my question about repairs - I was directed to the cash out desk. There Greg greeted me and asked what the issue was. I explained that I've had this coat for years - that zipper slider pull was broke. He then went into action - looking up the style number and all the while explaining that the coat was under warranty. Once he was able to read/interpret the style number he issued me a gift card that I was able to get a brand new coat. Greg was amazing! Service at North Face Bellevue Square was the best. What a pleasure to hear 'yes' versus no. Thank you Greg! PS - I left my ear pods in my old jacket - called and YES!!! They had the earbuds. Would have given 0 stars if I could. Tried to return an online order on Black Friday and the store…read morerefused because they were "too busy" -- there were maybe 10 people in the entire place. Both the associate and the manager kept saying the return process would "take too long" and be impossible, especially since it was paid with Apple Pay. When I mentioned it would have been helpful if the website noted not to return items in-store on Black Friday, the manager defended the brand by saying, "As you can tell, we are very busy." He even added, "If the line gets backed up, it's on you", which was a wild thing to say to a customer simply trying to make a return. I then asked for a gift card instead (since Apple Pay isn't supported for in-store returns), and was told the gift card system was conveniently down. After driving 45 minutes to get here, it was clear this was a mix of system limitations and a complete unwillingness to help. Immediately went to the Vuori store for another return and the experience was the exact opposite. The North Face Bellevue Square location was easily the worst customer service I've experienced at any brand store. Clearly they don't care about losing a longtime customer.

REI has flagged my account as an "excessive returns" customer and now limits my purchases to effectively being final sale, even though REI widely promotes its customer-friendly return policy. What is especially frustrating is that the company has refused to remove this restriction despite my requests and despite my history as a customer. I understand that retailers need safeguards against abuse, but the process lacks transparency. I was not provided with a clear explanation of what specific returns triggered the restriction, what criteria were used, or what steps I could take to regain normal purchasing privileges. As a result, I no longer feel comfortable making purchases from REI because I am being held to a different standard than other customers while still paying the same prices. A return policy is only useful when customers can reasonably rely on it, and in my case that trust has been lost. I hope REI improves the transparency and fairness of its customer account review process.

Being immersed in the Washington wilderness, learning hands-on skills, and reconnecting to nature and where food truly comes from was powerful. Field dressing and butchering the goat was a real highlight. Eating that same meat throughout the week made the process tangible and meaningful. For me personally, there was an emotional journey in witnessing the taking of a life and honoring it by turning it into food. We were also well fed with amazing meals throughout each day, all prepared by Jim, the chef during the whole experience. I successfully hunted my first squirrel, got in some rifle practice, and was introduced to the basics of tracking. I also connected with others who were on their own journey to learn more about hunting, which added to the sense of shared purpose and depth. Bruce is a deep, present, and grounded teacher. It was a gift to learn from him and to meet his lovely wife and daughter. If you're looking for a real, holistic introduction to hunting, this course delivers.
